Tom P.
Looks good there. The "ware marks" on the jumps are too straight forward. I suggest making them a little bit more sloppy so I gives a better ware effect.

Roach
Awesome Coconut! That was a great show, I went there this year. Best track layout that venue has ever seen.
maxdman
100% Agree Roach. I'm feeling like some obstacle course challenge just like the old KOTH races since there was one at the track this year!
Patriotic Canadian
So i IM'd kozak wondering if i could see the standard V4 Jurrasic Attack. and that just won't do. no sir. so i cracked open the mirror modifer and got to work. Original V4 body is the rough looking one obviously, my shiny new one in the 0,0,0 position I modifed most of the edge loops to be much cleaner. Nearly remodeled the entire beak. Remodeled all the horns, since the old ones were 80 face toss. smoothed the crown and reshaped most of it remodeled the entire eye section remodeled bits of the roof and smoothed some edge loops remodeled the edge of the cab. it's now a five vert curve instead of a one face block completly remodeled the bed. not a single vert left from the original. Although i did trace the wireframe of the original, essentially remodelling it with more faces, so it's pretty similar then my usual rounds of edgesplit and sillouette forming. Glad that's sorted then.
liquidfire215
That comparison is horse shit, You have a smoothed and edge split body, while you compare it to a solid unsmoothed body. GTFO
Patriotic Canadian
Nope. Kozak sent me the blend. that's how it was in the .blend, so i'm assuming that's how it was exported plus every single vert was a double. first thing on the original i did was set smooth. made no difference. there wasn't a chance it was ever going to be smoothed in that state. i didn't modify the "comparison" model at all, and it, in fact, actually is shaded smooth there

crazyman444
the doubles are the insides. I have use the solidify selection tool in blender to make the inside of a body. Which would double the verts, and i believe edge split doubles or adds to them as well.
Patriotic Canadian
Nick Kozak 8:48 pm well there is the blend i sent to get added to V4 sorry if i jumped the gun in thinking that this was the V4 model then and no, the double/vert count was 1-1. even without the inside, since i removed that so i could get editing
liquidfire215
More than likely Kozak simply imported the mesh, when inporting a mesh it does not keep the properties. Edgesplit on the body actually adds double verts when reimporting, Even exporting as smooth almost tripples the vert count inside ROR. Its a broken System. Patriotic Canadian
well even so, i remodeled about a quarter of it from nill, that has to count for something
liquidfire215
Not downing the modeling on your part, simply saying the comparison you made was unfair. This is the body as it appears in game.
Patriotic Canadian
Alright, that's alright. I've sent kozak my redo if you want to stuff it into the pack. So there's that
