Not really, especially since stuff will get buried so far back on the channels in Discord that it would be next to impossible to find. We made it simply as a way for the community to actually be able to talk to each other rather than just constant typing in pm's and in threads.

I would imagine it would be used more for quick feedback and general project discussions rather than an alternate method to sharing aside from on the site and with that thinking I'd rather it all be stuck in one place on the discord server than for it to be scattered around five or more different channels. It's meant to compliment the site more than anything such as a place for people to organize funruns or leagues if they wish and can also be used for watching events.

  2. I don't play much anymore but from my past experiences running a server was never that hard as long as you had a somewhat decent upload speed, computer specs didn't really matter that much unless you were trying to host it and run in it with multiple people. Trying to do anything other than a funrun in a public server usually never goes well but I do remember instances of people attempting serious events or even leagues in public servers and it not going well and a lot of times the toxicity was resulting from how strict or rude they tended to be to others not in their group. Not saying that's the case but I've seen that be a root cause of disagreements more than not. I highly doubt anyone from on here that has run or been involved with running any events would do such a thing in any server and unfortunately I don't remember if the official ROR forum online tokens linking accounts still functions but if anyone had some sort of a red or green flag next to their name that was causing problems should be named though the downside to that is you can change your name to whatever you want on the servers and there have been quite a few impersonators of respected members of all the ROR sites. Sim-Monsters also does not host any public servers to my knowledge and they are not exclusive to users Sim-Monsters.com, there were some where some of us on the moderator team had a moderator role in those servers but I do not know if that is still the case.

  3. We've been keeping an eye on him and he really hasn't broken any rules. No one forces you or anyone else to click on the threads he creates that have annoyed other users.

I doubt I'm alone in saying but if we see any other threads in this regard of asking for members to be banned or removed from the site they will be given the appropriate warnings and/or suspensions.

Watch out, this site can be kind of cancerous sometimes. But, welcome anyways!

I prefer to view it as a life sucking leech that loves salted side dishes.

Welcome to the site. There should be plenty of information around though the search function is hit and miss at time but if you have any questions or need help with something you couldn't find, someone will usually chime in with helpful tips or answers. 😎

So I get banned for expressing my own opinion, not violating any rules, but someone threatening to KILL ME,  encouraging my suicide, and dishing out violent hate speech (prohibited in the community guidelines) is allowed to get off the hook with not so much as a warning.

If you or anyone else on this site receive such a threat of any kind you should know well enough to report it to a staff member of the website as we can not read your private messages.

They may be slightly outdated but they do still apply.

Look, if you want to ban me, that's fine. But I need to say something before I go. I was recently suspended and banned for like 3 days for giving a rating in a truck which I felt deserved the rating. The author of the file proceeded to personally attack me in the comments (I have contacted and made up with the creator). I was then banned after this. It is my first amendment right to speak about what i feel, and the ratings section is there for that purpose. To leave our thoughts on how the file is, and that's exactly what I did. I didn't violate any community rules, didn't express hate towards anybody, and didn't break any rule posted on the site. Over the past few months my account has been active, I have been given warning points for similar offenses for absolutely no reason, which I let slide. Now, I am not. I believe this is segregation and prejudice to the highest degree, as after 1 mistake I made in my first week of being active, everyone on here has personally attacked me and disregarded me. I am tired of it. If you want to ban me, go ahead. But I want to alert the operators of this site the evil, vile people whom have attacked and personally hurt me. I do understand how people like these can function in society. I am sickened, as all I have wanted to do is contribute to a community. Now, I'm realizing the disgusting nature of the community. May I remind all of you, this Is a damned game. Not life or death, a damned game. A 3 year old has better etiquette than some of you. All of you are probably boiled faced nerds sitting behind your computer screens in your mom's basement. Hopefully no one will ever have to experience this terrible, evil, blatant hatred again. I invite a corrupt Moderator to ban me. Take away my rights. Silence me so your corrupt forum can continue to shield your hatred. Some of you have been really nice (John Cannon, Danny Mackey, thanks), and some of you have been some of the most evil people I've met. I'm not only ashamed for the embarrassment of yourselves, but also the ego of everyone on here. Let me tell you you're not hot poo. You're not the damn president. You're an idiot. All of you are violating others' rights, exactly what the community rules prohibit. How hypocritical...

I'll accept an apology, and gladly forget our differences, but i want the community to be aware so there is change. I hope to stay among you all, and end this problem. Please, join and help end our issues, and if you decide to ban me, so be it. Im trying to work it out like a gentleman here. Thanks.

    Sincerely,

    'NtheDiggerFan

p.s. I'm probably over reacting. Ignore this if you wish. I'll be calm by next week...

If you want to make this a public thing, have it your way.

Here is your entire warning history. You were also suspended from July 3rd 2018 at 6:00PM EST until July 5 2018 at 6:00PM EST. All of the warning points you were given were well within reason. The warnings you've received were an accounted factor.

We also know about the second account connected to your IP address.

Here is the exact post in which you were suspended for. I'll even be nice and keep your IP from being public.

Not a single one of us had a problem with you negatively reviewing the upload in question although you claim it was criticism when it was nothing of the sort and more along the lines of that you simply do not like it which is indeed fine as everyone is entitled to their own opinions. All of the posts that were connected to yours or added nothing in value were hidden to stop any further issues from arising. You say you want to contribute to the community in your post in this thread but I've checked and could not find anything content wise that you've uploaded to the site although posting can still be contributing. I think a good place to start would be by understanding the definition of what "constructive criticism" actually means.

    • `Constructive Criticism:` "A recommended set of instructions that aims to collaboratively improve the overall quality of a product or service. Often containing helpful and specific suggestions for positive change, constructive criticism is highly focused on a particular issue or set of issues, as opposed to providing general feedback on the item or organization as a whole."

So you can filter the reviews and bypass the constructive criticism for the things that are (not might be) wrong with whatever it is? Like I said in our private messages where you can be a tough guy, there is a difference between showing off a finished product, and not releasing it just because (your group) and showing off a completely incomplete project and not releasing it because you don't have time to finish it (me). You tried to bribe me to finish my track when you wanted, which will actually make me work on it even slower in case you were wondering. Kindly keep my name out of your mouth, thanks.

I'm leaving this post here, anymore and warnings are going to start rolling out for everyone involved. If anyone needs a refresher on the rules you can find them here albeit slightly outdated and will likely be updated in the very near future.

In case there's anyone around here that still likes to see actual progress being shown, and not just a heavily edited screenshot of a 95% completed truck (or a released link to finished truck we've only seen once), i'll do my best to bring everyone along through the process of everything i make and/or model.  ----- *not taking any digs, its just what this place has turned into. Its show your PROJECTS after, right?)

**snipped for it's unrelated to what I'm responding to**

I feel like if that were true you wouldn't have said anything about it in the first place, you are right that it is titled show your projects but never have we excluded nearly finished trucks or finished trucks with download links included where the only problem I've seen get valid complaints is posting multiple screenshots in an action type setting. Seems there has been a bit of ego stroking going on around these parts lately and I'll be completely honest in that reading a post like that that do indeed take shots at people whether you intend to or not was one of the reasons I stopped posting projects in the past and rarely post them today which is typically when they are near completion. The only other valid point I could see you trying to raise is someone posting any type of project only to never release it who then goes around taunting others with it.

  9. Does anyone still play this? No pictures of it but the current public beta has added airlines, and random events such as police cars and road construction that appear randomly as you travel which is rather nice than the plain road. I've also noticed some added reflection details on wet roads at night when it's raining that I don't recall in the past.
