  1. What am I doing???? I'm not sure why.... because I could...
  2. I'd dust off the helmet and knock the rust off for somethin like this
  3. seeing that narrowed up red devil back there + the engine he already posted + all the comments always wanting someone to build the truck... I feel obligated to leave this here as nothing more than a reference at minimum as this was the Allison set up correct to AKII
  4. I like what I'm seeing Wambo... man after my own head I can't tell you how many Allison/Packard/Merlin powered MTs I'd built back in MTM2... still have my fairly high detailed and rather accurate allison model would probably be a good base to start with if anyone wants to try to do something with it... hit me up I'd love to see in in ROR
  5. I did notice at the same time speed changed to Fox sports 1 a fox sports 2 showed up... the continental tire races are apparently now shown on fox sports 2 wich I would have to pay an extra $30 a month to watch... Those Bass-turds took away our abilities to watch some of the best races out there...
  6. power wheel chair motors, and rubber tires....
  7. Shock therapy looks awesome with the indy suspension... but I have to point out... the front mount/and differential should be quite a bit lower... there is no way the CVs would hold up with that much angle... Smashosaurus looks just plain cool
  8. Primer grey? Its been passed around like a peace pipe over the past several years...its a solid car but none of its owbers have done much with it...I even owned it for awile just to keep it from gettin scrapped when someone needed $
  9. I do know of a dime 4dr in decent shape, titled not running <1k round here... been on CL alot
  10. lol nope most definatly not... the automatics in the early cars are quite rare... the 280zx (79-83) seems to be about 1/3 of the cars are automatics... and if you've only been driving a couple years do yourself a favor and DON'T... as great as these things are they are WAY faster than is necessary to kill yourself and once you loose traction will turn into a top quickly... I've recently helped a buddy get one back on the road, after not driving for 5 yrs due to a DUI he went on a speed run and found a tree with his driver's door when the back end started to step out... he is still with us but the docs say he may not walk again his left leg is soo crushed. now if its a Z you must have, go for a first gen 300zx.... just as much top end but I have a HARD time getting my 87 to get sideways while I'm trying too... (stock non turbo 5spd)
  11. Mason at one time I would have said my place... however the only one I have left that I will part with is a '78 that i've been debating parting out because I have no title for it... and ky is a PITA to get a salvage for... being real... you won't find a running/titled one around here cheap... my companions and I have likely exhausted the supply parting the rusted out ones and fixing/re-selling the solids... the cars I've seen on the market recently are either a project that someone tore apart then lost parts/interest and/or carry $5k+ price tags
  12. Mason and I will probably get along pretty well... THIS but restored... and sice I have to do a fender and both qtrs due to rust anyway... I'm debating this body kit with the 400whp (estimated... its not back in the car yet) I'll need the tire clearance and not trying to brag but I've had a few of the cars i'm seeing on the list above...so call me crazy if ya want but I've really fallen in love with the lil Z's they'll impress down the highway and check out in the turns but I guess if I had to pick a real DREAM car.... and yes they are legal, all the endurance racecars at the time where and many where driven to the races
  13. when I was a kid I was talked out of a stampede and ended up being given the $ difference by one of the local racers to opt for the associated RC10T to replace my *at the time* 13 yr old Tamiya Frog... I abused the truck badly doing things the brothers up the street wouldn't dream of trying with their traxxas sledgehammers, threw it on the roof of the garage and drove it too the ground... started competeing with the truck, upgraded things for performance, never because I broke something,,,, 20 years later now my original T only requires a shock rebuild and a new set of diff rings and she's back in the game.. for about 8 years that good ole 10T was a weekly top 3 truck at Joe's Hobby Barn in Terre Haute In. both indoor carpet oval and outdoor offroad championships. brought 2 NORRCA road course event trophies, and after I finally replaced it with the "New" T3 for a few months I ended up leaving my hotel the morning before the event and drove from Matoon Il, to Cloverdale In, and back to pick it up out of mothballs and take 2nd in the SCRAM winternationals, beating out Brian Kinwald and one of AE's guys. the only things I ever changed on that truck where parts nescessary to tune for a track... never because i broke it... moral... traxxas = crap
  14. the cheap plastic skate kicker ramps work pretty well if you don't have space to leave something set permanent, the big plastic nascars that you can find at toystores for $5 make about the cheapest crunch cars out there unless you have a track nearby and can get a donation of worn out race bodies donated... baseball diamonds can be a fun place to play depending on the park... the pitchers mound/block often gets some interesting flight angles when i nail it with my TwinForce... Breakages will happen with RC, trust me I've done it for 20 yrs now... and no offense to you traxxas owners but your rigs will break easier than anything else on the market...PERIOD I've had no expirence with the wheely kings to tell ya how they handle impacts. but I can tell you my Kyoshyo Twin force has taken everything I've ever thrown it at...including literally throwing the truck across a parking lot on a bet that it would survive...$30 to my pocket that day so if you want something tough as nails find one on ebay, should be pretty cheap since no one seems to remember that they ever existed haha
  15. haha then bring a truck out here to louisville... I rarely see anyone pull anything off the nissans around here... I guess either the local nissans don't break or somethin lol... hondas, and yotas get raped pretty quickly... and its rare to find a mitsubishi with ANY useable parts left they get raped so bad... but the nissans not so much
  16. Find a pull-a-part or Pick-a-part or whatever big junkyard in your area... altima's have the same engines as MOST nissans and are usually a dime a dozen... find one that was drilled in the rear or sides as 9 times out of 10 thats the only reason the car was there and its mechanicals are still good... those engines are a pretty easy pull for being a FWD and from the junkyards such as those you can walk out the door with a complete engine for around $100 or so.... take it home and swap the motor out. or you can go crazy and pull a bigger motor out of something like a maxima and shoe horn it in..
  17. RKM and I have discussed and planned doing just such short course league, but with my in-ability to get blender functioning would only leave him doing all the truck/track making... so unless help arrives its unlikely it will happen
  18. if the alternator came from autozone or advanced I have no doubts its a dead one already... they use the same supplier and the remanufacturer for that supplier is poo
  19. the centurian looks cool but every time I look at it my mind pictures Marvin the Martian... mebe an idea for a 2nd skin
  20. The projects all look great as always, been wondering how long till we had INDY. Is it me or do the test models for the new engines look cartoony? Any way ill throw my .02 in on the conversations... The fully modeled stadiums do indeed look awesome , and I appriciate the. ork that goes into them, however I feel its a pointless endeavor to go that far with something and leave it in a completly bare boring surrounding... I understand this is the catch 22 That leads to lag. If the new engine helps go for it, but if not... just remebrr those of us with weaker machines and continue with fps and non fps versions L. this community is mre or less built off of RACING these events. It will always be the racers who keep this going. The detail is awesome but to be successful you HAVE to remeber that we're not made of money and have way better things to burn a few hundred on than a new pc just to race the new tracks with. Even back in mtm2 days we lost a ton of racers when Dave's PPRL dropped the vert limit rule simply because their comps couldnt handle the detail of. 1600+ verts in a 10yr old game... Keep in mind ive been in this since Mtm1 I have watched every mtmer here grow up from Fookie to pro along with countless others who have moved on to tother things... you have to put the racers first if you want to survive
  21. aim: xfa Pitbul (Yes there is a space there... I signed up so long ago we where allowed to use spaces back then) skype : non-existant.... I'm a non-tech-savy old man at this point lol
  22. lovin the retro look on that Coors rig Wambo... never woulda suspected to see my scout roof on a bronco
  23. Chassis looks good up there but you may want to widen the engine cradle area a bit... it appears the tube of the frame is going through the head
  24. don't think i've posted on here ZXR-Racer Pretty much just stick to GT5 but have alot of fun drunkenly playin Dirt Showdown and Whipeout HD with a few of my IRL friends I've got Dirt 3 and Shift 2 but actually havn't gone online with it lol
