  1. wow, i can tell you guys did some homework with this truck. Very good job.

small notes that are easy fixes:

    - lighten up the shades of your blacks, all around. not by my much. maybe a few digits. it'll help show more detail.

    - edge split the gussets on the cab x brace

    - insert the missing driveshaft.

    but really nice jobs guys.

  2. I can definitely appreciate what you've done here and the attention to detail you've added.

I would like to stress 1 thing. Try to use as little textures as possible/ try to group multiple components together on one texture file. For example, you have a headers.png and a header2.png for different shines. They couldv'e easily been made into 1 texture and saved that much more fps. Sizing down textures to the minimum also helps.

After only spawning 2 of the trucks, i was at 15fps and I can usually have about 10 or so HQ trucks in-game at once befofre experiencing lag.

  3. forgot the blue 'Sim-Monsters.com' logo on the body panels   😉

Also real criticism here, I would definitely work on your spec textures. Not everything is SUPER shiner (ex. planetary hubs, chassis, rim bolts, etc)

And also be sure to edge split when needed. A couple of your body mounts and Extinguisher mounts look bubbly.

Please take time to write out credits for the members who spent time on the things you used

Makes it easier for those who use this to make other trucks, thank you

I completely agree. During that time we only had that body to use, and not sure if there's an updated body yet...maybe a HF 2018 could be something to tackle next year.

i would've just taken the recent F150 Body from Blue Thunder, Mutant, etc and cut the grill so its flat on the bottom.

Similar to the custom truck Big Finish did.

thanks, idk if you know much about paint.net but would you be able to help me make paint look better and high quality its one of my biggest problems i have making tracks

yeah i kinda just played it safe since it was my first major stadium track, if i make another one ill use an updated stadium

check out MJFanatic's, (or whatever the username is), track making tutorial. He goes over painting real quick, but its a great foundaion to learn on.

As for making the track look worn, just play with your color layer opacities and a very VERY light eraser tool

Thank you so much for all that you do bro.  I can see the passion and drive to make detailed tracks each time out. Very impressive and im glad we have you here. Continue to push the limits!

  7. hey man, couple of pointers:

    1. try to work on scaling of the jumps and ramps. Meaning, try to make each jump the height and width of the actual ones in relation to a monster truck. Its best to bring either a truck file N/B or a chassis a set of tires into blender with you to see how your obstacles will look compared to the trucks. This helps avoid super huge jumps, very small etc.

    2. Watch videos of the real life event, and see how each obstacle throw or pitches the truck. Try to the best of your ability to shape them like the real ones (helps if you have a truck in blender to compare) before exporting. After that, test out the jumps and see how they compare to the real things. Adjust as much as needed.

    3. Try to not make the ramps so boxy. This cuts the ability to cross thread or hit the ramp without feeling like you hit a brick wall. Unless the real life track had very sharp edges, make sure yours are fairly hittable from all sides.

    4. Go to the tutorials sections and look for MJFanatic's track making tutorial. It gives you everything you need to know.

    5. Practice!

Thanks for  attempting to make a track. Your efforts are really appreciated. Keep it up!

Credit is usually to give recognition to the content creator who actually MADE the prop from scratch.

if you re-rexture it with something other than the original texture, than just take credit for that, and give the prop credit to the original maker.

Not hounding you about it, just giving you a heads up, clever truck tho ;)
