  1. Okay lets take this down a notch for just a second.

Just when I think that there's nothing anyone on this forum could to make facepalm, this pops up; I would tell ya to stay classy, but it's clearly far too late for that. I see nothing funny in someone's livelihood being destroyed, but I guess I'm being too serious for y'all again now aren't I? If an admin feels the need to delete my post, that's completely fine; just boggles my mind how truly classless some people on this site can be.

Be honest for a second, nothing is sacred to the right people on this site. As for why the post is still up, lets revert back to the Monster Truck Video thread.

My rule of thumb is those posts get pruned to save the aggravation of having to constantly clean up after them. If I leave them people get upset and if delete them people get upset. If I delete it without posting a reason it pisses people off and even when I give a reason it still does. This is why the SYP gets pruned randomly and causes people to throw their arms up when the stupidest of comments get deleted but others are left up.

Shut up you guys are so annoying. Kozak likes it, Roach likes it? Nothing wrong. Quit being a bunch of hypocrites. You guys are outnumbered by how many people have liked it. You guys are obviously on the wrong site if you think the stuff we do for fun is classless. It seems everything makes you guys butthurt.

Everyone has a different views, opinions and ways to voice their concern. Being that a whole bunch of people like something does not somehow make it okay or somehow trump the people/person upholding the opposition.  I mean Roach also likes Germany circa 1940 if he were to make a post about how awesome it was and everyone liked it does that mean it gets to stay up?

TL:DR the only reason it is up is because it did not derail the thread (until just now) nor did it incite a off topic argument (until just now). Now lets move on.

  2. Questions, so all tracks work in .38 correct? With the .38 pack, would the breakables we have now work in .38 with the .38 pack?

Track terrain files are a bit different then .37 but I believe converting them is fairly simple. As for anything "breakable" they would probably require a complete overhaul since there was updates to  the soft body calculation system.

  3. From what i heard and read Backwards bob was brand new with the chassis first show last weekend. Feld rushed out a spare truck and trailer with parts out to Pablo with a backwards bob body to run and for his Digger. Dont want to spread anything but i read the Dungeon is gonna be building him a brand new Racesource chassis for him

I am a little bit out of the loop since I removed myself from the social media pages pertaining to monster trucks. Other then the one photo posted in this thread of the truck and the 2-3 photos on MonsterJam's site I could not really distinguish if it was a newer Racesource or not. What a bummer.

Double Trouble is on a new chassis aswell.

  4. The Race Source was basically brand new, Pablo had only recently put it together.

Well actually the one that Backwards Bob was on was Pablo's original personal Racesource (Blacksmith, Captains Curse, TMNT, El Toro Loco, Blue Thunder, Wolverine) so it was not new persay though he kept his equipment in proper working order. However a loss is a loss anyway you slice it.

  5. Remember how everyone said the real truck would be different and a lot better than the photoshop job?

    They lied.

    *snip*

I still cannot believe it is back, I mean trying to recapture USA#1 glory days has been attempted a few times since the early 90's but now it is actually happening. Hell is freezing over as we speak

Yeah I'll give it a week or so tops and Backwards Bob will be on a spare chassis with a new body.

Without knowing 100% for sure if they are being used, retired or even remotely usable, I know that the Northern Nightmare PEI and El Diablo PEI from 2014 have not been spotted as being used this year, so it is a possibility.

  6. .37 is holding the community back.....

Honestly ROR/Ogre is holding the community back, however whenever it came to .37 vs .38 everyone that I have ever talked to about the actual differences between the two, had completely different answers. So if anyone wants to pipe up here and school me on what exactly there is to gain in moving from 37 to 38 and I mean proper factual information that is pertinent to our community of Monster Trucks, not just because it is a "newer" build. All I can remember is doing a FPS test between the two versions with the same track and truck and they were nearly identical but do not recollect much past that.

  7. The one giant pack does not really work, the more people you have the more people you need to chase down for stuff. I do however like working with other people as if you work to peoples strengths (such as as with me I do the chassis thing and am able to model things like shocks or headers. I cannot texture to save my life) and spread the load around between a few people. It will be a balancing act though, if you have people whose work might not be up to snuff. Not saying it is a bad thing, I am still learning and adapting new ways to improve my modelling skills, just wanting to make it aware. Best of luck to those that band together for a common goal, I do not know how much time personally I can give but all of my work is at your disposal if needed.
