The Long Game Season 2: Event 9 - Sunday, July 26th, 2020 - Minneapolis, MN

Recommended Posts

As Season 2 of The Long Game begins to wrap up, we head back to the United States into Minneapolis, Minnesota's freshly-resurrected Metrodome, which has an extensive history of monster trucking action. This Chicago-style course is tacky and quick, which will surely prove to be a challenge for TLG's many competitors. Last weekend in Arnhem was a spectacular yet controversial event for those competing. Trevor Amos managed to pick up an extremely close victory against first-time finalist Tyler May, and continues to dominate in points. Oval-style tracks are his specialty, but his tendency to red-light has been his downfall. Will Trevor be able to start another winning streak heading to Vegas? In Arnhem, freestyle was off the wall, but Trevor Michalesko and Vincent Akard managed to stand above the rest and walk out with a dual freestyle win. Will they be able to replicate their success in Minny, or will this larger-than-life freestyle track benefit another driver's skill-set instead? Will TLG ever have pro stadium trucks at all? All questions will be answered this Sunday!

You need to have successfully signed up for The Long Game and be a part of our Discord server in order to qualify or compete in this event.

Be sure to look over our Official Season 2 Rulebook before competing in a TLG event

Qualifying starts at 5PM EST on Thursday July 23rd, 2020 on our Discord server and ends on Saturday at the same time.
Message server-owner Danny Werewolf to schedule a qualifying pass.

This track features a timed checkpoint race on each racing lane, so we will not be timing your passes manually.
Much like the All-Star challenge, we will be accepting screenshots of your qualifying times as you perform them online with an official watching.

Here are instructions on how to qualify once you are scheduled to make your passes.

Press the ~ key to open the console, or drag your cursor over the in-game menu and go to Tools -> Show Console.
Press the PrtScn/Print Screen key near the top of your keyboard to take a screenshot.
Screenshots are found in your Documents\My Games\Rigs of Rods\screenshots folder.
Send the screenshots for both of your times to the official who saw your passes in each lane.

During your passes, you cannot perform a reverse-entry turn. This applies to all turns and will be counted as a 5 second penalty.
The track has tackier grip settings than previous tracks from this season, so it will be difficult to do so regardless.

Qualifying times will be posted in this spreadsheet, with the top 16 making their way into the event.
