Rear Steer Issue

I recently re-downloaded Rigs of Rods 0.37 for my Windows 10 laptop that I got for Christmas. However, whenever I hold on to F2 while turning, the brightness of my screen is lowered instead of the rear steer activating, and when I hold on to F1 while turning, nothing happens. What can I do to fix this issue?

Press FN and the rear steer key. I had the same problem. Or, if you want it changed permanently, go into the Input (open with Notepad), and change COMMANDS_1 and COMMANDS_2 to another key. I used Q and E but had to swap some controls around.

OK, so after finding the input and changing the rear steer to Q and E like you did (I felt that would be the easiest way), the things that normally happen when you press Q and E occur whenever I hold down either button. Which commands do I have to change to resolve this issue?

I said you'd have to flip around the commands. When you do stuff like that, you have to change the old command as well. I used Q and E for rear steer and changed what it was before to F1 and F2.

you can go into your actual computer settings and make it so you hold fn to use command keys like brightness so it doesn't do that in game but if you wanna change brightness or volume you have to hold fn while you do it
