  2. Been wondering with Paul opening his own fab shop if he was going to start offering the chassis's he built for FELD. RIP the monster truck chassis industry!

As for SUR Pound Hound being a Monster Mutt parody or rip off, they are partnering with a dog rescue organization so at least there is some admirable feature to it.

  3. There is currently no released version of Gas Monkey Garage.

There are no public servers up for ROR as the main site went down and took the master server list with it, you are still able to host your own server or if you know where to look, you might be able to find a public IP and port for a multiplayer servr (probably a newer version though)

  4. Snooty sounding response inbound...
For monster trucks I have always looked to the dictionary to properly define actions. The definition of "save" implies to "keep safe or rescue from harm or danger". What defines harm or danger is subject for debate, is it when the truck rolls? Sustains damage? When the body touches the ground? I would like to think that the term save should imply that the driver is or has maintained control and keeps the truck for rotating more then 180 degrees on a given axis. Anything past that should be labelled as a recovery (definition of recovery being "the act or process of returning to a normal state after a period of difficult") as once a truck rotated 180 degrees it is basically up to the law of motion and whatever bounce the truck happens to take.

With that said I do not look at what Tom did in Salinas as a save but that does not detract from the fact that it was awesome.

  5. The first year the truck debuted they cycled the drivers that were at the same event it showed up at, it was pretty obvious who was driving it during that time because trucks that generally went last would go out 4-5 to last or even earlier.
For the following years after, the driver has been the same during the first quarter (January to March) but has had different drivers for the the World Finals (including the Doomsday only encore). The regular driver in question is pretty easy to figure out if you think about it (World Finals XV Young Guns Shootout). It also had a different driver for the POD tour last year and again, it was obvious it was if you look at the truck and lineup for the shows.

  6. Speaking with some of the people that are responsible for ROR still being updated stated that 4.5 was actually horrible in terms of multiplayer stability. As Matt stated you do not have to upgrade to 4.6 if you are not having truck spawn issues. If you are, all you have to do is download and install it. It creates a new ROR config and folder in Program Files but it will still draw resources from your ROR 4.0 folder located in My Documents (where you already have all your tracks and trucks for 4.5). People having truck issues for SMRA (such as myself, Matt and Will) were able to get our trucks to spawn correctly and without error in 4.6 with no changes as it is more stable.
