  6. Very well put Chadwick, but i feel you left out one important detail as to why people my think others are cheating: When ROR First started to gain popularity with ROR Monster Jam way back in the early days, most everyone drove using a keyboard. I believe one or two people were using wheels, and were very tough to beat. Over time, people started bringing in PS2/3 controllers, and began burying everyone with keys. This was the first time i remember hearing people complain about others hacking/cheating with their trucks. It wasn't the case, but because these devices offered better control of the trucks it made it seem as though they were. Now, we've got people using all sorts of devices and controllers to help them gain an advantage. In the early days of ROR, you'd have to drive the truck into a corner straight to get it settle and glide around the corner, now with these controllers, mixed with modified truck files that some leagues allow trucks to slide into the corner WAY earlier than they used to, allowing for excellent corner exits. The control these days with such things is absolutely ridiculous. Which is where i think the crys of "HACKER!" are coming from. You might be a driver using a PS3 controller, and have an absolutely perfect pass, yet someone who has a Logitech G27 will totally outrun you. The way to fix this and make things more competitive? Edit the tracks. Add more grip to them. Make it to where everyone has to drive back into the corners straight and the trucks will again begin to hike up on to wheels. It'll make things interesting again. The recent KOTH at the old RMR proved to be pretty challenging, as well as the RORMTP event on the Mankato Figure 8. Those surfaces were tacky, tricky, and tough on the trucks and the drivers. Made the playing field a bit more level.

  10. This is pretty cool Danny, Nice to have sort of an "All Time Wins List."
  11. And that my friends, is how Daffy Duck was conceived.
  12. Runs Beau's sound pack, not sure if they are compatible with .38 or not.
  13. Mark Colineri and Michael Murray updated a few things on this truck for me. Mark did an excellent job on the paint, and The Frenchmen updated the shock settings to allow the truck to handle a bit more like the real truck. The update is in the downloads section, go have fun with it.

Version 2.0 is way better than 1.0. Mark Colineri did an excellent job updating the paint, and Michael Murray, or as I refer to him "The Setup Guru" reworked the shocks to make the truck handle a bit more like Digger XIX. If anybody recognizes where the side panel paint came from, you've been in ROR for quite awhile!

  17. KING OF THE HILL: SHATNER MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Wheelie Rules: POP and DROP Wheelies only. You will be judged on how verticle you get the front wheels into the air. If the truck lands off to the side and you pull off into a save, that will also count towards your score. There will be NO slap wheeling in this contest. The winner of the wheelie contest recieves ONE KOTH point, and is Top Qualifier for racing. The rest of the scores will be used to determine the racing bracket. Racing Rules: Racing is pretty self explanitory here. Go straight. Either lane does have a freestyle obstacle after the finish line. Making HARD contact that results in a HARD or VIOLENT rollover will result in said truck NOT freestyling. Winner of Racing will recieve 50 points, 2nd 49, 3rd 48, 4th 47, 5th 46, 6th 45, 7th 44, 8th 43. The wheelie winner/top qualifer will have their point added to their total racing points. Freestyle Rules: Freestyle will be REALISTIC. Any truck that lands violently on the rear axle will be shut off and not allowed to refire. That means drive with common sense. Don't SLAM into the back of the FMX hill and land HARD on the rear axle, you will be shut off. You may launch the bus stack as hard as you want, but if you land in an unrealistic way, you will be shut off. The white lines at the TOP and BOTTOM of the track are OUT OF BOUNDS, NO tires will be allowed past them on the grass. If done so you will be shut off. You MAY run onto the front stretch of the track if you wish. Your freestyle score will be added to your Racing points total, the person with the highest point total at the end of the night will be KING OF THE HILL!
  18. TONIGHTS THE NIGHT! King of the Hill returns to Shatner Motor Speedway where Grave Digger will do battle against Bigfoot! 7est/6cst, chat will be on AIM. Truck Lineup: Grave Digger XIX(Josh Rhodes) Bigfoot 19(Michael Murray) Stone Crusher(Aaron Lurie) Hooked(Mason Watts) Avenger(Conner Richardson) Wrecking Crew(Devin Doss) Gun Slinger(Andrew Wamsely) Barbarian(Joshua Micks)
  19. I said you could signup as an alternate. That does not mean you can signup in another truck, that meant you could signup as an alternate driver.
  20. Just a few things I've noticed so far Kozak: 1. You probably already know it, but the sounds are screwed up royally. 2. The speed we have in the current v4 trucks isn't accurate, it is in this truck file its very close. 3. The truck lands very hard, however its a little difficult to get a slap wheelie. Its a timing thing to get one, which I like, but the truck just feels like it slams into the ground and that I really don't like. 4. I'm all for making the truck files to where the truck wants to tip a bit easier, however this is overboard. Its way to easy to get up on two wheels. It creates some great saves, but atleast for me they happen constantly. Making for a more unrealistic feel. 5. Its weird to describe, but to me it feels as if when the trucks in the air, some times it appears the tires are floating. By that I mean they have a bit of an un-natural wiggle in the air, if that makes sense. I'll drive it a bit more when I get the time and make some edits to it if you want to give them a try.
