I'm ready to get back at, the pre-season event I took part in along with RCD 2.0 got me hooked; here's hoping I make it in to New Liberty.

You know, I thought the temperature cooled down a few degrees yesterday..........and know I know why; hell just froze over.

Sony and the PS4 are no doubt the winners here, and it's almost a mismatch when you get down to it. Sony's exclusive games were way better (the new iNfamous, The Order 1886, Gran Turismo 6, and Destiny all looked amazing), their support and showcase of small indie developers is great, and the killing blow was their announcement of their policies and the PS4's price point. Sony learned from their mistakes with the PS3 and came out loaded for bare, while Microsoft simply brought a knife to a gun fight; while the hardware with the Xbox 1 is no doubt up to par, what they presented to showcase the system did nothing to highlight it. Sure, Call of Duty looked great, but it'll look just as good on PS4; exclusives are what entice consumers to purchase a particular system, and that's where Microsoft dropped the ball. Ryse looked good, but the fighting mechanics were rough and only became smooth when you launch into a God of War style timing sequence. Forza 5 was easily the best title they showed, Killer Instinct was a pleasant surprise, and Titanfall looked pretty good; the rest was nothing special as far as i'm concerned. I was expecting a lot from Microsoft coming into E3, but they fell flat on their face while turning their backs on the consumers who helped them get to where they were. They made the exact same mistake Sony did at the beginning of the previous console war, proving the old adage true; those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Microsoft thought that they could do whatever they wanted and their supporters would blindly follow, but today's consumer is smarter and more frugal and they weren't (and more than likely won't) buy what Microsoft is trying to sell them. But Microsoft's loss could also be Nintendo's gain as favorable opinion of the Xbox 1 went south quickly, this type of mistake is what the Wii U needed; now they just need to get some better exclusives out, and more games in general really. That was one of the reasons why the Wii U has been a somewhat of a flop so far, poor line up of games at launch. But now they have an opening to make some noise and gain some footing, but only time will tell if they take advantage of it or not. I would normally not call a "fight" this early, but Sony KO'ed Microsoft at E3 and I just don't see where Microsoft can turn the tide back in their favor; all of the momentum they had coming into this year's expo is gone and they only have themselves to blame. And while I won't get one right as it comes, I will be getting a PS4 sooner than later.

Here are a couple of older chassis that are getting a new lease on life, first is the old Shockwave chassis; from what I heard, it supposedly gonna be called the Metal Monster. Next up is the new (and I use that term loosely) truck known as Culture Shock, and for this one we'll have a little quiz; who can guess what this truck used to run as and who owned/drove it?

Okay, quick question. I saw that someone who is ranked gold can pick any truck they want from the ranks beneath them, now does that to silver and bronze level drivers too? If so, I will be switching my truck.

I'll be waiting for the return of CFMTS, the events were a blast and truly were some of the most well run I've been apart of.

Well, the hiatus is over and I'm back to the RoR grind; first order of business is a redo on the Team Harley-Davidson trucks.

Both of my passes were in the 21 second range, not sure if I'll make it but at least I was consistent.

Yep, I'm starting to think I might've been hacked and whoever did the hacking knew how to bypass the security scans. We're going to have it checked out soon and see if there's anything wrong with it, and after that I'll try re-installing RoR and see what happens. I really didn't want to take said hiatus, but it's the only option I've got at the moment.

Just figured I'd put this out there, and if this is in the wrong area of the site, I apologize. As stated in the title, I'm taking a hiatus from ROR for a while; to be completely forthcoming I deleted everything ROR related that I had. Recent problems have started popping up with my game freezing when I try to go into servers and locking my pc completely down, I've also had trucks do the same thing when I try to spawn; trucks of which I never ever had an issue getting to spawn before. I've just gotten to the point where I'm fed up with it and need to take a step back. Until such time as I can figure why this is happening, you won't be seeing me in any fun runs or leagues; if i'm in a league that any of you guys run, don't expect me to show up. I may come back after v4.5 is released, but I honestly don't know. At this point, I'm just worried about my nearly $1,000 pc, as it seems to be having some major issues at the moment. I'm sorry if this throws anyone's plans out of whack, but I've got to figure out what's going on and I've got some other things I wanna do. I'm still available to help make skins for trucks and I'll still be hanging around this and other ROR MT related sites, and hopefully I'll be back to competing soon; till then, have fun guys and gals!

Well, it seem my issues have been fixed. Went and got AVG Anti Virus and PC Tune Up and it looks like they cleaned everything up. It said I had a driver infected with a rootkit, not to mention that I had a bunch of registry errors and over 1,000 MB of temporary and unused files among other things. Hopefully everything is back to normal now.

I also noticed something else, I can get on private servers without much issue, but now when i try to go on any public server it locks down; and some of the trucks I have that used to work don't now. So I'm gonna look into these other anit-virus deals and hopefully they will help solve these issues.

Well I know I have a hard drive with 1 TB of space and that it has a better than stock graphics card, we bought this HP from best buy and I believe it was a factory hopped up version. I'll have to go in and look at exactly what i've got, but what you said did make some since; i usually have a bunch of other things while playing ROR. But that really shouldn't be an issue since I have a 6 core processor, which is why i'm afraid it might be a virus; it doesn't help that our McAfee is acting up and won't scan the pc at the moment.

My issue is as stated in the title, and it only just started doing this. It has frozen before, but i've been able to close the window one way or the other. But now it's causing the computer to lock up when it freezes, sometimes it freezes in game, and other times it freezes when i'm trying to spawn; and the only way to get out of the game is to hold down the power button or unplug the pc itself. I have no idea what's going on or how to fix, but at this right I may just be taking a forced absence from ROR for a while if I can't get it fixed.
