Can't add sponsor plates to my chassis

Doomed User

Question

I couldn't find my old question to get some help, so I figured I'd just make a new one.

This is probably a stupid question, so please bare with me.

I want to make my trucks more realistic and add sponsor plates to them. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to do so.

I had some ideas but I'm not sure if they would work.

  1. Adding the panels in Blender and texturing them
  2. Having them as props in the truck file
  3. Having them as props in blender

Any help?

You apply the texture in blender. Texture must be a transparent (or semi transparent) background. After export you will need to change the correct file names in the material files for the chassis(assuming you have them joined to it).

Check the tutorial section, it outlines most of this.

I saw how to make it transparent in the tutorials, but actually adding the plates to the chassis is my problem.

I can apply textures in blender no problem, but I can't apply the plate's texture if there is no plate. I tried making the plate and it was a colossal failure.

Sorry if I'm acting ungodly dumb right now, I am just really bad at Blender.
