That just started with this event, maybe to differentiate scores more?
-
Holy crap, look at the back of the track, it looks like they've connected the containers with ramps.
-
So he may not have thrown the race at all, may have just been a sloppy run.
-
That looked rough, think it's repairable by tomorrow?
-
0.003 second margin of victory in the first semi-final, is that the closest since the beginning of the electronic timing?
EDIT: TWO IN A ROW? HOLYOIJREIOHPRESSFVCEEGH -
That's four crashes now, for whoever wants to keep count. Hopefully they're all out of the way now and the big event tomorrow isn't a hellhole of tires and chassis.
-
What has unfolded so far tonight further proves that the two-day format had to happen. An extra day for teams that severely crash in qualifying and racing have much more time to fix up.
-
Dear god, probably one of the worst dead stops in 15 years of the World Finals. Wish him the best for the rest of the weekend after that rough start.
-
jeez that looks rough, and that's probably unrepairable for tonight, Donald's gonna be at the bottom.
-
Looks good so far, I wonder if the added obstacles will be the same color and design.
-
I think there will definitely be obstacles on the sides of the stadium near the wall, there's just seems like too much there for them not to add something. I think the racing lanes will definitely be added on to, and the backside of the middle table top will be very interesting.
-
Too early to know for sure of course, but the two 'backflip ramps' from this angle look extremely different. I'll go out on a limb here and say the one of the left is breakable and the one on the right isn't.

After seeing that back view and how much room there is on the left side, I have a feeling obstacles will be added there between racing and freestyle as well. It seems like the track crew is using the two day format really well.
-
The only thing that worries me is that if someone happens to fully clear the quadruples, then they will probably crash head on into the backflip obstacles. Other than that and the 2 backflip ramps (exactly the same as World Finals 14 from last year) the track is looking great. Can't wait for tomorrow to fly out to Las Vegas, NV.
You know, I was thinking the exact same thing, and truthfully if that does happen it could cause some of the most wow factor-y moves.

Freestyle is either going to be amazing or absolute hell. And I'm extremely happy that there is finally a quadruple jump, I've been hoping for that since WF9.
-
I swear one day Jimmy's gonna run out of colors. That's one of my favorite avenger colors yet.
-
Scott's odds for this year are up, any opinions?
-
Very interesting choice, not complaining about it because Randy's good and hasn't been to Vegas in a while, but it will be interesting to see a Finals without Lupe, Neil, Chad Tingler, OR Jon Zimmer. Unless of course FELD has some uber-humongous surprise in store, but I don't think that would happen.
-
Whether the line-up's amazing or terrible I'll still be tuning in to the live chat all three days. Sure, people make it, people don't, that happens. But I'll be satisfied as long as the show is great, and that will certainly happen.
-
I'm gonna make two predictions that I would bet money on, because I think they're both extremely likely to happen.
1. Steven Sims wins.
2. Steve Koehler crashes.

Me seeing many backflips in real life, the first time you see one it is very cool. At Philadelphia 2012 I was fascinated. But since I have seen them many times before I just say "eh cool" when one happens
I was about to say the exact same thing. I wasn't at a show with backflips during freestyle until this past Minneapolis show, and no matter how many you see on a screen, seeing it live for the first time is pretty cool.
That being said, I only like them now when they go wrong. From my perspective, the normal, straight-on, predictable backflip is overdone. But when it's either hit sideways, or with a broken truck, or goes into a funky bounce, or maybe even in the future is hit in reverse, it catches my interest again. Wouldn't have said this after everyone else but I have a feeling this brings a different point into this discussion.
-
I'm sure they won't, he's seeming to have an off season this year but that shouldn't change his invitation. This would be his 7th consecutive time for crying out loud.

Quincy 2008, 2010 (Muddy as hell, two of the five trucks couldn't start for freestyle)
Rosemont 2009, 2010
WF10
St Louis 2011
Minneapolis Second Show 2012
Detriot First Show 2013
Final Metrodome Show 2013
Been to a lot of places only once, probably should change that.

Wow, Scott really went off at the end there.
