It bothers me a lot. I run into many, MANY posts where there are very immature and demanding requests.I don't feel like asking for any help most of the time, because it often gets drowned out in the middle of a ton of "SHINY PEARLESCENT SCOOBY DOO WITH BKT TIRES AND GRAVE DIGGER FLAG AND MAX D LIGHTS WHY AREN'T THERE YELLOW MAX D LIGHTS WITH GTA 5 GRAPHICS I WANT THE TRUCK PLEASE DO IT NOW" style posts. I just focus on learning how to at least Frankenstein my trucks together, because I would rather learn to do it myself somehow, even if it's a crappy job. I just feel bad for asking at this point, and I can't believe I'm saying this but it's all because of some little kids who are just.. for lack of a better word, "cancer". I feel for a lot of admins on here who try to be strict but can't be full on cold either, but I say this in support of their efforts; Toughen up. The stricter we are with uncooperative users, the better the website will be. All they do is make accounts, start abandoned threads that only waste space, and then walk out on the forums just because "we're meanies" or their mom finally decided to raise her own kid instead of letting the internet distract them during "mommy's wine break"

That's what I did I went into the .truck file for the truck and renamed the rims that would be going into the truck's full render, the usual process. I cloned the gravediggerrim mesh and material files and renamed them accordingly including making the appropriate colors, then I put the "finished" files back in packs. Maybe that can explain something prior to posting pictures? I'll get some pictures for you tho

Are we using replicas? Or can we do custom replicas?

I was working on custom rim colors for my truck, and what I did was edit the GraveDiggerRims with the color I wanted. Well, I loaded it up and the rims are invisible, almost glossy invisible. It doesn't make sense so if anyone could help troubleshoot I'd appreciate it

So judging by the way everything is set up in 4.5, I've been able to understand that the folders we used to rely on in packs are all split into individual .zip files. What I was thinking though, is why not make a slightly more updated smv4 .zip for 4.5 with some extra meshes and .material files so that when someone is trying to bring their truck to 4.5, they just need to take the new .truck files and everything else they may have done by themselves and put it in that .zip? It should show up among the other trucks as if it were there before as a default smv4, and it would simplify the task of having to dig up all the component files that the creator of the truck wouldn't have worried about in .37 It might be pointless as far as I know, but we know that truck building is relatively easier for .37 than 4.5 Another idea I had is to provide kits that already have every component that specific truck will need, and if the person designing the truck wants to switch out a chassis or a body, they'd be able to take care of it themselves so long as the other things the truck will rely on stay there and don't get tampered with. The truck files could have a completely blank chassis and body, and the body type could be the truck name respectively (Like F-150.zip, Tacoma.zip, so on..). I don't know though. It's just an idea.

I kinda frankensteined my truck together where would I find all of the components?

It's not so much the revisions not working out than it is getting the truck to be driveable at all. It tells me I can't drive it and the textures are all white save for the rims, is there something I'm missing here?

Okay, I supposedly moved EVERY mesh file I needed into the .zip to optimize it for v 4.5, but the menu tells me it is non-drivable and it lacks every texture save for the rims. I asked the same question over in the SMRA thread but I'm posting it here too so I can reduce clutter trying to figure things out over there should the process take a while

No, really. This is kinda chilling, my attitudes right now are already in full on Cold War II mode. I';m not going into the red scare ideal, since I understand the threat is outside of the U.S., but the fact that I'm stuck wherever my parents decide to go worries me. As a minor, my job wouldn't be able to fund any sort of escape anywhere should nukes start flying, and I know damn well my family can't afford to haul ass either. So unless a neighbor has a hidden island in the deep southern ocean and he invites everyone on the estate to go there, I'm boned, you're boned, everyone is boned. I have too many goals in my life to die by the hands of such a pathetic country like NK, but the possibility of it worries me. The only compensation for them doing something that stupid in my eyes is the reality that Kim Jong Poon's gonna get squashed like the god damn bug he is, he's so roostery and unaware that the numbers on his side only make up so much of the population, that nobody is going to miss the place. Here's hoping my neighbor does have that secret island.

Sorry I'm obviously not there. Didn't have time to reconsider my truck choice on a personal scale and things came up. Damn...

Especially with DEFCON 3 in the books and all the crazy tense crap in the world right now

Well now that my adrenaline morphs into some weird hangover for me, I'll say that after looking back at this, it was actually great. The judges were garbage but everything else was actually solid in my opinion, with runs being entertaining in their own right and seeing some heart from the drivers (like Bari doing that leap? Damn!) People can argue about winning freestyles, and that's opiniative above all, but regardless it's to be debated who should have really won when the top 3 had runs that can all be labeled as deserving. Adam won it, he's done it before and to be honest recalling WF9, it's to be expected. Maybe the reason why we complain about certain drivers winning or losing the finals (or any event really) is because we haven't ever gotten behind the wheel or dealt with to the roots realistic event organization and budgets, we do this virtually and have our own styles with no repercussions (save for budgets on SMRA). Maybe a glitched out wheel or a nasty bounce that can be easily recovered from with a sneaky hack save, but we don't realize that some hits that look soft to us are nasty on wheels that have 5+ tons of REAL weight to hold up, Cam's corkscrew was something to behold (makes me kinda wonder why they push Tom as the stunt junkie and not Cam) and in RoR it would have been a fine recovery, but in real life we saw how it bested the truck. It kinda bothers me how most of the community's name is turning into the category of obnoxious internet fans just like pro wrestling does (and any other sport). It looks easy from a couch or whatever but we forget that the trucks are only so functional to a point and when we start blaming the company or the organizers, who most likely stayed up late trying to design the track and pick judges that HOPEFULLY can be decent and not anger fans, it does look ungrateful no matter how you look at it. Then there's the drivers and their teams who invest so much into keeping their trucks up and running, chasing the gold most of the time, and the reason why the Digger team won so much is because they're one of the most financially solid and bigger teams on the roster. Just like how you see Bigfoot's team being so stable and basically being a truck factory, if they entered as an indie competitor for at least one season they'd be bashing heads a lot with Digger. I'd like to see you try to boycott the show, you know you'll be peeking around the corner and running back to it eventually. And it wouldn't be because they changed it to your liking. I want more bus stacks and whatnot, but I'm still here because things change, and MAYBE they'll change back, I don't know. The show was good, I think the runs on top were deserving, judges still need work, and I'm expecting to see more out of Bari and some other guys in these next years after going balls to the wall with their time on the track.

Well, I spoke too soon. FELD, go back to the abstract finals designs, or else your trucks will break so often you'll end up broke from repairing them so much.

It would be interesting to see Double D win and then have to do a reveal. OR FELD could be cheesy and force a Darth Vader voice on him during his speech with his helmet on
