Ingame Lag

So I have been experiencing very bad lag ingame for quite a long time now. I have good connection so I know that's not the reason but I am running a laptop that is not meant for gaming. So I need some help, should I get more RAM or update my graphics card etc...just wanna see what you guys would recommend.

well what is your current spec? if you have a piss poor processor there is not much of a point for a graphics card

I have a terrible graphics card but I have an amazing processor. So because of my processor, i'm able to run Rigs of Rods on max, so i'd say the processor is a big part of it.

I have a AMD Turion 2 P540 dual-core processor 2.40 GHz.

theres your problem. 2.6 GHz or lower AMD's lag the heck out of you ingame. I switched it for a 3.0 GHz Intel core 2

well don't forget changing a graphics card on a laptop is very expensive, compared to a desktop.

A lot of laptops you can't even change or add a graphics card. Desktops are cheaper for PC gaming. A laptop that can run games can cost a lot of money.
