I had to re-watch the show to remember just how tight this turn really was at the time, it was tough to make for almost everyone at the show. You absolutely nailed it! Incredible work! Scaling is perfect for the new leafers and even pretty fun with v5.

I want to deduct a star for not having a timer but the lighting on this track is just so spectacular that I can't do it. I don't even think i'm going to use special photo tracks anymore, I'm just gonna use this baby. Everything looks like a professional made it while driving on this track, even the jankiest of my creations.

  1. Overall this deserves 5-stars for its creativity and laying the ground work for others to follow with. However, as a template chassis, its very rushed. The steering wheel is completely missing, drive-shaft doesn't line-up with anything, RII lights on truck 3 are floating in the air, missing batteries, chassis is missing shock mounts and radiator and engine fans are in the rear; even though its a front engine machine. Despite all that, I think this is a great way to kick-start a new racing category in SM! I've started building my mud truck ride, I'm curious to see where this goes from here!

  2. I'm in love with this track! It's unreal just how much detail you put into this, especially outside of the actual track. The racing course strikes a nice balance of short and fun while still being challenging. I've been having a blast with it since it came out. Thanks for putting it together!

I had a lot of graphical glitches the first time I loaded the Show 1 Racing track. I restarted the game and then tried Show 1 Freestyle which worked great. I tried Racing again and it was fine. Weird. Anyway, timer works splendidly and the track is fun!

I can't even drive on Show 2 Freestyle, even at slow speed. The truck just gets no traction and slides around. Show 2 Racing works much better. I can drive the truck around and it feels like I'm driving on mud. However, there isn't anything visually that makes it look like I'm driving on mud. Kinda weird sliding around on a track which looks dry as a bone.

Anyway, Show 1 is great! Show 2 not so much.

Track itself is amazing as always! I do have an issue with the checkpoints though. After you take the jump and go around the second corner to take your second pass, if your truck even gets slightly too far left and grazes the white finish line the timer considers it a complete run and the time ends. Could have used a 5th checkpoint near the final turn to fix this.

    Edit: Thanks for the update!

Amazing work as always! The whole NAMT series of tracks is just perfection. Love the layout of this track, it really feels like its tuned specifically for these NAMT trucks cause they're really fun to drive here!

A super minor issue i've noticed is that if you're a little too far to the left on the ramp jump you could completely miss the checkpoint. It's possible this is intended, but it's a little annoying. Just gotta make sure you don't get too far to the left!

  3. Sorry, something is messed up with this track. The black jump ramp doesn't work at all, on either the racing or the freestyle tracks. Truck tires get stuck while going over it. The Black car which is inside the car stack in front of it on the freestyle version was painted with tar. Truck tires immediately get stuck and trapped on it. Not much else to do here once you take away this jump feature. The bus jump is nice though. It's a short drag track so obviously no timer on it.

Edit: Apparently i've been informed that this jump ramp is not for monster trucks, its for cars. I don't understand why the collision mesh can't be fixed to work with both so that everyone can have fun. But hey, what do I know.

Amazing! I live near this venue so I've been to it before. You did a fantastic job of capturing its likeness! Lots of fun to drive on this track too, the racing is really unique.

Getting threw the tiny door to get to the track is a pain. Then you can't actually drive to the other side of the track without setting off the script. So you have to drive over there, then reset your vehicle so you can actually race.

But, its a short drag with a timer on a hotwheels tour track.... and that's pretty awesome!

  4. If it weren't for Rep Fan I doubt I would have found my way to sim-monsters at all. I must have downloaded at least half of his trucks on MTM2 and if I was looking for a specific truck, I would always pick his over anyone else's. This re-creation of Extreme Insanity is super well done! I hadn't heard about Rep Fan's passing before this, but i'm so glad that we have a truck in SM to remember him by!

  5. Layout is really unique and I love the fantasy take of a concrete floor dome. Stadium looks good. Otherwise, I gotta admit, I am a little disappointed. The description promised car crushing and destruction and none of them are actually crushable. Furthermore, the really nice looking RV has no collision on it so trucks just pass right on through. Lastly... there is no timer on the racing track.

  6. Good, especially for a first track, but there is room for improvement. Getting out of the tunnel can be annoying as a lot of the walls in that area are sticky so you need to reset if you're tire touches it. My other issue is that the racing and freestyle versions of the track are basically identical apart from 1 car. No timer on the racing version either. Otherwise it looks really close to the source material.

  7. Really  nice job on the Blue Thunder paint, however, it feels like an odd choice to leave the head lights and grill completely un-textured. I LOVE the RII lights, having them blink on ctrl-3/4 is a cool feature. Below the body the truck is a bit of a mess though. There is no transfer case at all so the drive shafts are just floating in the air. Rear sway bar is floating as well and the links are off. Front swaybar is pretty close. Most props are missing shine textures. There are a bunch of props which are just plain black like the top part of the engine and fuel and the power switches. I think the biggest issue though is the massive amount of unused files in the .zips which ramps these two trucks up to a whopping 227mb combined. The truck does drive really nice though. It's fast and very stable in the corners.
