ShawnVallance Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Yeah, I too was amazed when ptr announced this on the blogs section. I've been with .38.67 since I first started playing RoR back in the very later portion of 2011, but never upgraded due to the unstable others. With that though, there is hope for RoR's future.
NavySonicShell Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 This is great! Now if only people would realize that the current version we have is awful and that we desperately need to upgrade... 2
monsterjamcod0329 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 A much better version of ror to play on in the near future.
Hornetguy97 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 So total breakbles withour power to wheels that are no longer attached to truck?
Voth Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Who cares about breakables, we get a menu! lol 6
Tylinater Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Just curious here, if we did switch to that version of ROR, what would happen to all of the v4 addon downloads? Because as far as i know, the only thing involving sim monsters that would work in a better version of rigs of rods is default v4 pack for version 38 AND imo if sim monsters did transfer over to that version, I'm pretty sure all of the v4 addon downloads so far would have to be redone all over again in order to comply with that version and idk how long that would take.
Nascarfan98 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Awesome!! So glad to hear a better version of RoR is in the makings!

There would be some hard work to make the change but the weighing the choices of sticking where we are now vs upgrading to what is listed, there is literally zero reason to not make the switch. It is just a matter of playing the waiting game until this gets released 4
bkelly Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Perfect timing to begin working on Edy's idea! By the way, does anyone know if the tracks can stay or do we need to make new ones?
Sonuvadiggerrocks Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Change should happen old .37 is starting to die. It's time to get to the better version of ror. Think of all the new stuff we can do.
Dantesinferno52 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Perfect timing to begin working on Edy's idea! By the way, does anyone know if the tracks can stay or do we need to make new ones? If you are moving to 4.XXX you will need to update all tracks and trucks. We could've been in 38.67 ages ago and then we could've worked up from there but I'm glad some light is being shown on ROR again.
Eric Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 there is literally zero reason to not make the switch. It is just a matter of playing the waiting game until this gets released Someone will find a reason not to.. But on that note, these updates make me kinda want to work on a new pack (if it happens) and play ror again. 3
