  1. Great pack, I love the way these new trucks steer. It's going to make getting around some of the tracks I'm going to make much easier. I think I need to learn to clone and paint some trucks now. Great job everyone. Stuff like this shows that Monster Truck fans are the best fans in the world.
  2. You may have the same bad installer that I had. This is what fixed it for me. http://sourceforge.net/projects/rigsofrods/files/rigsofrods/0.37/RoR-0.37.126-Setup.exe/download
  3. This is the Viper Defender mod for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. My personal favorite mod for the game.
  4. Thanks ghost. I think I found that once before but couldn't find it again or remember where it was. It's bookmarked now.
  5. Sorry for the double post but I just wanted to let whoever saw this topic know that it wasn't V4 causing my problems, it was my RoR installer. Finally got it working so I can actually play V4 now. I've played it less than an hour total so far because of this problem. Hopefully Casey's link to .37.126 never goes away because I think it's the only one left.
  6. I'm starting to think I may have a bad installer for .37.126. it just did the same thing with no v4 in streams. The only way I can get the other stuff to work now is to clear the cache and don't regen and let it run the scan when I start the game I'm going to try and re download the installer and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't I'll have to find you on aim Thursday or Friday night. I'm BobamaticZero on there.
  7. You're talking the V4 zip file size? It says size 635,438,645 bytes and size on disc is 635,441,152 bytes.
  8. I am having major issues trying to get V4 to work on my laptop. I am using the same operating system (Windows 7) that I used with V3 as well as the same game installer(.37.126) and the V4 I am using is the same one that is on my game pc which it works fine on. In fact everything is the same on my game pc (I copied all the files directly from it) except the operating system. Every time I try to start RoR with V4 and clear and regen the cache I get this screen when I try to play the game. The drop bar that says default has no other options and clicking OK does nothing. The cancel button cannot be clicked at all. If I pull V4 out of the streams folder and clear and regen the cache the game works perfectly. Has anyone else had this problem or can anyone tell me where to start at to find a solution. My laptop specs are Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit 2 gigs of ram 797 mb of video memory Rigs of Rods v.37.126 Intel celeron dual core 1.66 ghz
  9. Tick Tick Tick...... That's the sound of the countdown to V4 running out.
  10. Looks like I get it at 7 p.m. tomorrow which means I'll have time to throw a fresh, lag free Windows 7 os on my laptop before I get it. One small question, was it ever said for sure this will work on .38 or should I throw .37 on the laptop tomorrow?
  11. Sunday is going to be a heck of a day. I hope it gets posted on here at 12 a.m. Sunday.lol Great work guys, can't wait to check this out. Just looking at the pics I already have a few ideas for trucks I want to do.
  12. Bigfoot has two unfinished Nigel chassis sitting in their shop right now. They were supposed to be 18 & 19. I'm not sure what numbers they are going to be now but one was supposed to be a purpose built display truck and the other a race one. I'm pretty sure Nigel built the Bigfoot 17 one also. It's nice to see the European trucks doing bigger stuff like this. There is a lot of potential for the trucks over there.
  13. Razin Kane just released pics of their new paint scheme which looks a lot like the original scheme only flat black with some new details and bigger graphics. Pics of it are on their facebook page. Hopefully we see that one in V4. The V4 stuff is looking great and I can't wait to be able to play with all the new toys. I only wish I understood blender so I could help with it. Hopefully some new and updated tutorials come out when you guys are done with the V4 madness and I can finally start making some truck stuff.
  14. Those guys at Team Scream have got the short end of the stick this summer. No jamborees, no Path of Destruction tour and now no Wildwood. I hope things pick up for them next year.
  15. Kind of like that. Try going up to the jump at just under full throttle, then go to full when you're front tires hit it and let off when as soon as you're truck leaves the jump. You may even need to tap the brakes in the air just a little (It's been a while since I drove a Stampede so I don't know especially with the new setup they have now). I usually don't floor it straight at the jump unless it's one built for that and you know the truck will pitch right in the air when it leaves it. Nitro ones are really bad if you have you're linkage set up where you're brakes are engaged at idle. Ideally you should be able to walk up and kick it while idling and not touching the throttle and have it roll with no resistance. When its set up like that you just let off the throttle in the air and the truck levels off perfectly every time.
  16. lol@Demko. RC's will break and mess up if you don't maintain them, especially nitro ones. You've got to realize that every time you run them there are constant vibrations running through everything. If after every run you don't make sure all you're screws are tight and on the motor especially you're going to have problems. Also people need to learn to adjust their brakes if possible or use them in the air to keep the truck level. if you're jumping with the back end down or flipping or whatever and trying to land that way you're just knocking parts loose. That's all I see on youtube. I have 25+ vehicles and I haven't needed to replace any parts in a really long time. The worst I had was some lost screws or wore out ball cups. These aren't Toys R Us toys. If you're doing things right you're maintaining them as much as you're running them. Also my guess as to why the MJ Stampedes are 2wd is because it is going to be a lot of kids first hobby scale rc cars. I keeps the cost down and makes them easier to work on.
  17. I was using TNA as an example. People can debate all day long as to whether TNA is good or not but myself and a lot of other people are being drawn back into wrestling because there is now an alternative to WWE(which I personally can't stand these days). It makes me laugh how both wrestling and monster trucks have had very similar things happen to their industry at almost the same time. Namely the industry having one dominant promoter that bought out it's competition. Rich Schafer flat out got screwed but that hasn't stopped him. The big plus with Rich Schafer is that the venues he wants to get into are of no interest to Monster Jam currently which would give him a big advantage for doing shows with large fields of trucks. The nascar guys know who he is, that he's a good guy and all he needs is the money to make it happen. Bristol was packed this year from what I saw. The crowds keep getting bigger and bigger at his shows. Hopefully someone out there is noticing that. Monster X is on the move also. Either one with the right sponsor could do big things for this sport. I don't think Monster Jam doing shows with only company trucks is insane at all, I almost think monster jam is already going towards all feld truck shows. Anyone see any indy's on the Path of Destruction tour this summer? If another promoter got a big sponsor and could pay the drivers like Monster Jam does and would let them sell merchandise at their shows I think you would see a lot of guys leaving Monster Jam. There's nothing like beating the crap out of you're truck all year and not being one of the very few indy's that gets invited to the World Finals. Someone doing a points series with a purse or something I think would be much more appealing to the indy's out there and make the battle more worth it. I know Creten and Kohler couldn't have been happy about not being a part Path of Destruction espically Kohler with not being booked for the Special Events shows this year. There are some big stadiums out there that Monster Jam is not going to and all it would take is for someone to get the money to get into them. The bad thing is that it would probably take some time for large shows like that to draw big money because of exposure. Monster Jam is part of an entertainment company that has been working with media and stuff like that for years and already has the connections they need. A smaller promoter would have to start from the bottom on stuff like that.
  18. I said the same thing on another thread Casey. If everyone wants to see Monster Jam change, support the smaller promoters and hope they get big enough to compete with MJ. That would pretty much force them to do some new and different stuff to keep their audiance. We need a Monster Truck version of TNA Wrestling right now, a company that focuses more on getting the idustry back on track and doesnt just sit back and make money off of their history and kids. The two I see right now would be Monster X or Monster Truck Challenge. If either one of those promoters gets a good sponsor behind them then the sky is the limit on what they can accomplish in the MT world. I have given up on seeing MJ change and just hope someone else can get big enough to compete with them. It's hard when you have one large company that has exclusive contracts a lot of the big venues and the big names in the industry though.
  19. It looks like a few people on here have the early stages of SnoopDoggitis.
  20. The parts for every computer I have buit came from newegg. I had a few defective ones that were exchanged with no problems. I will always buy my stuff off of there even if another site has it cheaper. Plus I like their reviews and will spend hours reading them before I buy something and their customer award winner stuff is actually what people like and not just them trying to get rid of overstock. I've never had a bad expirence with them. I've never owned a dell but a friend of mine swears by them. I wish I would have been a newegg shopper when I bought my laptop but that was before I started doing online shopping. The numbers look good on this, It has better numbers than mine and it has the better of the two graphics settings that this model came with. I would think you'd be happy with this. Below is a review I found for it. http://www.notebookc...ook.7960.0.html
  21. First Blood (yellow and red Monster Wars) Invader (yellow Monster Wars) Carolina Crusher (any working one) Excaliber (grey old school theme)
  22. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 3D Ultra Pinball Creep Night Viper The Metro City Cronocles Death Rally All Doom Games MTM 1&2 Rigs of Rods
  23. Finally found the right recipe of programs to get the quality I was wanting for my rips. You'd be surprised how little work went into this.lol I figured this had already been uploaded by Roach or Hatebreeder (however you know him) so it would be a good one to expirament with. Here's some old school TNN Monster Jam for everyone.
  24. Sorry about the late response. My laptop is about four years old and with Windows 7 I can run RoR at max resolution with the highest graphics setting and it works great. The one your looking at is way better than what I have so I don't think you'll have any issues. I couldn't find anyting on it having shared memory but I think I tried the version of Windows 7 the third one has on it only in 32 bit and it had shared memory through the OS.
  25. If you're concerned about the graphics card do some searching on the specs of the laptop you're interested in and make sure it has a shared memory option for the graphics. Basically it will let you use some of the ram on your board to increase the graphics memory. My laptop unfortunately doesn't have that option but windows 7 ultimate did it automatically for me. Not sure if the other versions of windows 7 do that as well though.
