  1. Ah i'm seeing some clipping mapping on the body, and y'might want to smooth the rims there
  2. Megapost imminent I remember back in 2010 (!) i saw RCHP had posted some video about this new 'ROR' thing. i was very interested. and so i found MTM2 draggers and promptly made an ass of myself so badly that i actually managed to have the ROR section of Draggers shut down. Whoops. And then RORMJ surfaced, and i promptly decided i was a skinner Oh dear no. Anyhoo, then i decided i wanted to race, and Dan Evans needed representing in RORMJ, so i made this ungodly thing I remember being so proud that i managed to rip that Destroyer logo from the '07 game's UI spritesheet myself. Anyway, i was all rip reared to race in RORMJ, atlanta 2009 was coming up and i then promptly got banned for the week somehow, missing my first race. astonishing i know. i don't even remember what it was about. anyway, after that season went by, LF's pack (hoo boy) was the rumor of the day, and along came skinning competitions for the custom part of LF's pack. Yep, it was that bad. Anyway, along since then has been a mix of my own custom truck ideas and various version of Jurrasic Attack which i've never driven because of some arbitrary reason or another, which was a shame, since the idea was that i'd switch the scheme every time i rolled in an event, which would've been funny to an extent. My favorites were the black and green ones. after that, there was slew of various custom trucks that never saw the light of day. Like Blizzard Or Plague Trail of the Long Knives, which i meant to be "Trial" but i typo'd and rolled with it Unspoken Monarch (a name of which i'm rather proud) The Black Bull, which actually did get re-released about two muinites before V4 came out And then some other stuff. Meantime, my 'custom' truck persona was Harlowquinn. Which has gone through a few revisions since then, with each i'd update the photo of myself on the side, none getting any less stupid of course And then there's the name "Haro-Quinn" which was a play on Haro bikes, as i'd just bought a Thread 8 dirt jumper, and i really liked the scheme on it. And of course, there's Ratty I think the last custom truck i'd actually painted was SteelSpine, for Olander I think it was on that truck that i actually learned to model and map, as i thought the body could use some revisions, and i started to change it, and it was about febuary this time, and my first model was actually made on febuary fourth. and it was about that time that uh, other things started happening as well. Of course since then i haven't done much, more interested in Source and some other projects then pretend pretend monster trucks, but it's always nice to look back at your old stuff and go "what the bloody hell was i thinking" and slap yourself across the face for being so stupid
  3. I couldn't enter brass beast in this by chance? not the final hoobah version but one that does the job decently enough
  4. Got my new machine together, and i believe i have the power to turn the universe inside out with it buahaha
  5. Is that the Wild Thang i ripped from Max-d? me and crazy got that thing working years ago, the one you got looks pretty much identical to it, minus not being on a RORMj truck and such
  6. Tesselate the textures on the walls, that is not how real life works also find some concrete textures as well, i like Cgtextures the best
  7. I just got a massive pile of parts and a case that looks like the death star's little brother. 5Tb's of storage, sixteen gigs of ram, and a processor and video card from the future. mabye i can finally play games newer then the european union on it
  8. Oh ok. I've been spending too long on facepunch if i mistake Blender for something autodesk made
  9. Bored as hell, waiting on one more bit for my new super duper computer of unstoppable hellfire and spite, so have a model i was working on for a game i was making that got scrapped, as i seem to have a habit of working with nothing but backstabbing, invidious, slow luddite Judases and half witted aservacious talentless self centred half assed bumbling idiots. This is horribly WIP, and i might not even finish it, but i do have to assemble a portfolio for ThinkTank, so i might put that in there alongside brass beast in a nice big prerendered prettyfest, probably in SFM, since it does volumetrics brilliantly. i don't have blender on this computer so i can't take a new shot, but since that shot was taken, i've added a rear diff, with mountings for a CORR style trailing arm suspension, you can see the startings of the sway bar at the back, i've done the engine mounts, some headlights, rear view mirrors, cut out the doors, started on an interior, added some chrome to the rear, modeled the trunk's hinges, added an alternator, worked on the glass, the weld seam along the top of the cab, erased the sheath for the motor, which i'll remodel once the CORR style front suspension's done, as well as some general cleanup to the model itself. still a lot to do though, and thanks to Ethan for the brilliant and unseen motor, which i've modified quite a lot since he handed it to me
  10. Come to think, what was that modeled in? the shading looks like blender, but for some reason all the shapes remind me of the sort of thing maya's workflow would produce Edit: oh hey, empty pageking. Computer's in bits so there's nothing to show. baw
  11. not sure what's happened to the bands on the side running boards, but otherwise that's looking good
  12. i like how it's on a CRD, i guess that means Dan's in blue thunder on his PEI. it's like 2007 all over again
  13. plus a proper material for good measure. Flat/nonshaded has not and never will do properly
  14. 'cause that's how i roll. Besides, you know me, i got plans
  15. I know i just posted suggesting what you should do, but i figured i'd offer, i'm without a project right now, as soon as i get my new PC put together with pritt stick and rope, could i have a stab at modelling those wings for you? i got a really good shape in mind for them as well as the tail, paint job and hair, and i know it won't leave my head until i put it down in 3d also, that jambo track had better have a motley '52ish merc to crush on there or i will be severely disappointed
  16. mediocre run down dirt merchant on a truly busted up bike earlier this year. 'course my computer's just melted so i don't have access to any of my good runs. oh well
  17. Honestly i'm waiting on BeamNG and a new nodebeam to release them, for reasons i'll probably get banned for if i say why.
  18. Not sure if sarcastic or not also this is being worked on again for my porfolio as well as being a little showcase macguffin for BeamNG down the line, which is why i added the headlight, realtime volumetric lighting is fun and should look pretty cool at night. Since then i've added a steam engine governer in the back, which will run at transmission output speed for the hell of it. The term "balls out" comes from these governers, as they cut off the engine when the centrifigual force forces them outward from their sprung adobe, thus, "it's running balls out" means full on, so i'll probably make that the final notch on the boat throttle rather than "full beans" as was prior. A lot of the other time was spent just mapping the thing and baking it, with still about half the truck to texture, which sucks as i'm a bit crap at texturing. I'd like to say i've done more than that, but my computer melted and i'm waiting on a new one before i can get back to work. So yeah, that's a thing.
  19. Come on, you've got to have more then one derogatory in that head of yours, gay is just a copout
