  1. Great Clips Mohawk Warrior, VP Racing Fuels Mad Scientist, FS1 Cleatus, Gas Monkey Garage, Lucas Oil Crusader, Metal Mulisha, and Hot Wheels are all either corporate sponsorship, or brands that have agreed to license their brand for use on a Monster Jam truck. As long as these trucks have a corporate sponsor they will have at least one main driver that the brands can use for promotional purposes. Look at the past for example, when Ford sponsored Blue Thunder, it had one main driver for the full season, like Tony Farrell, Norm Miller, Lyle Hanrooster and eventually Linsey Weenk, they all drove it for a full season including the World Finals instead of having someone like a Digger driver just fill the seat at a World Finals Corporate sponsorship is also why Bryce Kenny made it in the WF this year. Most, if not all of the companies with a truck probably have it in their contracts that they go to the World Finals not matter what.
  2. Quality over quantity like I said earlier. Doing multiple backflips should be treated the same way as if someone kept doing slap wheelies or donuts over and over for example. It would be one thing if he based a good run around it, but if the 4 backflips are the only notable thing you don't deserve the win.
  3. This brings up an interesting thought I had. So I know it's not shown live on tv because first, it's two nights worth of TV Fox Sports would need to give up, and with ads the shows wouldn't end until like 1 AM or even later. But, why not air it on Fox Sports Go live?
  4. I mean, she bought the tickets and probably wants the kids to be in the video, what do you expect?
  5. They won't be streaming for the whole show. Maybe the first run. Edit: And just like that stream is kill
  6. They just said judging is done by all the fans, so it's an average by the fans from judgeszone.com. How ridiculous.
  7. If he can build a good run around it then it's fine. But if the highlight is the fact that he did multiple backflips he should not win. It's like if someone kept doing slap wheelies, they wouldn't win. Quality is always better than quantity.
  8. "What are you excited for?" "Getting drunk!" I like how fast they ended the interview after that. Also I'm predicting Bounty Hunter
  9. Dude, this was confirmed in December at the Minneapolis show.
  10. So, does anyone know what the hell happened with Cole Venard, or is that still unknown? Edit: Fun fact, Cole's profile is gone from the MJ website now.
  11. I get that too. The dirt bad by the endzone seats has been the same since at least World Finals 16. Like, it's the World Finals, the freestyle course should be significantly different every year.
  12. I've read various places that the BKT's are sensitive against cars, RVs and Buses. They tend to pop a lot easier than tires used in the past, which is why there's been such a shift to dirt mounds. Also using just dirt is a lot cheaper than using 20-30 cars and a few RVs from a junkyard, it's actually safer too when you think about it, since there is a lot less debris coming off the cars and RVs. The fact is that Monster Truck racing has evolved from being just car crushes like it was 30 years ago. If not seeing any cars crushed is going to disappoint you, then you may as well not even be a fan. If Monster Truck racing were still just car crushes no one would watch. Look at events like the Triple Threat Series, the shift to just dirt has mad arena shows a lot more enjoyable. Prior to the arena setups they do now, it used to be a van stack in the middle of the floor, and maybe an MX ramp depending how big the floor is, then there were two racing ramps. When it was just that arena shows were lame. Now, when it comes to stadium, with dirt you can sculpt dirt into any kind of jump you want. With Buses, RVs and cars you had to sculpt the ramps around those. The dirt allows for a lot more freedom.
  13. Cole's driver page isn't gone. I see it listed right now. Screenshot for anyone interested.
  14. Or ya know, he clinched with the most points and with the remaining events there aren't enough points for anyone to catch up.
  15. Man, watching the Portland event on FS1, I could honestly go forever without hearing someone say something along the lines of "We do it for the fans!" or "We want to put on a show for these fans!". Like, I know at Monster Jam University they're put in a media class, but do they only teach them how to kiss the fans ass? Like, when they're interviewed they just twist it into how the fans are so great. Like, I get Monster Jam wants to push the aspect that they love the fans, and how the fans are so great, vut when you have the announcers doing it, and the drovers in every interview it's overbearing
  16. If you want to use screenshots just upload it to a site like imgur and you can just put the link in your post like you would a youtube video.
  17. I have no clue why you guys use aim still. Discord does everything aim does way better.
  18. See, as long as Monster Jam is set up the way it is fan judges will always be biased. I'll use WWE as an example John Cena and Hulk Hogan were guys fans paid to see, and wanted them to win. Because of that WWE would give them wins and heavily feature them. Grave Digger and Max-D are the John Cena and Hulk Hogans of Monster Jam. Fans pay to see them, and of course judges are biased and will give them high scores. I've seen things like Digger come out hit a ramp, flip and leave 70 of the 75 seconds on the clock, and he ended up with a perfect score. I mean, I feel like we've all seen stuff like that. I will give Monster Jam credit, at both the Triple Threat Shows I've been to in 2016 and 2017 they did a good job stressing to the judges to be fair and not score based on name.
  19. If that's an engine then I'm like part way to a full truck. Just need a body, some wheels and a chassis, and actually a lot more now that I think about it.
  20. No, it's not any type of metal at all, it's like a hard thick plastic like material.
  21. https://imgur.com/T9gplfg So, I'm at the Spokane event, and whatever the hell this is flew into stairs between my section and another section towards the end of Max-D's donuts when the truck ended up backfiring and shutting off. No clue if it was from one of the trucks, or what, but they're lucky it hit the one empty chair and missed everyone. Edit: I almost want to say it came off NEA, because NEA did donuts in that area of the arena before Max-D and in the photo you can't really see it, but it has a bit of a blue tint to it, and NEA was the only blue truck. But I can't say for certain. The major doubt I have is the fact that the tint is a very very faint blue, and as we know NEA's blue is relatively dark.
  22. So this was the racing final in Albany from Sunday night, pretty crazy stuff.
