  1. I don't think the Hummer HX thing is gonna pan out. So, instead let's just go with the Blue Thunder body and Metal Mulisha's chassis. I'm referring to the versions of these trucks from the V4 pack. The chassis should be purple. I'd also like the spoiler thing on the back of the cab to be purple as well. Please keep the headlight and taillights, also. Everything else would be the same as I described in my original post.
  2. After trying the Rockstar truck, it doesn't feel much different. And after a side by side comparison with another truck, the wheelbase isn't much shorter.
  3. I still need to get my controls figured out. I'm wanting to use my Logitech G27 wheel and pedals but the gas and brake won't work right. When I'm just playing to goof around and try stuff, I use my Xbox controller but that has really touchy front steering. So it's hard for me to really get a feel for any truck. Although, I was just driving around in the Grave Digger 30th anniversary purple truck and it felt pretty good. I'll give the Rockstar truck a try and see how it feels. I've looked at it a couple times. The way it sits and the wide wheelbase, it kinda reminds me of the old Thunder Chicken truck.
  4. Will it handle as good with a shorter wheelbase? I'm wanting to race this thing so handling is gonna be a necessity. Or would a shorter wheelbase actually make it handle better? Something tells me it won't even matter because I can't find the body for the HX. I'm thinking I might as well go with a regular truck body, at least for now.
  5. The best bet I've found on the body is this http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-highpoly-hummer-hx-concept/392487 but they want $155 for the full 3D model and I'm not even sure if it would work. So, that's probably a no dice. I've also come across two guys that have done something that might be workable. One guy on the official RoR forum did a golf cart version of the HX but it has no roof or doors, it's basically just the front-end and back-end. That can be found here http://www.rigsofrods.com/repository/view/4861 if you look at the top picture, it's the one on the far right. The other thing I found is a guy on deviantART that did a full 3D model of the HX which can be found here http://toxicboy-3d.deviantart.com/art/Hummer-HX-3D-car-135393180 He modeled it using a program called Vray. I don't know if that would be something that's a well known thing around here, and I don't know if it would work. But, I have contacted both of those guys about their work and if they'd be willing to share it with us. Hopefully one of them will get back to me about it and we can get something going. I do appreciate the response, steiale, thank you for being willing to help. As for the transmission thing, if it's not allowed to have a 3rd gear for racing, then we can forget about it. I wouldn't want my truck to be like Bigfoot 8 in 1990. Another thing I'd like to add to the description, I'd like a Hemi Powered decal on the back-end of the truck. Just something to denote that it's running on a Hemi engine. I'm gonna keep hunting for a workable body for this thing. If I can't find it, I'll have to come up with a plan-B for the body. We'll see what happens.
  6. I really hope this can be done as I'd really like to use this truck to race in any upcoming racing leagues that might be happening soon. If somebody could pull it off I'd be very thankful. Name: Night Rider Body: Dodge Ram? (Wildstyle) Chassis: The chassis from the Goblin truck. Paint: Black body, dark purple chassis, quad colored rims (see below for details). The name of the truck, NIGHT RIDER, in all capital letters centered on the sides of the truck in the VTKS Dura 3D font, which can be found here: http://www.1001freefonts.com/vtks_dura_3d.font colored purple. The Dodge lettering on the tailgate in the Dodge font, centered, with "Hemi Powered" underneath it also in the Dodge font. The name of the driver, Xander Draxx, in purple colored Dark Crystal font, which can be found here: http://www.1001freefonts.com/dark_crystal.font located under the side windows on each door. On the left-hand side of the truck (driver's side), a bunch of sexy looking angels with blue and white smoke. With the phrase "Heaven Sent" in silver Abaddon font, which can be found here: http://www.1001freefonts.com/abaddon.font located above the rear wheel arch. On the right-hand side of the truck, a bunch of nasty looking demons and skulls. With the phrase "Hell Bound" in red Metal Macabre font, which can be found here: http://www.1001freefonts.com/metal_macabre.font located above the rear wheel arch. I would also like this logo http://imgur.com/499ZFwj to go on the hood, centered, with an angel on the left side of the hood and a demon on the right side. Also, the Monster Jam and USHRA logos on the very back of the rear quarter panels, one above the other. Other Details: I think the easiest way to make this truck would be to take the Goblin truck, found here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/1663-goblin/ and just remove the body and rims and the flags, as well as the Goblin face on the bottom of the chassis, nice touch by the way, and also remove the driver from the seat. Then replace the body and rims with the body and rims from the Wildstyle truck, found here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/1622-wildstyle/ and then just repaint the body(keeping the grille, headlights and taillights) and rims. For the rims, the edge should be the metallic blue from Razin Kane, the inside should be a silverish grey like on Grave Digger, the mounting hub on the inside should be black, and the pyramid/spike things around the mounting hub should be purple, and all the bolts should be white. Also, all the lettering on the cut Ukraine tires should be painted white. The exhaust pipes should also be repainted to be the same silverish grey color as the insides of the rims. I'd also like it to use the same engine sounds as the 2014 Bigfoot 19 Blue truck, found here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/1517-2014-bigfoot-19-blue/ which I believe is the Collectors V2 Bigfoot edition from Beau4x4's sound pack found here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/1019-beau4x4s-soundpack/ however, I'm not sure if that is the same set. Also with the backup alarm sound, since the Bigfoot truck doesn't seem to use it. Also, make sure to keep the engine, transmission, and transfer case from the Goblin truck, whatever it is that makes the truck shift so quickly and smoothly. Lastly, I'd also like the wing from the rear of the cab with the lights from the Mr. Twister IV truck, found here: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/1693-mr-twister-iv/ painted purple, and the spoiler from the Hot Wheels truck in the V4 pack painted black. Here's some links to pictures for the angels and demons stuff. Also, big props to all the creators of all the content that I linked to. Fantastic work, guys.
  7. I got the wheel rotation down. That's not an issue anymore. It's the gas and brake pedals I need to get straightened out now. They do somewhat work, so I don't think there's anything wrong with them being plugged in properly. I think it's the setting in the config file that's causing them to function strangely. It seems like both gas and brake pedals effect the accelleration of the truck. If I hold the brake pedal down, it does nothing really. However, if I hold the brake and the gas pedals, the truck will slowly accellerate. But then if I let off the brake and keep holding the gas, the truck accellerates to top speed. But the brake pedal won't accually make the truck slow down at all. Looking in the config file, each pedal is mapped differently. I believe it's referred to as JoystickAxis 0 1 and 0 2, where 0 1 is the gas pedal, and 0 2 is the brake pedal. Both are set with REVERSE+DEADZONE=0.5. I got the Logitech Profiler but it doesn't seem to recognize the wheel even when it's plugged in. I had the wheel all plugged in and it even did the thing it does when it's started up where it'll turn the wheel all the way in both directions and then back to center, but the Profiler wouldn't recognize that it was there. I'm also experiencing a problem where all of the red buttons on each side of the wheel do the same functions even though I have them mapped for different functions. I don't know what's causing that either.
  8. Does anyone know the proper gas and brake pedal settings?
  9. Actually, nevermind that. I can't get the gas and brake pedals to work right.
  10. What would the correct force feedback number be for 180 degree steering? That is, 90 degrees in either direction.
  11. This track is awesome. The only complaint I have is the sets of cars look really... fake, I guess. But that's just a nitpick. I would love to actually race someone on this track. I'd probably lose, but it would still be fun.
  12. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about this. But I'm looking for someone with knowledge about the Logitech G27 wheel/pedals/shifter set. I want to make a custom keymap just for monster trucks and none of the G27 keymaps I've seen are right. Maybe if someone is already running the keymap I'm going to describe, or something close, maybe they could share it with me and we could make it work? I'm gonna skip the obvious stuff like front steering, gas, and brakes. I'd like to have the padal shifters be the rear steering controls, with the left padal being turning the rear wheels to the right which would make the truck turn to the left, and the opposite on the right padal. Then I'd like to have up and down shifting be the middle buttons on the steering wheel, up on the right button and down on the left button. I'd like to have ignition on the left red button on the shifter and then starter would be the right red button. Reset/Repair I would like on the top black button on the shifter. And if it's even possible, it would be awesome to have shortcuts to reverse gear and second gear mapped to the red buttons on the steering wheel, let's say the top buttons, left for reverse and right for second. I think that's all I'd really need. The only other thing would be the proper setting for the force feedback to get true 900 degree turning out of it. If anyone could help with this, I'd really appreciate it.
