this looks like a great track only that it's not for 0.4

If only it was for 0.4. Otherwise nice job.

Say what you want but it's still annoying to see that every single time a new track gets published that there has to be the obligatory errant comments for it be available for 0.4 almost instantly after release.

While I'm sure someone will convert this track, one problem is the fact that the crushable cars on the standard version cause the game to crash for unknown reasons in 0.4. This is according to a discussion DiggerFan and I had during beta testing. I'm sure the online version, with the solid junk car props can be converted, but then part of the allure of having actual crushable cars and deformation to the meshes of those crushable cars would be missing. That's half the fun for me on this track: seeing how "destroyed" the cars can get.

On topic: John. At the risk of sounding cliche, your work never ceases to amaze me. The attention to detail, the seemingly 1:1 recreation of the event, the look, feel, and atmosphere is second to none. This track runs very smoothly. I have a lot of fun rolling around the track, blasting through the mud put, and crushing those cars...again, again, again, and again. Those crushable cars are very cool, as I've stated.

Thank you for the opportunity to beta test this! I'm certainly looking forward to more of your tracks.

An absolute fantastic job from you as usual!

Not bad, but I noticed a few issues when I got this piece on track:

The windshield texture is missing for all three versions of the truck:

The tailgate for the Chico 14 and Chico 2014 versions seem to be bent, and aren't straight like the WF version:

Missing textures for the drive shafts/loops:

were do I get the sled from

Go to the download page for my Traviss McCarthy Center TNT track. There is a link in the readme that'll lead you to the sled. Instructions on how to make the sled appear on the track are also included in the readme.

John, these are beautiful replicas. Really very well done in detail and paint. It's truly a pleasure to have been able to beta these trucks for you. Thank you so much for that opportunity, and for making such a wonderful replica to on of my favorite TNT trucks!

  2. Seattle, WA. 1999. This was the first show I watched after I discovered that TNN was finally showing monster trucks again in the form of Motor Madness Monster Jam after having watched, and been without Trucks and Tractor Power for years. I instantly fell in love with Dennis again (as the only show I ever saw Dennis and Digger on tv was Anaheim 1991 with the Z course), and was hooked on Digger, the rest of the drivers, trucks and Monster Jam. The rest of my family joined in on watching Monster Jam, with my dad sharing about as much enthusiasm for seeing the trucks and drivers perform as I did.

Seeing this track forever immortalized in RoR form is truly special.

I always say that when replicating a venue, that the look and feel of the venue/track is the most important, if not the most difficult thing to achieve. You sir have achieved the look and feel of this venue in spades. From the Arena model, the colors and textures of the track/signage/poles, to the tiniest details like the graphics on Spanky's stunt jump, or the crushed starting line pole.

For the actual track's working, the ramps are detailed and the trucks launch off these jumps and cars smoothly and easily. It's quite a lot of fun to do some old school freestyling on.

This track is truly a treat, and an amazing recreation of the actual venue. I haven't even spoken off the offroad version. That itself is a wonderfully made replica and a fun track to drive an offroad truck or monster truck on.

Overall, this is a truly brilliant masterpiece. I hope you continue making more of these classic venues, because this is top notch stuff! Well done!

Am I missing what makes this truck so special, or is this truck just like those horrible "cult classic" movies that have a following of mindless morons?

Love, love, LOVE this track Tharindu. Seriously your best work, and my favorite track of yours yet. All of the ramps are smooth. No wheel catches or anything. I only got caught once when I tried Meents'ing into the bust stack, which just forces you to drive with your head. That imho makes this track great. I love freestyling on this thing.

Also quite like the pits as well. lol. Good job!

  3. Great tracks. If anything, I would have made a little bit more gap between the starting line and the crowd. Just a little tight getting a truck in there. But, that's minor compared to the awesomeness of it.

If you watch some past TNT shows, especially from Freedom Hall (which a lot of this track is based off of), you'll notice that at some shows there was a tight looking fit for the trucks to get staged. Thus I modeled the staging area as such.

And the attach a monster truck to the sled is a hope of mine, but remains to be seen.

    Thanks for the comments!

  4. Not the Burnside as it is now (a recent update was released for it). It was included in a bulk pack for 0.37. Not sure if it got updated in that folder or not. I wouldn't have suggested to use a Burnside if a working file wasn't in existence.

  5. Thank you for the comments/critiquing, Eric. I didn't even think about the angle of the lights before. Now I realize I should have done that before to make it easier for people to spot. I will also try to edit the glow effect of the lights to make it more noticeable.

If anyone else has any notes/comments on anything that can be corrected, I'd like to hear them before I make a fixed version.

If the track is functional and fun to play on, who cares if the cinematic camera doesn't work well?

Klayton, this is truly a wonderful piece you have here. It's a wonderful recreation of a venue I've been to for a few years. I truly feel like I'm inside Raymond James Stadium. I'm having so much fun launching my truck off all these jumps in freestyle. Great work!

That boat isn't meant to be Meents'd over or blasted through at 80mph. You gotta check up a bit before you tackle it. I can jump, or crush it just fine with good speed.

This is a fantastic track crazy. Love how you did new and different things with this track. Love the old USHRA/World Finals 1 look and feel to it. Fun track to bomb around on. Great job!

Absolutely amazing track! I can't get enough of bombing trucks off these obstacles. All the stacks/ramps work perfectly. Very smooth and provide plenty of air. I'm having loads of fun on this one! Great work!

  6. Can't begin to tell you how good this track. I love freestyling on this getting huge air off the jumps, or doing a Paulken style rebound wheelie off the first bus stack, and launching over the second stack. This is a lot of fun to mess around on. No lag at all. Love this track!

  7. Did you remember to extract the FIRST zip file? This track is a zip file within a zip file. As stated: "Extract the main zipped file to access the course layout picture and Author's Notes text file for important information. The file also contains the actual zipped file for this track." Give this a try (if you haven't already) and see if the track shows up for you.

  8. Tom, this track is fantastic! You nailed it! I can't believe how good this track is. From the scale, the textures, the jumps and hills, and even the bumps and dips and changes in terrain all like the original from MTM2. It's amazing! Very well done!
