Just to get everyone all excited, here is a look at the Season 1 Schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag0gVTXZgUr6dGJ2TjF5UGpVWHJuQ2hvY1VRcW81RVE&usp=drive_web#gid=2 Expect more to come soon!
  2. Well, it is almost that time to get started with the first season of Rigs Of Rods: Monster Outlaws! With this league being heavily based on how you do as an individual, it is highly encouraged that you sign up in your personal custom, or a custom that you have permission to use. Although, if you do not have a custom to run, you are permitted to run a replica truck. We will be getting under way with Pre-Season soon, so stay tuned for more information. Please sign up using this format. 3. As long as you put it in the right section of the forums (which would be Rigs Of Rods>Monster Trucks and you title it correctly) then absolutely.
  4. Why not just make a public thread so everyone has the option to use your ideas instead of isolating them to one person?
  5. Dammit, looks like I am actually going to be missing both days. Got called into work for tonight and tomorrow. Blacksmith is opened up.
  6. Well, after being up late(technically early) with the SMRA World Finals, I am kind of burnt out. No fun run, from me at least, today guys. Sorry about that. I am going to take this day to relax and enjoy some time at a car show later.
  7. The World Finals was an absolute blast. I apologize for some of the hiccups that we had, but other than that, we tried to run the event as smoothly as we could. Congratulations to my teammate Joshua Micks for taking the Freestyle win and the biggest win of his career so far! I would like to thank Dan for putting on this awesome league, it was just so much fun, I can't wait for more. I would like to thank Dig and Chadwick for allowing me to join them up in the booth. Commentating the action as it happened was an absolute blast. Thank you Devin and Tharindu for helping out despite kind of being thrown into it last minute, sorry about that, but you two really helped us out more than you probably think you did. Thank you Kozak for being the voice of reason in some situations. Big thanks to Julio for being the DJ which I forgot to mention on the stream. Thank you to anyone else that helped throughout the season; Mason, Devin, Danny, Chadwick, Jon, DanDon, Dig, Kozak, and anyone I may have missed. Thank you all for a great time, without the help and support from the competitors who I am glad to call my friends, we would not have been able to put on the shows that we did. Next season can only get better, and I cannot wait to see where it takes off from here.
  8. I am not usually a FORD fan, but when it comes to Bigfoot, I can make an exception( too bad this one is a Chevy ). Big Blue is ready to represent in SSRS next week!

  11. Working Class is all buttoned up for the SMRA World Finals.
  12. It would most likely happen sometime during the day, probably ending before 4 P.M. EST.
  13. Just curious to see if anyone would be able to attend a Fun Run on Monday if I were to hold one?
  14. If someone on The List is challenged, they have 1 week after the challenge is initiated to respond to it or the challenger will automatically move up and take their position and the person who previously held that spot would drop down 1 spot. If the challenger wins the race, then he has successfully defended his spot and both drivers will remain where they were before the race took place. The order that the races take place will depend on the order in which the challenges were initiated. In the situation you proposed, if Jim initiated the challenge to Jerry before Timmy initiated the challenge to Jim, then the race between Jim and Jerry would take place first. If Jim wins against Jerry, then Jim would assume his rank on the list and Jerry would drop down a spot. This means that Timmy would now race Jerry for the #5 spot. In theory, the person who is in the #1 position could drop down to #10 in one night. Anyone can lose/gain any number of spots in one night.
  15. Barcelona should be making an appearance soon.
  16. Rigs of Rods: Monster Outlaws The League Welcome to Rigs of Rods: Monster Outlaws! Before we begin, no - this is not the typical league that everyone has become accustomed to. This league will feature an all new format, which will be explained in detail throughout this document, and will hopefully bring a new perspective and a fresh concept for competition in the Rigs of Rods monster truck world! The format we will be using is derived from the show on The Discovery Channel network, Street Outlaws. The List “The List” would consist of the Top 10 drivers of the Sim-Monsters community. At the beginning of the season, a list will be created based on the finishing positions - points wise - of competitors after a 4 week racing only event set. The top 10 will be compiled for the first event of the season. For the drivers on The List, they have the ability to gain or lose positioning. Drivers have the ability to challenge one another to try and make their way up The List, but, only a driver directly below another can challenge them for a race. For example, Jim is ranked as number 6 on the list, and wants to try and take Jerry’s number 5 spot. Jim has the ability to call out Jerry for his spot, and Jerry has 1 week to either accept this challenge or lose his spot. Jim is not able to challenge anyone else, only Jerry since he is directly above him ranking wise. Now, just because someone isn’t ranked on The List, doesn’t mean that they cannot have a chance at being apart of it. Whoever lies at the number 10 spot on the list is considered the “gate keeper”. They “control” entrance to The List. Anyone who is not on The List can challenge the “gate keeper” for a shot at his number 10 spot. If the challenger wins this race, then they have gained access to The List, and have become the “gate keeper” until they either move up The List or are beaten by someone who would like to enter The List. The Race Each week, a designated track will be in place to be used for all challenge races of that particular week. There will be a set night that the races will be conducted, and The List will be adjusted accordingly. The “challenger” can challenge for the spot directly above him. If the person defending that spot accepts the race, that person holds the right to dictate how the race will be ran in some aspects. Stemming from the example used before, Jerry accepts Jim’s challenge. This particular week, the races are to be held at Nashville Super Speedway Season 2. Jerry has decided that he wants to conduct a 2 lap race, best 2 out of 3 to decide the winner. He has the ability to do this since he is the one defending his spot, so he is able to dictate what the “challenger” has to take away from him to obtain his spot. Of course, as stated previously, if the challenger were to win this challenge (being if Jim were to defeat Jerry), the challenger takes that person’s previous spot (Jim takes Jerry’s spot) and the person who was challenged will drop down a spot (Jerry takes Jim’s old spot). Betting At the beginning of the regular season, everyone will start out with $5,000. Drivers have the option to mutually agree on an amount that will be wagered for that specific spot. For example, Jim decides to wager $1,000 as a part of the challenge to take Jerry’s spot. Jerry agrees. Whoever wins the race will take that prize money. A running spreadsheet will be kept with all money won/lost throughout the season. The money aspect will not count towards a drivers rank on The List, it will only be in place for some added fun and form more of a connection between the league and the show Street Outlaws, and to possibly make these drivers run a little harder in the race since there’s a little incentive involved.
  17. That is an old old MTM2 remake. This track was originally created to be used in SPHRA when it ran back in MTM2.
  18. I think he is saying that they are the really old original V4 models.

  20. Working Class 2.0 has gotten a make-over and some upgrades in preparation for the Sim Monsters Racing Association World Finals! The team came up with a new wrap that blended the schemes from both the original Working Class and the new Working Class 2.0. Also, we put a completely new shock package on the truck. Doing some tuning on the truck as we speak so we can go make some more test passes on this difficult World Finals track.
  21. A little over 4 months ago, 7 year online monster truck competitor Dan Agosh announced Sim-Monsters Racing Association. The league was to be the first full-season budget league run on Sim-Monsters. Dan wanted to bring back the fun of Rigs Of Rods' predecessor, Monster Truck Madness 2, which brought back some old, familiar faces to the race track. SMRA was created to bring the most realistic, most fun league to be introduced to the Sim-Monsters community. Not only did he attract an American crowd, a handful of foreign racers even tried to make their mark throughout the season. The first major show of the season in Houston, Texas, was ran by none other than founder of SMRA, Dan Agosh. This show set the stage for the rest of the season. Every competitor wanted to start the season out with a win. Plenty of the major contenders from Sim-Monsters were in attendance, along with some new faces that would begin to make a name for themselves later in the season. With the star studded field, 2 regular faces ended up coming out on top. Mark Colineri in Working Class set the pace for the rest of his season taking a racing win over his teammate, Chris Hamilton. Freestyle saw Vaters Monster Motorsports crew member Daniel Donnelly driving Overkill Evolution rise above the field with one of the best freestyle performances of the season. Throughout the season, SMRA became synonymous with well-ran events, tough competition, exciting moments, and great camaraderie. One of the most exciting moments of the entire season came at Week 6 in St. Louis, Missouri. In the first race of the evening, Damian Bowers was pitted up against long time Monster Truck Madness 2 and Rigs Of Rods veteran Josh "Dig" Rhodes in his Wreckless Intent machine. The whole way around the track, both drivers were neck and neck. When they crossed the finish line, boy was it a moment to remember. After close review by the officials, the race was deemed an absolute tie, and both drivers would have to line up once more to decide a winner. In the end, Josh and his Wreckless Intent truck would be victorious, but he still had a long way to go through the bracket, this was only Round One! At the end of the regular season, two different points champions had been crowned. Mark Colineri and Working Class took the Overall, Overall Racing, Overall Freestyle, Throwdown Stadium Overall, Throwdown Stadium Racing, and Throwdown Stadium Freestyle points titles. Nick Kozak in Canadian Crippler would be crowned the Arena Chaos Overall, and Arena Chaos Freestyle points champion. Even though both drivers were crowned points champions, their seasons could not have been more different from each other. At the end of the season, Mark Colineri had amounted an impressive amount of wins in every environment possible. Mark was able to take home a win in almost every venue he traveled to this season. Total Wins - 15 Stadium Racing Wins - 5 Stadium Freestyle Wins - 5 Arena Racing Wins - 2 Arena Freestyle Wins - 3 The polar opposite of Mark, Nick Kozak came so very close to taking home a win multiple times throughout the season, but was not able to in the end. But, that does not mean he had bad performances. Nick was consistently in the top 5 of every competition each and every week. His consistency was what helped him rise to the top of the leader boards. This season, points weren't a drivers only focus. The Budget System played a huge role in determining how competitors drove their equipment. At the end of the season, though, one team was able to manage this better than any other team. Real Performance Motorsports was able to maintain their budget the best. Each driver on the team; Mark Colineri, Chris Hamilton, Zach Nicholas and Joshua Micks, were able to average $62,873 per driver. Now, with the regular season over, points titles determined, and drivers eager to compete again, we all prepare for the Sim-Monsters Racing Association World Finals in Denver, Colorado! The field is set, the top 20 in points are locked in, and final 4 spots have been earned by Michael Murray, Dylan Bernier, Mark Iron, and Preston Perez. On behalf of everyone here at SMRA, we wish the competitors the best of luck. The World Finals WILL be livestreamed, and we hope that whoever isn't able to compete will join in on the action via live coverage. The final 4 drivers that already qualified into the field, you are not required to qualify again. Drivers who are locked into the field based on points, you ARE required to make a qualifying pass on the track. If you are locked in and you will not be able to race with us on May 25, please notify either Mark Colineri or Dan Agosh so we can make the appropriate changes to the field. Trucks that need to Qualify for this Weekends event Mark Colineri Dan Agosh Chadwick Deerfoot Jon Cannon Aaron Lurie Andrew Sheets Nick Kozak Danny Mackey Josh Gajewski Mason Watts Devin Doss Chris Hamilton Zach Steele Andrew Wamsley Tyler May Joshua Micks Josh Rhodes Johan Seminario Zach Nicholas Michael DesRoches.
