Hi Guys,

Here's my first attempt on Google Sketchup to make a track! It is the Arnhem 2008 track. But I still need to know how you can export it, and put it in ROR. Also need to know how I can get those backfases away!

Not bad at all for a first attempt. Well done.

There's a tutorial on here (in the tutorials section) which tells you how to export although I'm not sure if the tutorial section still works because of the recent problems with the site.

To get rid of backfaces you have to highlight the backface, then go to 'tools' and 'flip backface'.

Tutorial is'nt working yet, so I must be patiend. But if I flip a backface it was pink, but now it is on the other side pink, this happens everytime at the main stands!

If you have a face which is 2D, one side will always be a backface. You could make the object 3D and turn all backfaces to the inside of the 3D shape, but doing this can create considerable lag for some people. The best way is to make it so the stadium walls/stands are invisible from the outside but visible once inside the stadium. That way you do not lose any visual effect from inside the stadium, and it will reduce lag quite a bit too. Of course it's up to you what you want to do, if you want to make it a really nice stadium from all angles, turn every 2D face with a visible backface 3D. If you want it to be a good stadium for online play I suggest using the other method I mentioned.

Hopefully you understand what I mean, lol.

Yes I know what you mean! It will be only visible from the inside! Next step is to export it with orge, but then come's the next problem, if I put the materials/mesh files in a zip file, and put in the terrein folder, it will never show up in toolkit. But like I said, will have to wait for the tutorial page to work!
