  1. A lot of the ramps in San Antonio look overly steep. If anyone were to hit those too hard who knows what would happen...
  2. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, they finally bring back the most stupidly brilliant truck in existence and it burns up. RIP Bob 2008-2015 never forget. I know Feld will rebuild it but still.
  3. A highlight reel of the obstacle run from Houston, with a nice Steven Sims save at the end.
  4. Holy crap! Those were both Colton? Jesus what a first weekend.
  5. Even though it makes messes like crazy trailer races are my favorite by far.
  6. Todd must have won the event as a whole but since he wasn't competing in the Championship series Dustin in Monster Mutt gets the points. I saw Todd's run before it was posted here and I thought it was clearly better.
  7. It's nice to see Ryan Huffaker a great move in a big stadium. I remember him back from when TMNT was a truck and I was always a fan of his driving. Hopefully this isn't the last we see of him.
  8. Was the popping noise at 1:13 just the sound of the barriers shifting? I really hope it wasn't the sound of something breaking in the truck with the underside facing the crowd.
  9. The color scheme in Houston is mildly surprising. It looks great, straying from the unanimous purple is nice.
  10. I don't usually like Jersey style for freestyle, but the track at East Rutherford last June really seemed to make it work very well. If more courses are like that it's gonna be a fun year.
  11. Woo get to see Donald in Detroit! Now the top 4 automatically get into the World Finals, but that doesn't mean the other 12 automatically don't make it, right?
  12. I remember watching Monster Jam on SPEED of Orlando 2007 and seeing Koehler's signature post-freestyle screaming. My dad still references "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE POINTS. I CARE ABOUT THE FANS!" all the time. Then when we went to a show for the first time it was Quincy in 2008 and I remember Pablo Huffaker rolling Digger about 30 in front of us in racing. Both of those I'll always remember.
  13. I found a set of pictures of what you're talking about, not the same as a video but you can get the gist of how things unfolded. That crumpled up roll cage on the bottom is scary looking. http://monsterphoto.iwarp.com/hot.htm
  14. If Neil had not gone over the other way, would this have been a save or a recovery? (1:38)
  15. Tom wasn't quite as far back in this one as with Damon, but the fact that he didn't spin out is mind boggling. Go to 0:55. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0N8BWmVYZM
  16. That hit against the wall probably didn't feel so hot.
  17. I wish the tracks kept backflips to a single part of the track. Like at WF15 this year, the double containers at the end of the track are all that's needed, they don't need the wall of backflips or the extra containers, it just congests the course. I have a bad feeling that the trend of multiple backflip ramps per event will only get worse.
  18. Seems like a few people were disappointed with freestyle, no offense to Ryan but if this was the winning run that disappointment might be justified.
  19. Max-D with Dennis, gotta feeling Tom would fit much worse with a truck that isn't his. Max-D (Jim Koehler) vs. Grave Digger (Chris Bergeron) at Anaheim 2009.
  20. I like the back-to-back containers for backflips, but that's two ramps (and potentially three in the future). I personally don't think the track crew needs to put another one in the middle of the track to congest things. But who knows, I'll keep an open mind and we'll see what happens.
  21. Wonder if this is where Morgan will finally stay, also Steven Sims seems to drive much better on big open tracks. Sure he's impressive in stadiums, but that Virginia Beach freestyle was something else.
  22. That makes sense, since Crusader was debuted Linsey's had some of the roughest crashes. A new chassis will probably help him a LOT.
  23. That fire was a mistake on the official's part, if they'd shut him down earlier that bonfire probably wouldn't have happened.
  24. Definitely better than last years, just went through all 32 freestyles, and even though it started mildly slow there were good moments and good saves and when Todd did his humongous, majestic jump out of thunder alley I knew the entire night was made. The encore could've had a little more but it was still a big wow moment as it was. Onto the next.
