MonsterJam2008
http://nextcargame.com Not quite as realistic as beamng, but more complete. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MNI4VLcjoo4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DMNI4VLcjoo4
AaronLurie
Ill tell ya what, after playing the tech demo for about 2 hours, this game doesn't need realism and it shouldn't even be comparable to beamng since it is obvious they weren't going for the same insane realism. But the destruction, speed and the fact that you can land big jumps is what makes this game really fun.
NavySonicShell
Aaron is completely right, BugBear even said they don't feel comfortable being compared to BeamNG because they are two different things, and Bugbear wasn't going for any simulation effect. As for using the engine to make a MT game, good luck getting Bugbear to allow that...
Metallica530
Pretty cool. I can't really picture it being a stand-alone gome for monster truck, but they could be some interesting DLC for it. I like it, actually. Sim-Monsters Demo Derby league anyone?
NavySonicShell
BTW, this game is amazing at what it does. Regardless if it's monster trucks or not, got throw money at it. It's absolutely mental
Dantesinferno52
I could see this engine being used more for something like closed circuit off road racing like Lucas Oil or TORC because of the crash physics and such but not for Monster Trucks; thats what BeamNG is for. I wish there was a way to combine the two, like the BeamNG engine be for the trucks themselves, but the Bugbear engine be for the obstacles (look at how campers deform in the game, it's amazing)
NavySonicShell
I will say, I can run BeamNG at full settings pretty much. I can't say the same about NCG. To have a lot of those cars/obstacles out on a field at once with a non grid terrain wouldn't be usable on half the computers that use this site. Mattworty
in my opinion, it seems a lot like Grid 2.
