NAMT ride coming together. I've always thought this was one of the most unrecognized yet coolest looking trucks from the 80s, so why not revamp it to something today? Really strayed away from the original paint, but the feel is still there. I'll be posting some updates as it comes along, as I plan on modeling some new parts for this truck. It's on a Straight Up Racing chassis too cuz why not. #BillPayne4Prez #WhyWontDallasJustFinishCrashTestDummyJeez #ImStealingHisChassisShhhhhh

My only suggestion for this would be to actually make a legit racerback for the truck or just not have those little pieces with the monster logo on them on there at all. Since there's no piece that goes across the top of the roof to connect those pieces, they just look like extra doodads that were added on just to be added; and tbh they don't really do anything for the looks of the truck imo. Other than that, I love how this thing looks; really got a sweet old school vibe going on with it so far.

  3. Finally, after nearly 6 years of designing, building, scrapping, and rebuilding my dream ride is just about ready to be unleashed upon Sim Monsters. There are so many people I need to thank who have helped me along the way with this thing, and I will name them all when I upload the truck. I have a few more minor tweaks that need to be made before I send it off for NAMT tech inspection, and once it passes that test it will be released to the public.

Huge thank you goes out to @iZonarYT for making the vid and showing off my baby in all it's glory.

Going to be completely honest, if you guys weren't such clowns half the time maybe you'd know to stay out of the god damn servers when people are in the middle of the runs. This has happened multiple times throughout the season. When you fully load in a truck you already know and are well aware that there is something going on in the server if you are not to be in there. The users in the server along with the chat will absolutely be able to see what is going on well before you even try to spawn a vehicle which means that every time this has happened has been completely intentional and should be penalized in all future leagues. It happened in the East tour and the West tour more than once which is more than it should ever occur.

I've gotten the pleasure (or torture if you want to be accurate) of seeing how both tours behave and some of the things I've seen go on in one and not the other are pretty ridiculous and I and others I've talked to have noticed that it takes away from the events, causes problems for everyone and is a direct cause of events having delays or going longer than needed outside of normal issues that arise. You're all lucky this is not my league or I would have started docking points the first time it happened as there is no excuse for it to occur. If you can't pay attention to know what's going on then you shouldn't be running in a league to start with.

Gotta agree with Ryan on this, and I want it to be known that on the east tour next year there will be penalties for joining game while someone is in the middle of a race or freestyle. It happened 3 to 4 (and possibly more) times which is 3 to 4 too many, and while I don't mind people joking around in chat if it starts to disrupt the event (officials not being able to hear each other among other things) it's a problem. We don't wanna have to use the private officials chat, we wanna stay in the main chat with everybody but if it keeps getting too out of hand we will; and if you guys miss a race or fs cause you can't hear or see the notification in chat, it won't be our fault. This season was super fun on the overall, but sometimes the little things can put a hinder on stuff; as the old saying goes, help us help you and things will be gucci.

  5. While the folks in Ocala, FL might be used to what monster trucks are capable of, I highly doubt they've ever seen the level of action they witnessed last night. The finale of the SMRA East Tour was something to behold for sure, as all of the competitors put it on the line to finish out the season strong; but it almost didn't happen. Originally we were supposed to run at Bubba Motorsports Park and everyone was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately some last minute issue forced what we thought would be the cancellation of the event. But just as in Gaithersburg the locals here in Ocala pulled together and helped us out, and they did so in a huge way by getting us in contact with the folks at the Paradise Grove Fairgrounds who were more than willing to helps us put on the event; but they even went a step further. After hearing that this event would be the finale for the East Tour, they suggested that we go for the gusto and put together a massive track using a bunch of old junk they had lying around from years of demo derbies; and to put the cherry on top of the sundae, they pulled their old office trailer out onto the track and told us to do what we wanted with it. We can't thank thank them enough for how they welcomed us in with open arms and gave us a hand with every phase of the event. At the end of the night, @JonnyZimmer2 took home the double down (only the second of the season for the East Tour) showing once again why he's one of the top rising stars here on Sim-Monsters.

We're currently going through and double checking the points standings to ensure everything is correct, once that is done we'll post the finals standings and who our champions are. But until then, we wanna thank everyone who attended one of our events, whether it was as a fan of competitor; all of you helped make this half of SMRA Season 4 a huge success. The next time we'll see you will be at the 4th annual SMRA World Finals, which should be an absolute blast!

  7. For the short time that Galot Motorsports park has been welcoming monster trucks, they've quickly become a custom to having some of the wildest action that can be found anywhere in the country and SMRA helped continue that expectation. Congrats go out to @Wambo for taking the racing win (his second win in as many weeks) and to @RobbieMilburn and @JonnyZimmer2 as they tied for the freestyle win with 2 equally amazing runs, both of which included landing the Lee O'Donnell front flip. Various drivers have been trying all year to pull this move off, but these 2 are the first to succeed at it. Now while Zimmer did land it first (the first successful attempt in SMRA sanctioned competition too btw) I highly doubt anyone will ever land it cleaner than Milburn did, but no matter what it was amazing to watch and I'm thankful I get to see guys like these push the limits week in and week out. Next week we're headed south to the sunshine state to battle it out at Bubba Motorsports Park in Ocala, Florida, but it will also be the regular season finale for the East Tour and by the end of the night we'll know which 12 drivers made the cut to compete in the 4th annual SMRA World Finals. It all comes down to this, points, money, and most importantly bragging rights will be on the line. There's no more playing around, it's checkers or wreckers time as a spot in SMRA's grandest stage is on the line!
