yep orlando 2010 was a great show now the only awsome risky things that happens are saves and backflips, i get why they have to make dirt tracks for safety reasons but why does it have to look the same, miss the challenging obstacles like the giant motorcross ramp that they had in 09-10 and the double stacks

Yeah. Its sad. I wish tracks had more character and uniqueness. It sucks

i like the direction monster jam is going but at the same time its stupid, inoticed alot this year that more of my friends are getting into monster jam and that theyre building a bigger crowd but at the same time alot of stuff is crap like the fs1 tour and the track designs wish they would go back to how they had it in 2014

Honestly I'd want it the track designs to go further back. Like, I loved the tracks from 2007-2011. Those tracks were amazing and they always were different and interesting. It's kinda what kept me interested in Monster Jam too: seeing trucks handle these crazy obstacles and ramps that were basically one of a kind. I especially loved the tracks that they made after World Finals 9, because they started to make more obstacles similar to the triple bus stack: which proved to be a challenge for most trucks. Like I remember watching the Orlando show on TV and they had a double van stack and it was exciting to see drivers try and clear it. Hell, I even remember Mike Vaters and Black Stallion trying it too, who never was really that risky in freestyle. It was just interesting to see the drivers try and step up and do better every show.

And honestly, I don't see why, making all dirt tracks is more fair. I know that sounds crazy, but I was recently watching some of the older World Finals and one thing I realized was that when a truck knocked down a huge obstacle (for example: Black Stallion knocking down the big truck trailer at World Finals 3), they'd add another obstacle (such as another stack of cars or a camper) to even it out and have other trucks try and get similar point value to the previously demolished obstacle.

I don't know, its just I really do miss it when track setup gave a stadium character for each show. And now its basically the same track setup for every stadium. Which sucks because you basically see the same freestyle over and over. And the less experienced drivers don't improve because there's nothing that new or different to try and step up on (other than a backflip ramp).

  3. Ok here we go:

So, last night everything was just fine and my trucks were showing up. But then later on that night I decided to go on a downloading spree and downloaded a ton of trucks to add to the pack (yes I know how to add the trucks(extract into the v4 folder, bla bla bla)). I downloaded a lot of trucks (roughly 10-15 different zips). Once I added them to the v4 pack (including the standalones I downloaded since I know it really doesn't matter), I cleared and regenerated the cache, just to be safe. After that, I started up the game, chose a track, and saw that there were no V4 trucks at all, including the downloads I have put in and the ones I just put in recently. I looked up solutions to see if I could fix it myself (took the zip out of the folder to see if they'd show up, put the folder in the vehicles, only cleared the cache, only regenerated the cache, extracted all the files into the folder and then back into the zip, basically anything) and nothing worked out.

Now I just got back into Rigs Of Rods Monster Jam stuff and SimMonsters and I really hope you guys can help me out. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

He would overrotated the frontflip if the place were he landed wasnt muddy

Exactly. Its never gonna happen again in my opinion. Or at least, how Lee did it in competition.

Also I know I'm a little late to say this but I think this years World Finals was one of the best ones in a while. Both in track, trucks, and performances.

As great as that front-flip was, I personally don't think it should've won.

I thought that we were past these "one trick wonder" freestyle runs.

As much as I hate to bump arguments/topics, I feel like I should put my opinion here for perspective as well

Lee O'Donnell deserves the win for sure in my opinion, in a technical perspective his freestyle was great. Plenty of consistent airtime and great driving. It was a solid freestyle. The backflip as always was impressive too. And to top it off with a worlds first kinda cased him the win for sure. Not only that, but as you guys said, that may never ever happen again. That was a perfect frontflip, and he landed without any damage whatsoever. Not only that, but it was Lee's dream to win and anyone deserves their dreams fulfilled. Especially after doing the unthinkable and impossible.

  6. Hey guys! I don't know if a lot of people remember me but I used to be here on a lot. Its been forever since I've been on here and I think I finally want to get back into the saddle of doing this and having fun with this game. I never ever competed in leagues or anything competitive, although I was a very active member within the forums and I seriously have enjoyed the work that people have done for this game. I want to get started, but I need serious help because its been forever.

Ok so I need someone to fill me in on whats happened in the past 2-3 years. I'm planning on downloading RoR again but I'm very confused on which version because I want it to run well without beating the crap out of my computer with viruses. I also need to know which version is more compatible with all the trucks (especially the newer ones being uploaded in recent times. Those trucks look gorgeous.), as well as tracks too. If someone could tell me and help me out that would be amazing. Thank you so much and I hope to connect with the community again here soon.

  7. just an FYI... None of my sets are planned. What I do is make a playlist of a few hundred tracks and basically improvise as I go, so I would have to record the set and then go back and listen to it to get the track list.

Ok. If you don't want to do that then it's perfectly fine. I'm not demanding a tracklist I just want to see what you're going to play. So if you dont want to go through all that stuff just to put up a tracklist thats fine

  8. After talking to the promotors for the Something Wicked afterparty, I finally know my time slots. Yes that's pural.

As of now, I will be opening set on the main stage, and a second set later on on the side stage. I will also be the only DJ to have two time slots.

Sweet! How long will they be?

  9. In one more hour (8 PM since I live in the CST zone) , Excision's going to be dropping a major live stream of his 2015 shambhala set, I'm excited as heck to watch it, and I'll post the link to the livestream when it starts up.

EDIT: Live stream is up now, so here's the link!

Loving the EDM posts right now. Keep it up guys

Have you heard of OmegaMode, EH!DE, Teminite, Evilwave, Wubbaduck, Skyloud, QuixSmell... anyone from DubstepGutter?

    I know all of those.

I've heard of all those people. Have tall heard of Kinetix, endless quest, slimfr3ak, StickyKeyz, Codd, He$h, or Aowl?

Sorry. Never heard. He$h and Kinetix ring a bell.

I really like this song. Whole album is free :). The whole song is DnB. First and second drop are breakdowns (thus sounding like hard dance) but it transfers to regular DnB in the end.

  10. you are talking to a professional DJ and dubstep producer. I know who snails is lol.

Anybody you name, I have already heard of.

oh lol I didn't know my bad. I bet you haven't heard of NJB (nice job bro)?

  11. I know about barely alive. Phish is an up and comer. His stuff goes hard af.

Look up Jphelpz, look up phiso, look up midnight tyrannosaurus

    Alright.

Just listened to jPhelpz - Trill. Too empty. It's missing stuff imo. Alright now I just listened to RoboZomb by jPhelpz. I honestly don't know what to think of it.

Alright I also took a shot at Phiso track. I'm gonna be honest, he's too noisy. There's just too m=many layers on top of each other in this music.

On the other hand, Midnight Tyrannosaurus sounded cool. I liked some of his stuff. Here try this one. I hope the rest of the people on this topic like this one:

Snails has some heavy stuff. Check him out.

  12. Hahahaha. Skrillex isn't heavy. Do you even dubstep bro?

    Look up Midnight Tyrannosaurus

                  Jphelpz

                  Twine

                  Getter's old stuff

                  Phiso

Fist of all, I actually dont listen to Skrillex. That was just a remix of one of his songs by KOAN Sound. Its also Glitch Hop, not Dubstep.

    Never heard of Jphelpz

Twine is awesome. His song Smash! with Barely Alive is amazing (look up Barely Alive. You'll like their stuff)

I'm a bigger fan of Getter's newer stuff. His remix of Deep Down Low is the poo

    Never heard of Phiso.

    Now, THIS, is heavy, mdemko.
