  1. Couldn't agree with you more....coming from another 28 year old.
  2. Well of course she isn't going to go after the movies, after all, several of her campaign donors are actors. Wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds you. I just think it's too bad that now we live in a society where politicians will go out of their way to blame everything and anything for the actions of a person instead of simply holding them accountable for their actions. I play lots of these so called violent video games and have never had the urge to go do harm to someone or something. The people who execute these heinous acts have bigger problems than a damn video game that they play.
  3. Thanks Chadwick, turned out even better than I expected! Looks good!
  4. Trying to add a little more authenticity to to the trucks . Curious as to what everyone thinks. Would like to find other trucks that have unique sounds like Incinerator or Krazy Train if anyone knows of any.
  5. I should be there Auz provided nothing comes up after work. Also a for fun promo.... The Razin' Kane team trucks will be on display today in Chico at the local heavy truck repair shop.
  6. I live in Northwest Missouri and I've heard anywhere from 8-22". I don't think they really have a clue. At this point though, as low as we are on moisture, I would take the 22". We'll see. Bring on the snownami!!
  7. Just a little something I did for fun. Nothing special. If anyone has ever seen the intro or cut scenes on the old "Bigfoot King of the Monster Trucks" VHS they will understand where I was kind of trying to go with this and will remember the music I used. Hope you like it.
  8. Thought I would give this video thing a try with something a little different. http://youtu.be/TyKkZTAaF0E
  9. Once again I find myself tinkering with the sounds. This is kind of an experiment here. Alot of people like the sound of blower surge and I didn't like the way the trucks sounded like a 2-cylinder John Deere tractor when they would go into a super low idle so I decided to do something about it. Here ya go. Feedback is always welcome http://youtu.be/KDTeyrWsMuM

  11. Here's the latest update on my sounds. Took JoshDigRhodes advice and lowered the volume quite a bite...I didn't realize I had them so loud til I put them up against the stock sounds Also changed the idles. Didn't really want to but Josh was right on that part too. It does sound better even though I miss that blower surge. I really don't know where to go from here. I've done the best I can to get the sounds as smooth as I could. There's still a couple loops I just can't get to go away in a few of the sound clips but it just seems so hard to find a good sound of good quality to use. It must be an unwritten law of monster truck driving to not keep the same Rpms for more than a second or two. I included the stock sounds in this video just for reference. Like I said, i really don't know where to go from here. I know they're not perfect but I feel like I've done all I can to make them the best I can with my abilities. Anyways...I'll quit rambling..Hope you enjoy..

  13. Name: Beau Smith Truck: Bigfoot 19 Age: 27 Bio: Started playing MTM2 online in 1998 and made some drag tracks and replica trucks under the alias of "Prowl3r". Helped form the original ProDRO online league. Stepped away from online monster trucks around 2002 and found Rigs of Rods about 2 years ago. Been lurking in the shadows mostly but started playing online some lately and thought I would give a league a shot.

    Hobbies

Aside from online gaming all of my hobbies have spark plugs This is my 4 wheeler... 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 And this is what happens when a pond isn't as dried up as you thought... This wild machine is my 1928 John Deere GP. Restored it in the winter of 09 as a surprise for my grandfather. He bought it when he came home from WWII. Glad I got it done when I did so he got to enjoy it some before he passed in '11. Most would think it's boring but it's actually pretty fun for parades and such. Run's a top end of 5 mph @ 950 rpms And my last hobby and funnest....me and my best friend own this one together. 1993 Jeep Wrangler on a IH Scout frame. 383 destroked small block chevy running on alcohol. Made 630hp on the dyno on motor and then we shove a 300 shot of nitrous down its throat. It's going under the knife as we speak though. Turning it into a 412 and switching over to alcohol injection and putting some better internals in so we can spray it with a 400hp shot next year. Dana 44 front with yukon axles, th350 transmission mated to a np208 and a corporate 14bolt rear end. Usually run 40" tires on the front and 44"s on the back. It's a blast to run and an adrenaline rush. And this was my lone adventure into trying to make a video lol
  15. Well this is a personal project I have been tinkering with for a long time. I kinda gave up on doing anything like this a long time ago but I just couldn't stand the normal sounds any longer and decided to start messing with things again. I knew it was possible but it just took some figuring it out on my part to get things to work like I wanted. It took a while but now every truck in my game has the sounds it should. Part of the sounds in this started out as xunlex's, the mufflers and zoomies, they were a great start and I don't want to take any credit from him, but I edited them more to my liking. The rest is 100% mine. I'm a little nervous about even sharing it after seeing all the awesome work going on in this thread right now. But here it is...
  16. Truck: Incinerator Error: Seat is in center of truck. Steering wheel and camera view are both positioned correctly but seat is still in the center.
  17. Hey man, like you told me, everyone has their moments I know how you're feeling. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Don't beat yourself up too much over it. And remember, it's just a game.
  18. I would like to apologize to everyone for the controversy surrounding the sounds I released yesterday. I screwed up, plain and simple. It was a case of a huge miscommunication on my part. I read things for what they weren't and I will leave it at that. Not ever did I think I could pull one over on any of you guys, nor did I intend to. I think too much of Sim-monsters and have too much respect for the work that the Builders have done here to do something as stupid as I did purposely. I don't want people to think I'm some lying, conniving sneak because that is not the way I operate. This whole incident has humbled and embarrassed me more than I can remember in all of my gaming days. I'm not asking for everyone to forgive me but I am asking to please not judge me by one incredibly dumb, truly honest mistake. The sounds I was working on have been scrapped and flushed down the toilet just because I never want something like this to happen again. For those of you who might have downloaded them and didn't keep the original sounds, please get a hold of me and I will send them to you. There's no need for the mods or liquid to have to fix my act of idiocy. I really enjoy this game in the short time I've been playing it and I don't want it all to be taken away or to be labeled a liar for the rest of my time here, which I hope is a very long time!
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngiClQRVqIE Try number 3 on the sounds. I've about got em where I like em. What do ya'll think?
  20. Here's a little bit better clip of my sounds I've been working on. I tweaked on them a little bit and found a different video recorder that let me go longer than 30 seconds Also disregard the horrendous driving in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCCAOP9T9IA
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKqJbzYZrJk Just playing around. They don't sound near as good in the recording for some reason as in the game. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
  22. I'm new here, might as well join in. My daily drivers are a 99 F250 4x4 v10 and a 95 Ranger 4x4. But this year is my favorite, although I wouldn't really consider it a daily driver..... mmmm mud...yum yum http://sim-monsters.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)'> 383 sbc slurping on some alcohol. Run anywhere from 38 to 44 inch super swamper boggers. Kind of my mini monster. It's a hoot. Here's the ole girl in action.
