  1. forgot to post a picture before I went out tonight but she is about 95% done, mainly need to make the front shock tower and roof/windshield extensions that support the body.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I was hoping to have these out for christmas but I want to make sure that I have everything correct before I release them (basically waiting for some pictures of certain trucks as you can see from a few I have listed were speculation but not yet confirmed, examples Becky getting a CRD, the Meents El Toro was supposed to be Werners new chassis, one of the new Scooby drivers getting the fire sale Northern Nightmare and a Cohen chassis that was unconfirmed on who it was going to).

  2. Xbox 360 wired controller is what I have used mainly used for racing ROR. I have a G27 that I still need to put some practice time in with but steering wheel feels more natural but a the sametime I feel slower. Might just be placebo effect but I plan on using it regardless for SMRA coming up soon. I run 270-320 degree of rotation on the wheel and have my rear steer mapped to the left and right black buttons on the shifter module and shifting is the top and bottom black buttons (the actual H shifter is meh and I do not like running it as a sequential)

  3. Wouldnt breakables trucks lag online play?

Well I can remember the first batch of breakables, the tires would break off but they would still have power going to them. Any time there is mesh deformation (tires or coils on shocks) the game has to calculate it. I know most people average somewhere around 20-50% FPS drop when using trucks with coilover shocks vs trucks without them. This is also the reason that V4 trucks have shocks shafts missing or semicoloned out. That alone saved people 10-15fps.

Thus the balancing act of having detail but trying to keep it so the majority of people can use it.

  4. There have been a few people that tried, there was a small group that used to be active in the community back when Sim Monsters was originally created that were aiming for a complete simulation experience. I know Klayton was working a Lucas Oil Crusader/ Son Uva Digger that were proper node beam structures that could break. I also know Matt Wilkinson was working on a partially breakable node beam, basically 4 links would bend, swaybars, tires that could deform to simulate "deflating". But none of this stuff has ever been released as of now. ROR is kinda of limiting but also has the ability to do quite a bit, it is a very difficult for people to grasp. Do not believe me? Browse around a  truck file, modding for ROR is not user friendly (Beam NG is even worse). Now imagine having to scratch build well over 150+ trucks, ontop of that, now deal with brand new trucks debuting, trucks you finish or currently working on get retired. I have a hard enough time keeping up with chassis's.

Right from the beginning this community grew big way to quickly. There was/still is not enough hands to help build it, and the members on here have lives outside their computer monitors.

  5. UH OH, look what Gary Porter did........and FELD too.

    *snip*

about 80% done. just waiting on the body and finishing touches to the paint.

p.s. sorry about the lexan. totally forgot to do that in the material. BUT WILL DO. dont trip

Crusher is on a Cohen chassis, I am pretty certain on what it looks like waiting on some more photos of it to pop up before I release it.

  6. How is chad saluting/wearing that uniform different from someone doing that in a movie? I mean seriously. I'm sure the last thing FELD would do is try to insult our Military, how many movies are out there involving our military with actors that aren't apart of the military in real life, saluting?

You should know by now that in this day and age, everything offends somebody in some way. Personally I am neutral towards the truck/concept, it is aleast something different (who would want another el toro?) and showing respect to the US Military (which being a Canadian I noticed in Vegas that the US national anthem appears to be as important as saluting the past, present and future soldiers in the crowd).

  7. Tune in to watch the most wildest monster truck championship action ever! You think we will stop there?! We also will have wheelbarrow racing, pie eating and who can drive this clapped out ford tempo the farthest before the engine dies! All to see who deserves to be in vegas at the end of first quarter! children's tickets are only 5 bucks! (unless you want access to the pit party which will cost an extra 50 bucks)

  8. i made one but outlaw had to check it out first i guess

I thought the reason you never released it was because it had  Klayton's unreleased axles on it? Sorry if there was some sort of miscommunication past that.

Updated Landshark, might change to BKT tires once they are released

  9. Even just losing one wheel basically renders a truck useless, but anything more then that, is just crippling. You lose driving power to that wheel (and if the diff is open then the other tire never receives power) and you are constantly dragging your axle housing in the dirt. even worse if you lose a front tire then you will constantly be stopping forward movement anytime the weight of the truck falls on that corner (watch SUD from vegas this year to see what I mean).
