To clarify I never said the ROR engine has better physics. The BeamNG engine killed ROR. It's just that the truck physics in ROR are more polished for the time being, and Beam doesn't have multiplayer yet.. It's starting to look better than I remember it being a few months ago with the trucks being less loose and floaty. BeamNG runs like hell on my pc, which isn't a bad system, but that's just me.

I'm reading about BeamNG monsters for the first time right now. I remember trying this software when it was very new (and free, or am I thinking of something else?). So are these trucks made from RoR parts? And are there any improvements over RoR that make a BeamNG switch worth considering?
The ROR physics are better, not to mention ROR is easier to build for I believe and has multiplayer. The physics for the trucks in BeamNG is still pretty rough and it doesn't seem like anybody plans on working on that.

Official Reveal of the Doom's Day driver?
That's probably what it's gonna be, and unless they say Rob Knell (sarcasm), there's nothing big or surprising about it.

That is sweet! Is that an Axial Scx10 Chassis? Looks like it. Super cool!
Yeah I had a Parma Dodge body and an SCX10 roller lying around, so I ordered the decals, put on some longer shocks, wheely king wheels, and some leftover electronics. Runs about as well as a stock Wheely King

We need some of those real SYP fights that we all know and love. That's why I came here

I like the freestyle because Tom just destroyed the truck and then began ramming it into anything. It's always fun watching a driver keep pushing even after their truck doesn't have much left in it.
The reason that run is so significant is because I don't think anybody had run a truck that was that broken, that hard, for that long, until then.

No, I mean the back of the truck. The tailgate as in the part of the truck that's translucent, on the back (or front in this case). It doesn't look quite right.
I think the tailgate is supposed to be translucent, like it has been in real life.

Some action shots of that backyard thing I did last month. Building a new course this weekend so I'll post new pics of that and show my trucks in better detail, as well as my first build.

I think it's less about people getting offended at the sight of a gun, and more about preventing bad timing. Meaning, if there was a big shooting somewhere in the US, and a truck comes out with Gun on it, it would probably be in poor taste in the audience's eyes. Sorta like how they didn't debut Maximum Destruction directly after 9/11. Personally I think the Soldier Fortune turret should stay on because that's just part of the military aesthetic.

It would suck to have the seat in the center for that one.

Those things are dying for a set of Proline Brawlers

Did you even play the Steam release? It was a buggy unplayable mess. That's not "bashing" that's pointing out the devs clearly failed at porting
Not to mention, they accused him of "slander" over something that was factual at the time and just criticism.

Honestly you can't respect the developers after what happened with all their copyright take downs and the whole NerdCubed situation.

Decided to have a bit of an RC competition between 6 of my trucks yesterday.
After the competition and some extra bashing...

It's change like this that makes me sad

I wish the shows were less rushed and that the World Finals wasn't so dragged out. Backflips are so meh to me now and I don't think I've ever enjoyed them being brought into competition. I always felt they were too much of a fixed move and too predictable. I liked it better when tracks were more unique and unpredictable in their design, but that doesn't mean each track has to be vastly different from the others. That doesn't even mean they need to use cars again. Just make things a bit more unique. Using the So-Cal racing exclusively is fine with me. If there's any tracks that I have real criticism for, it's the World Finals tracks. Ever since moving it to two different days, it really has turned into two giant blobs of dirt with no real breathing room, in my opinion.
As far as the evolution of monster trucks goes, I think 2000-2001 was a really important time with freestyle becoming a sanctioned part of the competition, so the trucks began evolving more in strength and safety, as well as an evolution of the courses and what was considered spectacular.

Ah yes, the good old fashioned "save vs recovery" discussion. Knew I'd run into it when checking back here.

" About 6 black guys were in the van." Just out of curiosity, why did you feel the need to mention the race of the individuals who harassed you?
Probably just for details. I don't think he's prejudiced but I got those vibes too
