Crazyboy335
Anyone else watching the Indycar race? Sage Karam wrecked out of the lead at Pocono and Justin Wilson took a nose cone to the face. Right now he's being airlifted to the hospital without a trip to the care center first. This looks really bad.
NavySonicShell
Video: NSFW (maybe?) This is brutal. Hopefully he turns out alright, but it doesn't sound too likely

bkelly
Certainly a bad situation. IndyCar officials quarantined the car, which usually means that the situation is bad and an investigation is going to take place.
LordFrosting
Wilson has been released from the hospital and is going to be re-evaluated before being cleared to drive again. So glad he's okay.

Connor Richardson
I don't follow any races or anything but this is very tragic. Rest in peace. http://www.foxsports.com/motor/story/indycar-justin-wilson-dies-082415

Metallica530
Not to mention some of the incidents involving Formula One drivers. Such a tragic incident, makes me wonder if some new safety implications may be in order.
Sergeant Politeness
I'm surprised how there isn't some form of cage around the head. Formula 1 and IndyCar as far as my knowledge is the only four wheeled high speed racing like this to not implement a cage around the driver's themselves (quad racing doesn't count, it's at a smaller scale)
