  1. Recently I've been thinking about starting to make tracks in blender. It looks super fun and I want to try to make a commitment to it. My only issue is that I'm not sure if its as fun or easy as I thought and I don't know where to start. Yes, I know theres a track making tutorial in the tutorial section but I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what its like to start out making tracks and what kind of work you guys put into it and such, etc. Also I want to know what you guys use to make tracks, what version of the program, and if its free or not. Thank you for your patience in reading this
  2. Hotwheels looks sick! Idk if that's chrome or grey but if its grey it should be either chrome or black
  3. 1. find the .truck file you want to put BKTs on in the smv4 zip or standalone zip (depending on what youre putting the tires on) 2. open the .truck file using the notepad application 3. scroll all the way down where it has parts saying <insert part name here>.mesh 4. the one part you should look for is a section that says this: flexbodies ;120,128,119, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, Flag.mesh ;forset 119-126 67,73,154, 0.5, 0, 0, 0, 180, 0, tirename.mesh forset 67, 73, 131-154 42,48,182, 0.5, 0, 0, 0, 180, 0, tirename.mesh forset 42, 48, 179-202 62,72,159, 0.5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, tirename.mesh forset 62, 72, 155-178 37,47,205, 0.5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, tirename.mesh forset 37, 47, 203-226 5. Replace the text (LABELED IN RED ABOVE) with a BKT mesh name u already have (you will have to find this yourself, some mesh names include stuff such as BKT.mesh, BKT15.mesh, BKT2.mesh, and so on.) 6. save the .truck file and load the game up
  4. (I had no idea which section to put this in and nor did I really know what to call it) Dear Community, As a member who joined this site around the time of its birth and has managed to stay active on it up until this day, I just wanted to tell you all how amazing it is to see this site still alive today. I don't mean that in a mean way whatsoever, but just being able to witness all of its ups, (V4 release, the first ever 'breakable' trucks, etc.) and downs, (the V5 incident, well known members and friends leaving the site, etc.) makes me so proud of you all to still be able to see such a community alive today. I know I've posted something like this forever ago but things have changed drastically and I feel like this community as a whole needs to understand how far they have come. Although I have never ever done a league or made any projects of any detail or significance or have had any long time friends or friends at all on this site, I've always remained active and its amazing to see how this site went from just having just a V1 truck pack and a interpretation of World Finals 9 in the downloads section, and a forum littered with 10 year olds begging for tracks and trucks, all the way to a site that has made some of the most realistic trucks and tracks I've seen, a community that has evolved, matured, and bonded(Along with making multiple organized leagues with custom tracks and trucks). I know everyone feels like this site is dying (and I seen its had that mentality since 2015), moderators and admins alike should be proud of how far they've come and that they have managed to (with the help of others in the community) keep this site alive. I feel like we as a community are slowly coming back out of the "this site is dying" mentality and I feel that we will eventually break through. This site has gone through several evolutions and I feel like we will go through another very soon. I'm sorry for those who think that this is just some spam or something, this has been in my head a lot recently after reading old topics and browsing the site. Now I know this is a long thing for me to say but seriously the fact that this site is still alive and active even after some of its roughest times goes to show how strong all of your passion for 3D design and game modding really is. It's so awesome to see people still interact and enjoy this game that's been YEARS in the works and how everyone loves (and loved) making content for us all. Now I just want to individually recognize groups for their contribution because they damn well deserve it. To all the past and present moderators and admins: Thank you so much for making this site what it is. although your position/duty on this website isn't the most fun at times, you are the main reason why the site is still living. Thank you To all the league organizers, fun runners, etc.: Although I've never been in a league or proper fun run, thank you for making people enjoy the competitiveness of the game and enjoy the game and put more people into the interest of this game. To all the active members, long timers, legends of the site, etc.: Thank you for making the site fun to talk on, thank you for keeping it active and alive along with the moderators and admins. To the content creators: Thank you for sharing your talent and passion and making the content what it is today. We as a community have come a long way. It may have not been the smoothest sailing at all times, but its been so much fun to ride the waves that we've gotten onto. Thank you all, Warwizard/Ryan
  5. Dude they look freaking awesome. Can't wait to be able to drive them.
  6. I listened to that album before and I've heard their other stuff. I've only liked Living For The Weekend & Machines. I don't know why, but either its just not enough for me and their sound really just doesn't catch my full interest. Although Living For The Weekend is sick and Machines is really nice and has a type of energy I wish they put in their work more often. I love heavy, energetic, weird sound designs. This is one of the many I like. Digitist's sound fits his name pretty well so youll get the idea when u take a listen:
  7. It doesn't work. It says I'm missing MAXDGrey4linkbottomV5.mesh
  8. What version are you using? And how exactly did you download it because I've had a similar issue before
  9. Nope, I know all the controls and everything; been playing this game since 2011. But ive never had this issue
  10. No I know those controls. and the HUD is there, like, you can see it. It just doesn't start or show that I'm pressing x or anything. its frozen
  11. Hi its me again and I'm so sorry for posting so many topics about my issue but I don't know how to fix this and I looked everywhere to find ways to fix it and I cant find anything. So basically, I can enter a truck, steering works and everything, but I cant start the truck, turn on ignition, parking brake, or anything HUD related basically. The hud doesn't show any response to those keys at all and I'm so confused and I need a way to fix this (I'm using both 37 and 38 but this issue is on 38.19)
  12. No, just a keyboard. Although if you found a way to fix your issue please tell me
  13. Ok so everytime I spawn a truck in .38, I can get in it and it shows up on the track, but I can't get any of the control to work! It steers and that's it. and the HUD is somewhat frozen. PLEASE HELP
  14. Yeah that shows up but its just that. Theres no packs, vehicles, or terrains folders within it
  15. Thank you! But how do I add the trucks and tracks? theres no folder for such in there.
  16. Hi! Here again. So, I really want to use the breakable trucks for download on this site but I cant find .38.67 anywhere! It sucks. And all the versions of tried other than 37.126 get error 6 and cant find a Config file. Someone please help!
  17. Hey I cant show it as of right now, but I made a cool looking Monster Energy paint. But I have one issue: I don't know how to isolate it. What I did was I opened up the .png of the 2015 Monster Energy and basically messed with the paint and made it look cool. Since I didn't rename the png or anything, it showed up on the truck in game. But I cant get the paint to show up on the truck when I rename the truck file and .png file and I need serious help
  18. I've been watching the old monster jam world finals stuff (So far I've watched 2-11) and out of all the old trucks I saw, it made me miss Safe Auto Minimizer, Sobe/Team Suzuki, and Donkey Kong. It sucks because Frank Krmel drove so many trucks as a backup driver and when he finally drove Donkey Kong it gave him character for once.
  19. Id love an update one the team Suzuki truck. I loved the paint on it too. You never saw such a nice yellow paint during the time that truck competed.
  20. I agree with that. One of my favorite paints was the huge double bus stack they had in World Finals 8 (Irishbulldog422 was talking about WF9, but that WF is one of my favorites of all time), where there was lighting on one side, a desert with cacti and all this cool stuff, and then more paint on the down ramp.
  21. (hopefully this thread is interesting enough to have some good conversations) So I've been watching both old and new monster jam freestyles and events and I came to the realization of how awesome some tracks are and how interesting they can get. Like, despite being an absolute truck eater, I loved World Finals 5. I'm just going to make this thread in honor of the wacky weather that has made tracks interesting (Miami 2012, World Finals 6, El Paso's weird sand-like tracks, etc.), this is gonna be for honoring the tracks that the USHRA/FELD has made and the weirdest things that have happened to tracks, obstacles, basically anything track related. So have fun.
  22. Not that I don't like your work or anything, but I hate how obnoxiously huge Monster Patrol's spoiler is in real life.
