I really hope im not jinxing myself right now. I dont have much luck sticking with or finishing my more ambitious projects but I've been working on this for a few weeks. Heres a peek at (hopefully) 2022's Spinmaster Showdown.
Thanks to the success of the original two Showdowns we've had a bit of a venue upgrade, as well as a major track prop budget. Got some new sponsors that plan to hop on as well. exciting. Maybe another announcement closer to Christmas time

How do i fix the white bubble around the tires again? i added tracks/trans, double checked mesh/materials/png's, and added png's to managed materials but i still have the white bubbles

These are my 2 favorites for time trials and speed practice. I've spent literally weeks at a time going through them with every truck just trying to beat my own times. The bottom one may not be the most realistic but it has a little bit of everything and can really help you get the hang of driving in the game.
ALSO HUGE SIDE NOTE: I have no idea if these work for the .4 version. I ran the .38 version of the game up until this month so...give em a shot. If they dont work, any track is good practice if you just try to beat your own time over and over. Have events with yourself. Take one truck, run a lap, get another, run the other side, see who won, and continue the bracket till you have a winner. It comes with practice but you'll pick it up I promise.
For reference my best time on the bottom track is 1:34.75

Once you have the controls it's kinda on you. You cant really teach someone how to virtually race well. It's all just practice and and trial and error. Plus most trucks handle different from eachother so what you learn in one truck might not apply to the next just due to the way it handles. Just pick a track (I'll link my favorite), get your phones stopwatch and practice running laps over and over until you get the hang of it and get decent times.

Hey guys! I have this really cool track idea/model that im happy to pass off to anyone willing to take it but keep some key elements!
Some of you may remember this:
Well if you're considering it, heres some stuff to know before PM-ing about it:
ITS MODELED ON 2.49b. I hadnt upgraded yet.
THIS IS A DIGGER THEMED TRACK! EVERYTHING NEEDS....DIGGER ESSENCE APPLIED.
Cars are white because its just the boxes not the actual cars. They all have a transparent image applied.
Racing would start in the graves and the trucks would rise from the graves and go basically St. Louis (i believe) style down, around and over the racing ramps on the sides of the mountain to finish.
Freestyle would remove the graves and tombstones leaving flat ground.
Im very attatched to the mountain jump set as well as the quintouple, G-ma themed backflip CONTAINER and the bus stack with grim. everything else can be remade or replaced.
Everything here is most likely modeled poorly compared to someone like maxdman or chris b so dont expect to be working with a polished model. its very rough around the edges.
I hope you keep the house on the hill being the entrance to the track but if you want to replace it and make a better mansion please do.
The pad at the back of the track is GOD AWFUL. PLEASE GET RID OF IT.
As to why Im even giving it up if im so particular about it, i just dont have the drive to do it. working with blender is one of the most frustrating things ive done and im over it. Also i no longer have Photoshop.
Lastly i think I need to step back and just play this game passively for a while. Not that ive made any great contributions here but my content seems to frustrate more people than it helps and Im just tired of that.
So yea if you want a fun project with a basic outline to test your imagination and push your Track designing skills, let me know!

P3ForLife's Leafer Madness!! In a zig zag race course with everything from straight line racing to rock bouncing to "mud" bogging! A custom track designed with the unpredictability of a leaf spring truck in mind in order to give drivers close calls, close finishes, and intense rounds! In this event, one bad bounce and you can go from hole shot leader to praying to be the fastest loser, to the win, all in just about a minute!
No but seriously this is the first track I've ever been able to get in game with nothing going wrong. I made it just for fun to practice exporting and getting stuff in game but I like it

Another small update! I just need a few things now, I have to find a good texture for the rocks on the fountain, I need to remap the testmobile cars so I can paint them accurately for the race lanes, and I need to repaint the jump closest to the stage. But in order to do that I need a really good pic of the ramp face. Oh I also need a boat lol

So just a lil update one wf8. Progress is slow but it's coming along. The double, fountain, tanker/tires and most of the center jump are finished in the paint booth. I dont really like how the face looks but I have nothing but time. The racing lanes are probably my next venture.

Also started a Grave digger themed track...I want to do a series of tracks themed around certain trucks but we'll see how time treats the idea. No floor yet cuz I'm building a stadium around the track.
Yes I painted early..i get really excited when starting new things lol and yes that center jump is going to stay massive, it's supposed to represent the ghost/hill on the side of the truck

Two things I noticed. When you have two cars stacked on top of one another, crush down the roof of the car on the bottom of the stack since it can't/won't support the car on top in real life. Plus I would recommend using a bit of variety of your crush car vehicles so it doesn't look like each car is a carbon copy of it. Looking good so far!
It's kinda hard to tell in these pics but I did crush them some but I'll bring them down some more and that's was the goal with variety but for now I mainly used the one. Again it's hard to tell from my angles but I used a different car in the racing lanes. But to get jump scale and general positioning and size I just copied one car over the whole track. Thanks for the tips tho wont go to waste!

Before you look or tear into me and assault my dreams let me address a couple possible concerns lol:
No the jumps AND their paints are not finished or final. The paints are place holders for these screenshots only and for me to get an idea of how it's going
The stadium will be as close to accurate as I can personally get it so dont worry about the stadium having incorrect or missing textures etc.
Just wanted to show that someone IS attempting to make a better WF 8. Hope you like it so far

So I'm revisiting an oooollldddddddd track idea I had in like 2015/16. It's not finished yet but... Old idea, new look, new name: SPINMASTER SHOWDOWN! A 2 level track where you start above (wf20 inspiration) drop down the track and hit a hard hair-pin. Next challenge is a stoppie, to the line, moonwalk back onto the jump and take off to the next hair-pin. From there you go nice long straight away, then, over a small hill into a j-hook (vegas inspiration) down an insane drop right into a ramp. With enough speed, you hope to either land on or clear the bus stacks. Then top speed into another j-hook in a heated last stand to the finish line over the double! And this is just racing!!
(Yes I put a moonwalk challenge in a race, I wanted another, more....challenging....aspect to add to the racing)

A lot of people leaving crap reviews are kids..they only care about getting content not the effort given to create projects, customs, anything. They dont have an appreciation for the content just demands for more. It doesnt pay to create a thread about it cuz either they're never even gunna read it or, if they do, they dont care or realize the negativity and toxicity they're spewing and creating in the community.
One day theyll grow up but until then it really doesn't pay to give them a thread to read
