(Tailgate Script due to light blocking some of the words, blocked words will be bracketed) :

In 1998, Bruce and Jami Haney purchased the "Excaliber Monster Truck" from Hall of Famer Charlie Pauken. It was then that Bruce and Jami came up with the new name "Bad News Travels Fast." Little did they know that they were starting a legacy. In 2003, Bruce reached out to premier chassis builder and also Hall of Famer Dan Patrick to build him a brand new truck. This is still the chassis that is being ran today. After a very successful 13 year tenure, The Haney's decided it was time for a career change. In October of 2011, The Derrow family from Elkton, OA purchased the truck and have owned [the truck] ever since.

In 20 years, the Bad News Travels Fast trucks have [been all] over the United States and performed in front of millions of fans. The Bad News Racing Team has vowed to keep this legacy going and would like to thank all of their fans and sponsors for 20 years of support in the monster truck industry!

  3. LIke P3 said, getting gud at racing is more of a you thing. You just need to practice on the tracks that you believe are good tracks for your racing technique. I personally like the RORMJL WF III Track (mostly because I competed in that wf lmao), but the racing takes a-lot of time and technique, its orlando wf style, but you need to really work on using your rear steer and just turning/drifting at the right exact moment, i'll link it here, but only do it if you are up for a challenge. Another track that I personally like is Birmingham 2018. It's a small, nice arena track with really good short chicago style. If you want, I can help you with your racing. Just HMU on Discord (if you have it): Chaos2TheMax#8628.

Once again like P3 said, racing is more of a you thing. It's great to be a good racer.

Hi, I'm fairly new to playing RoR (like two days) and I already have circuits and trucks; however, I noticed that when playing it is very difficult to control the truck. First, because when you want to turn you have to make a very wide turn because the truck can't make short turns, hence I can't control where to go. Also, the way the truck moves its difficult and I could say "slow" so my direction is not certain, plus it is very difficult to jump and control the truck at landing. I basically want to know how to make it easier to drive a truck (and I have tried other cars maybe like 2 times so I don't know much but they are kind of difficult too), and how to play the most simple way (I play in laptop). Thank you.

Hi, thanks for joining the Sim-Monsters community,

I have been in this community for awhile now and will be happy to help you, I will answer your question in four parts (first part being about how you are making wide turns, second part being the way the truck moves, third part being rebound control, and the fourth part being how to play the most simple way)

    1. For starters, if you don't know already, you can toggle rear steer by clicking and holding the f1 and f2 buttons so that you can make sharper and tighter turns. I recommend using a controller or wheel, as you can handle the truck easier. You can also map buttons on your keyboard, controller, or wheel so its easier to use, just open the config file with notepad (found in Rigs Of Rods/config) and go to Command 1 and Command 2, those two commands are your rear steer buttons. For me (I use a logitech g27 wheel), I replace the default mapping with the following:

JoyStickButton (replacing the "Keyboard" term for both commands 1 and 2) and replacing the button mappings with 0 7 and 0 6 (0 7 going for command 1 and 0 6 going for command 2)

(When connecting any type of controller, the game automatically maps the default buttons to the main config, however you can edit the mappings to your liking)

    2. Each truck on this site has its own movement. Most of the older trucks in the older versions of ror (0.37, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8) were made differently, so they might move a-lot different than a truck that was made this year, just keep in mind that one truck might move different than another.

    3. Rebound control is just a thing that you have to practice at, whether you use keyboard, controller, or wheel. While most cases involve the way the truck was made (suspension might be stiffer/softer than certain trucks), the case is mostly that you need to practice controlling the truck after rebounding from airtime.

    4. A-lot of users here will give you numerous answers for the best and simplest way to play. But in my opinion, the easiest and simplest way to play has to be found out by you, test all the ways that you can play the game and pick the one that feels most comfortable to you (i stick with my wheel to help with my overall performance in leagues).

Hopefully I answered some (or all) of your questions, once again we welcome you to the Sim-Monsters community, hope you have a good night!

    Sincerely,

    Chaos2TheMax
