JJfan48 Posted June 13, 2013 Share Posted June 13, 2013 NASCAR Nationwide & Sprint Cup driver Jason Leffler was racing Sprint Cars in Bridgeport NJ for the "Night of Wings" when his car had a malfunction and flipped across the front stretch coming out of turn 4 of qualifying The race was stopped immediately and fans prayed waiting for news as he was airlifted to the hospital It was at 9:02pm EST that newly Sprint Cup driver Jason Leffler had died from injuries from the wreck. The race was canceled NJ State Police say the cause of the wreck was a malfunction, further investigation continues I have had the privilage to see him race once, in the Unsponsored #62 for World of Outlaws at my home track Tulare Thunderbowl, he was a great racer and Nationwide series winner Rest in peace Jason September 16th, 1975 - June 12th, 2013 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
