  1. Only footage I ever saw of it was it racing Bad News Travels Fast in the semi-finals on Facebook. I've still yet to find video of it racing XDP.
  2. The only video of it doesn't show the shock reservoirs exploding. It just looks like a regular jump.
  3. Yeah, like Kozak said, I've never seen a reservoir literally split vertically. It's something new for me to see. The shocks have always been set up to run on the drag strip, so as soon as it took that first jump, that was it. Shane had played around with the shocks before taking the jump, but now they're toast. King shocks are great for their convenience of ride height set-up, but that's it. Their shock shafts are thin and suck. That's why I prefer Overtime for coil over shocks and PEI or Racesource for straight nitrogen shocks. Also, main reason why Adam Anderson sold his King shocks was exactly because of the fact that the shock shafts were breaking and bending like crazy.
  4. Shane Phreed drove it the other day. Made one jump and practically blew all of the shocks out. It needs a major suspension overhaul. The Kings just flat out suck now.
  5. Good, relaxing day at Wall Stadium Speedway in Wall, NJ today. Had a great time helping out Paul and Ty with Instigator and Backdraft. RESULTS Wheelies 1st - After Shock 2nd - Instigator 3rd - Backdraft 4th - Krazy Train Freestyle 1st - Backdraft 2nd - Krazy Train 3rd - After Shock 4th - Instigator
  6. It was supposed to start off 2014 with this look, but it'll only be this one show for now. I'll talk to Greg about it.
  7. David Beazley is driving Walking Tall tonight. EDIT: Randy Moore and some others have been working on this beaut lately, including suspension tuning, engine rebuilding/tuning, and other things. Basically a complete refreshing of the truck. There's a plan for a crack at the speed record soon, and there might be a chance of this truck making it into competition depending on the state of the shocks.
  8. If we can have threads where we dedicate videos to a great driving career and not a memorial for someone who's not dead, that'd be great...
  9. Not Killer Bee, but a repli-custom.
  10. Hopefully this becomes something at some point... Wonky ideas flowing through my brain right now with what direction I want to take this blank canvas...
  11. He created Illuminator to fit his character and personality. He ran Screamin' Demon originally because that's what he bought off of Gary Bauer, the original owner and creator of Screamin' Demon. But Jay wanted something to fit him better, so he went with a new name to fit the new truck to his team (which was the old Virginia Giant #3), being Illuminator. And in case you're wondering, the Screamin' Demon name is now owned by Kevin Mileti, who also plans on getting a completely new truck built so he can run the name again with fresh equipment. And the original Screamin' Demon got an overhaul with a new cradle and some roll cage redesigning, which was done by the team at Badlands Off Road Park out of Attica, IN. They now run the chassis as Park Patrol, one of two of their own monster trucks.
  12. I talked with Jay and Cory in Honesdale, PA last Thursday. Cory is flying out to Colorado for college this coming Friday, and since Jay won't have his son there as crew chief for four years, Jay has decided to sell the entire operation. He wants to get rid of all of the equipment, rights, etc., just so he can finally have some time off from the road and traveling. If the team doesn't sell, he'll do some small deals locally, but no more first quarter tours or far traveling. In Jay's words: "It's been a nice ride."
  13. I'd like to see when Monster Medic makes an appearance, but whatever.
  14. Yeah, it was Martial Law after Greg Adams sold it to Paul Strong.
  15. As soon as they upgrade to lithium batteries (which will be soon since it's already in the works), it will get 3x the overall power it has now - meaning 1600 electric horsepower and 2100 foot pounds of torque.

  17. If you were ever interested in how monster truck suspension has worked from day one up until now, this is a MUST READ article! Marty Garza is one of the biggest innovators in monster truck suspension technology, and he explains advanced shock technology in simplistic terms for anyone to understand. http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/winter2007/monstertech.htm For those of you wondering, Marty Garza is the owner of Overkill Racing, which has run: Overkill, Extreme Overkill, Maximum Overkill, and Overkill Evolution.
  18. Pat's been retired for a while now. He's already completely sold his team and he's moved out of his shop. Thrasher is now based out of Budd Lake, NJ.
  19. Tony Farrell did the whole 2011 first quarter with the second Grave Digger The Legend because of Ryan's injury in 2010 outside of monster trucks. Tony's last event driving a monster truck was in Reno, NV in 2011.
  20. Even though it doesn't mean that he or Nathan are fully out of retirement, I guess you can consider them partial.
  21. Geremie Dishman - retired Matt Brokaw - Still drives here and there Chris Ryan, Chris Lagana - Fired from SIR, went on their merry ways; Lagana is building a mega truck Chris Baker - retired TG Short - retired Joey Sylvester - taking a break, but plans on returning for 2015 first quarter Amber Walker - retired from driving, but still goes to shows Joe Miller - retired
  22. File Name: PEI Tie Rod File Submitter: DanDon File Submitted: 05 Aug 2014 File Category: Truck Building Items Here's a new tie rod model to upload here to Sim-Monsters - the Patrick Enterprises INC. (PEI) tie rod. Almost all of the Feld Entertainment owned monster trucks and a handful of independently owned monster trucks run these tie rods. In this zip folder, you'll find a blend file with the tie rod in it, so Blender users can export and texture their own textures onto the tie rod using Blender. There is also two textures called "PEITieRod.png" and "PEITieRod-spec.png". The regular texture is a blank texture where you can color it your own way, and the spec map texture should stay the same, as it features a realistic shine on the tie rod in game as it currently sits. There is also a black PEI tie rod model in the zip all ready to use on any truck of your choosing. *Be sure to read the "IMPORTANT - READ ME" document before opening anything else!* CREDITS: Daniel Donnelly (DanDon) - tie rod and rod end model and textures Enjoy! 23. Since I've had a day to myself (for once), I made a new tie rod model for the halibut (really bad word play). PEI tie rod model, done from scratch by your's truly. I'll be uploading it tonight in the Scrapyard. EDIT: The zip folder has been uploaded, just waiting on approval.
  24. Another forum page turning into a V5 discussion. Back on topic, me and Edy are working on an Instigator pack with the trucks that you see in the above screenshot that he posted. The trucks have everything on them that's needed, it's just a matter of fine tuning and minor adjusting that needs to be done at this point to make them releasable.
