  1. Your first quarter schedule is already way more packed than mine. The tables have turned for 2016...
  2. Yeah, that's the Black Stallion chassis with the Overkill Evolution body on it. The Iron Warrior and Overkill Evolution chassis should be back from Mexico City, MX now, but they weren't back in time to make it up to Markham, ON, so Mike, Mikey, and Matt threw the EVO body on Stallion and is running it like that for 4 more shows (2 in Topsfield, MA today, 1 more in Markham, ON tomorrow, and 1 in Simcoe, ON on Thursday).
  3. The fact that someone wants to spread the rumor of JP getting fired for having an affair is utter stupidity. I'm not going to say much more on it.
  4. You're gonna wanna tone down the spec map on those headers. They do have shine to them, but they're not chrome like that. Some of the Magnaflow zoomies that Feld trucks run are chrome, though.
  5. There are 2 Black Stallion bodies: the Safety-Kleen one and the regular one. The regular one has been on Matt's truck (which is Iron Warrior) since the beginning of August while the Safety-Kleen body mainly stays on Mike's truck. The Safety-Kleen body is still here in the States while they kept the regular body on Matt's truck when it got shipped down to Mexico on the 15th. Matt, I think, is only running this body for 1 more show this season, but things could change. They keep 2 Stallion bodies around for the sake of promoters wanting the Black Stallion name to run at their show but the name could be double-booked in 1 weekend. For example, next weekend, Mike will drive the Safety-Kleen Black Stallion up at a small show in Canada while Matt runs the regular Stallion body at a show in Topsfield, MA.
  6. Mike brought 8 EcoWork tires in late 2013 and 2 more as spares in late 2014, so he's got a total of 10 tires still on the property. Because the EcoWork tires had too deep of a cleat when it was initially produced, the whole fleet of Feld trucks had the edges chopped off of them to reduce all sorts of different things, from clumps of dirt getting thrown into the crowd to parts breaking off the truck and getting grabbed by the edges and getting flung off the truck. Thank God nothing like that happened, but it's a preventative measure that was taken and is very wise. The difference between EcoWork tires and BKT tires are that BKT designed a tire for the sole purpose of monster truck racing that's extremely light and a little light on the tread so that it can be used in all sorts of applications (dirt, mud, concrete, sand, etc.). EcoWork just produced lightweight agricultural tires using recycled materials and they just so happened to make a bad ass 66"x43"x25" agricultural tire that worked out to be one of the best tires to ever be used in monster truck racing, cut or uncut.
  7. Are you crazy? The mold is up for sale because EcoWork fell through because of the crap going on over in the Ukraine.
  8. To me, the entire roll cage looks like it's sitting a bit farther forward as compared to Cohen chassis that run standard truck bodies. I'm not chassis expert by any means, but that was the first thing I noticed. The tubing from the front shock towers to the roll cage looks a little bit stubbier than regular Cohen chassis.
  9. I'm sure that if she had the benefit of flying show-to-show and being able to arrive late Thursday night to an arena and be outta there by Sunday night that she'd be able to do a full first quarter schedule. But Calgary might just be it for a while now since she's going to college in Georgia.
  10. I remember looking up the Thrasher theme song before and I do remember the name of the song being "Thrasher", but I can't remember who the band was.
  11. Wildwood was... wild. 3 trucks blew engines, and Josh was fortunate enough that Rick drove his hauler from Canada to Wildwood instead of Canada to the shop, but Josh would have been out of a truck for Saturday night. Bigfoot #14, Higher Education, and Avenger suffered engine damage all at the Saturday afternoon show. Koehler lost oil pressure twice in freestyle, and at the night show, he broke the nose off the crank shaft and toasted his engine. Everyone broke something that weekend, but the only truck with very little breakage was Walking Tall, proving why Maxie won KOTB. I never expected him to run as hard as he did, but dang, he tore it up. And the updated racing course definitely proved to be a great one, because it was the best racing I've ever seen at Wildwood.
  12. Hawt dayum, that blower was whining more than Gavin Hill begging Doughboy for trucks. But in all seriousness, those guys at Go N' Big Racing have a great and very unique piece there that's already handling pretty good and sounds great for its first season competing. I'd like to see it run in person or at least just see it in person soon.
  13. With the amount of momentum he had going into it, he would have either went up and flopped over onto the hood, or did a 270 and land hard on the front and pull it back down on the tires. No matter how we look at it, it would not have ended cleanly.
  14. It wasn't anything to do with Zane, the ramp was poorly designed and constructed. The ramp was more designed to just send trucks straight in the air and for the shocks to soak up the impact. If the dirt ramp on the bottom was a tad bit shorter with a little less angle, the front shocks would have bottomed out and rebounded off the bottom or 2nd car with the rear wheels driving up all 3 cars and giving him a successful rotation. For that ramp, if Zane gave it more throttle, he would have had less backwards rotation and just would have shot straight up in the air. There was nothing Zane could do here. The only way this ramp would have worked is if you were running those front shocks extremely stiff with minimal travel, which isn't worth the hassle.
  15. Tim Bee just brought some new 30" PEI bottom accumulator shocks for the rear of the truck, but I'm not sure if he's planning on throwing some 26" PEIs on the front of it yet. He's still got the older King shocks on the front. Oh, and it looks like Tom Herzog has quite a bit of work to do this week at the shop...
  16. And just to add to maxdman's post right above me, Zane clarified that the landing ramp is fixed and should be a-okay to go for tomorrow night's show.
  17. It is just temporary. The River Rat name isn't retired yet (thank god).
  18. I think if it had headlight decals with a grille decal to boot, then it would look better to me. For now it's a pretty neat and different concept that looks alright, just needs those few minor details to do it in good for me.
