  1. Very nice looking project, without a doubt. Just throw the right axle housings on there and it'll be good, because one thing that annoys me is when you have the steering ram shafts in the front, but the steering ram bodies are mounted on the rear of the housing. That's it though.
  2. The main reason why Feld doesn't want Dennis driving King Sling anymore is because he nearly drowned when he flipped it over in a mud pit some time ago.
  3. World Finals 5 was one of the worst World Finals, honestly. Destruction doesn't mean a good freestyle. Yeah, it looks cool, but the technicalities are what make it cool.
  4. 1.) Uhhhh... yeah, a monster truck parked with the front axle in the stands and a matter of being inches away from the first row people... but hey, I'm the crazy one for thinking it's relevant, right?
  5. A few things here: -Yes, Extreme Overkill had a fully functional RII system in place before being shipped off to Europe. And from a few pictures I've seen, it still had the RII system in place on the truck itself, but the RII system on the truck is useless without someone that knows how to operate a RII remote fully standing by watching every move that truck made. -Safety was next to nothing. I've seen quite a few events where there was only a 3 to 4 foot tall portable fence as the only protection, but that was in an area with space. If an event promoter is going to use a fence like that, there should be a lot more space around the performance area. Regardless, a crowd should never be that close to a monster truck running over cars. It's okay if they're that close to a monster truck when it starts up and moves on idle, but when it's running over cars, that's a BIG no-no. -Seems like it's only mentioned that Feld uses RIIs at their events. Every monster truck promoter I've worked with or been around has had at least one operating RII remote, and I've been around quite a few promoters in my time. -The MTRA has done a lot for the industry in terms of setting strict safety guidelines, and I commend everyone who had a hand in developing this organization as well as everyone who continues to run and support this organization to this day. -The only person to ever own any Overkill monster truck is Marty Garza. Yes, Kirk Dabney ran it for quite a few years and continues to tour with it on-and-off, but Kirk never contributed to Overkill Racing as an owner. He was an operator. Marty Garza has been the founder, owner, president, and ultimately head-honcho of Overkill Racing since 1989 and continues to be to this day. Despite everyone getting their panties in a bunch over this incident and the keyboard warriors sparking an argument on Facebook over this (apparently), we just all need to remember that three people passed away because of something that could have easily been prevented. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families.
  6. Updates from Wildwood, NJ -Steven Thompson in Black Stallion was the fastest qualifier last night at the qualifying show -Summit Racing Bigfoot #18 blew an input shaft right off the line -Equalizer was having some engine issues (might be running a bit lean, not too sure) -The water really affected the first turn in the S-course since everyone (including the tough trucks) were forced to drive through it to make a legal pass -The second jump on the first straight-away on the S-course has insane angle, and is pitching the monster trucks and tough trucks very high in the air
  7. There is a sand hill, but it's literally just a hill. About the same height as ThunderMoto's finishing plateau, but there's no flat top. It's up, and then sloped down. No middle part.
  8. Updates from Wildwood, NJ -Steven Thompson will be driving Black Stallion this weekend since Michael Vaters' mother passed away earlier today. -The track still has a lot of water on it, but it's expected to be bone dry come tomorrow night at 7:00pm. -It will be S-course racing, but the turns are tighter than a nun, so there won't be any fast drifting this year in racing. -All monster trucks will be on display tomorrow morning at select hotels/motels and will parade down Ocean Avenue a few hours before show time tomorrow night (7:00pm).
  9. First backflip was done in 2008 by Larry Quick in Ghost Ryder. First successfully landed "recorded" backflip was Meents in 2009 at his shop. First publicly landed backflip was Larry Quick in 2009. Cam was the first to do one in a scored competition.
  10. I've never seen it happen before, but I'm pretty sure the car before the dumpster will act as a sponge to the impact, then the dumpster will fold up and slow down the truck immensely. If anything, the front axle might end up hitting the wall. I won't imagine a truck completely flying into the stands unless there's some sort of dirt ramp on the dumpsters. Then, that's when things might get a bit sketchy.
  11. Because that's what all the kewl kids do, maaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
  12. The body on Foot #18 is one of very few off-road bodies I can tolerate.
  13. For those of you in need of some BKT monster truck tire reference shots, here's your goldmine. These tires are currently being run on Neil Elliott's Max-D.
  14. A big shout out and congratulations to Michael Vaters, Andy Brass, John Breen, Kirk Dabney, and Diehl Wilson on becoming a part of the 2014 International Monster Truck Museum & Hall of Fame Class!
  15. Yeah, I knew he's driven there before, but it's still interesting to see someone who's technically not a full-blown "Feld" driver go overseas. Yes, Colt is Scott's son.
  16. Very interesting seeing Randy Brown going overseas to drive for Monster Jam. Should definitely be a wild event with that kind of driver line-up there.
  17. I honestly like the red accessories on the truck. Of course, black beadlocks always work well on any truck, really. It's just the standard "good" look. But the red just added character to it and made it look more stand out-ish.

  19. To a few people, that is the world...
  20. Same with what Wambo said. I would get a notification from Vipre (my anti-virus program) and it would ask if I want to continue with the download even though it may be "infected", and that was when I downloaded 0.37.117 back in August of 2012, and even when I had to re-download it earlier this (this time, it was 0.37.126), I still got a message. I downloaded the file and immediately scanned it to see if it truly was infected, but no viruses came up. And, just for safe measure, I deep scanned my entire computer just to find out there were no viruses found. In my opinion, I would say to just go for it.
  21. Well, with my sophomore year of high school just getting started, I haven't had too much time to make some stuff in Blender, whether it was constructing more chassis, or making props, or whatever. But tonight, I have some time on my hands so I'll be making progress on one of a few projects currently in the works, being the Throwback Team Scream Pack. Here's the latest on Avenger. There are still a few things I have to adjust, fix, and change around, but here's where I'm at so far. Still got Lexan and in-cab stuff to start, and whatever's on here currently I'm going to check over again to make sure it looks good, and then the chassis will be in-game. While I'm doing this, Devin Doss (Double.D) will be working on the graphics for both the Avenger and Brutus Chevrolet S-10 bodies. Hopefully me or him will have some more progress screenshots by tonight! But in the meanwhile, enjoy!
  22. Thank you. THANK. YOU. YES. YES. THANK YOU.
  23. Well, he went back to doing that after being fired from Monster Jam.
