  1. Tom, you get a Spider amp, you WILL be pleased. That amp is so brilliant, and sounds so lively and musical for a digital, solid state amp. I love my Spider 3.
  2. I played guitar for 7 years. I have a lot of equipment that I've messed with during that time. I know this is about our instruments, but I'm also gonna post pics of what amplifies, and colorizes those instruments. Also as a side note, I draw much inspiration from Joe Satriani. I love rock music and metal, along with instrumental rock. Sorry for the long post and numerous pics. I started with a Squier Acoustic. This guitar still sounds and plays great! I then started playing electric guitar and moved to a Squier Affinity Strat. After a few years of playing with the strat, I moved to my all time favorite guitar: My Ibanez S520 EX. This guitar has gone through some changes with the pickups and potentiometers. Right now it's running a DiMarzio PAF Pro in the neck position and a DiMarzio Fred humbuckers in the bridge. It has a 3-way selector switch with the volume and tone knobs being push pull. Push pull pots are basically allowing for varied wiring to further the tonal boundaries of the pickups, and act as a switch. The tone knob switches between humbucking mode, or single coils (allowing for a strat type sound). The volume controls the "high pass filter". In some cases if you want to play quieter with less distortion and wish to clean up the sound being produced, you roll back on the volume knob. Often times, this gives off some low eqs that may be unwanted (depending on style or taste). The high pass filter can be switch on, giving you a boost of high eq, eliminating the lows. On to amps. My first decent amp was a Crate XT65R. This amp sounded amazing at the time. Especially with an Ibanez TS9-DX Turbo Tube Screamer Overdrive Pedal driving the front end. Then I bought a Line 6 Spider 3 150 Watt amp. This is by far my most favorite and best sounding amp. I also have the floor pedal for the Spider 3. Finally, a purchased an all tube amplifier and 2x12 speaker cab. The amp is a Peavey 3120 and the cab is Egnater Tour Master 2x12. Finally, FX. Various Pedals of all sorts, mostly Boss. Boss BF3 Flanger, two DD3 Delays, RV5 Reverb, CH1 Chorus, TU2 Tuner, Dunlop 535Q Wah, Ernie Ball VP Jr. Volume Pedal, ISP Decimator Noise Reduction, Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer Overdrive Pedal, Way Huge Electronics Pork Loin Overdrive (traded with a fellow guitarist for a Vox Satchurator Distortion Pedal). And the final/and last pedal I bought: Digitech RP1000.
  3. Some very early preview pics of another project I'm messing around with. It's based off another MTM2 Creation that never saw the light of day. I'm planning on re-doing/updating Remington County Speedway: (Shot from MTM2) (RoR) RCS was inspired and based off the game Dirt Track Racing. An all dirt oval that also hosted figure 8 racing will play host to Monster Truck racing of all kinds!
  4. Oh man. Too many good tracks in MTM2. From a builders viewpoint, I was quite proude of the tracks I put out which include the first version of Tallahassee Florida Monster Jam and after. From a racers/downloaders viewpoint, these are some of my favorites: http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=3981 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=2820 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=2889 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=4204 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=2477 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/details.cgi?thistrack=2662 http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=new+liberty+stadium+2&track=on http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=laurance+county+fair&track=on&maker=on Just a few. There are plenty more that I don't remember or can't find.
  5. Looks amazing Rock! Love how Tampa came out. Being a Florida boy, it's great to see that venue in such high and accurate detail. The stadium is fantastic, and the actual track is phenomenal! I don't know how you do it, but every time, you truly blow me away!
  6. Tom, this track is fantastic! You nailed it! I can't believe how good this track is. From the scale, the textures, the jumps and hills, and even the bumps and dips and changes in terrain all like the original from MTM2. It's amazing! Very well done!
  7. Obviously you failed to read the description for my track before you downloaded it. The information posted clearly stated what needed to be done. Tom P. and RORFan21 are correct in what they have told you. Follow the instructions. That'll get the track in game.
  8. Jump in if you can Dave. You were truly blowing me away with the tracks that you were creating in MTM2. They were amazing. Would love to see what you could make in this game!
  9. Wow Coconutmen, that track looks amazing! Looks like a concept track I'm tossing around in my head. I love it!
  10. Right on Tom. It's wonderful to have so many faces from MTM2 here and working on these tracks. Alot of the guys I know, and some guys I'm getting to know. Its funny how we get so nostalic over things. Such as these tracks or the MTM2 game itself. Good to see we're keeping that game alive in our own ways!
  11. The customs will come, and the creativity is there. I myself am focusing on bringing back some old MTM2 favorites because at the time of MTM2, we wished for physics that this game features. More than anything, its the desire to bring back and oldie, to see how the trucks and physics handle on these classic tracks, and enjoy them in a new day, a new time, and a new game.
  12. Ok? And your point is? I guess that is YOUR opinion... Personally, all the NLS incarnations are my favorites. I believe it was NLS2 where Josh and I had a very close race. Josh took the win, and to this day is still one of my favorite races to look back on. It was just so much fun to race him, win lose or draw! Still, NLS3 is my personal favorite above all the others, since it was the one I actual got to work on, and finish for Mr. D!
  13. DING DING DING! We have a winner! Your prize is an all expense paid trip toooOOOO............New Liberty Stadium 3! Lol.
  14. May as well keep rolling with the mtm2 nostalgia tour. I think I'll make this my next conversion project. Who wants to guess what track this is? (screenshot taken from MTM2).
  15. monster jam fan, those projects of your look incredible! I love seeing what you create!
  16. Looks amazing Mark! Can't wait for it!
  17. Tom, flat out amazing! I love it. You've done a masterful job on it so far. Looking forward to seeing more!
  18. Awesome Outlawed! Danny H, you can count on it!
  19. File Name: SanMarcoArena2ndStop File Submitter: Hot Shoe File Submitted: 28 Jul 2012 File Category: Tracks San Marco Arena – Author’s Notes By: Hot Shoe Thank you for downloading San Marco Arena 2nd Stop for RoR Sim-Monsters! I won’t keep you long as I’m sure you’d like to get out on the track. First, if I may, a little history and information: Extract the main zipped file to access the course layout picture and Author's Notes text file for important information. The file also contains the actual zipped file for this track. San Marco Stop 1 (or SanMarco Arena 2005) was a popular creation of mine in Monster Truck Madness 2. I even enjoyed the pleasure of racing on my own track in a league. I lost that race, sadly. However, San Marco was a hit. Thus as I did with many of my tracks, I decided to construct another creation. A “2nd Stop” in 2005. This was a trademark of mine for many of my tracks: to revisit a venue with each new version having a different twist to the layout, or setting. San Marco Arena 2 is an all original track that has been in re-development since its forgotten Monster Truck Madness 2 counterpart. I’m very proud to finally release this track! This track was originally created and mostly finished in Monster Truck Madness 2 before I left the game, and dropped the project. In bringing it to RoR Sim-Monsters, the track has undergone numerous changes in order to bring it up to date, as the original MTM2 version is now 6 years old. The first San Marco (a track I’m planning to re-create for RoR Sim-monsters), was a St Louis style, twin oval layout. This version has what I’ve come to call a Saran Wrap, or Wrap Around Chicago style course. Please refer to the course layout (saracinglayout) picture. At the start line (the Saran Wrap section), you accelerate forward to the first right hand turn through the “Alleyway”, and into a short straight section before making your 2nd long, wide right handed turn. Upon entering the Chicago Style layout, you’ll straighten back out, and fly across the first set of cars, into a tight left hand turn. Accelerate along the straight, and fly over the second set of cars, into another tight left hand turn. Again, accelerate along the straight, and across the final set of cars to the finish. A few additional notes: All the signs and poles on the track have been set with no-collide properties. The signs are for decoration. The poles are not necessarily meant for penalties. They are in place as a guide of where the racing course and direction is. For fun, the Truck Shop is in place for you to swap between your favorite trucks anytime you like. 24. The only single faced hits are the blue van stack (the bread van as I call it), the yellow bus stack on the opposite side of the track and the rv hit are single faced. These obstacle are challenging enough being right against the wall. Both stacks also trip the rear of the truck and throw the nose down and forward realistically, and the rv is easy and fun to trip over, while the side hits for the rv are easy enough at lower speeds. Just don't hit those ramps at high speed and you'll be alright. Slow down and setup the jump like you would for a jammer.
  25. On which jumps are you talking about? I don't mind looking into it but I've had no complaints from my beta testers (Rock, Tom P., and John Cavallini among others)... After seeing Rock's post, the pic's probably don't do this track justice. It's hard to get a good track shot on a venue this big with these many obstacles without risking spamming the topic with numerous shots from every angle. Beta testing has gone off without a hitch. On to the last few final steps. Thanks for the input and interest, though! :D And monster jam fan, that's a sweet looking track! I like the racing layout!
