My fellow Sim-Monsterites, It has recently come to my attention that the Goldberg 2001 simulated monster truck that I developed last year has a virus that somehow got into the zip of the truck file. The virus laid dormant on my computer for months. When I turned my computer on this morning I was greeted with this message on the screen. To ANYONE who has downloaded the Goldberg monster truck on Sim-Monsters, I advise you to delete the truck before the virus becomes active and Bill Goldberg takes over your computer.

Here's my newest project, after its official US debut... Still some chassis/paint stuff that needs to be fixed, but it's really close to being done.

So, yesterday we had a points competition for racing brackets. I've come up with a way that we can have another points competition for freestyle. Competition A (by me) - Pick the scores you think each truck will get before the event. Whoever comes within 3 points to each score wins 10 points. Competition B (by ARF) - Pick 3 trucks, the scores of your 3 trucks will be added together and whoever has the highest combined score wins Competition C (by ARF) - Similar to Competition A, except choose the the amount of seconds you think each truck will last. Points margin is within 10 seconds. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHICH ONES YOU WANT TO COMPETE IN, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PICK EVERY SINGLE TRUCK FOR A AND C, POST YOUR PREDICTIONS IN THIS THREAD, THEN ADD EVERYTHING UP AT THE END OF THE SHOW.

If anything, that final race was a counter rig. Could you imagine how furious the crowd would be if Max D won after that? I guarantee that Tom either intentionally did it to avoid that or was simply instructed to because otherwise the world finals would reach the closest thing to a riot.

Let's do the math.... If the previous record was 237.5 feet, that makes it 79.1 yards. Judging by the picture, these appear to be the dimensions (lengthwise) of the jump. Going off of the length of the football field, the obstacle is roughly 65 yards (195 feet) long. So in order to clear the obstacle, Joe Sylvester would need to jump at least 195 feet. However, there's still quite a bit of room between the end of the obstacle and the backflip ramp. Appearing to be an additional 20 yards. This would total up to be 85 yards. Or 255 feet. Assuming that Joe can somehow gain the speed to clear the obstacle (nitrous?), he would still have to fly at least 43 more feet in order to beat the record, before flying into the backflip ramp and breaking another world record by performing a triple backflip. If my math is right and there's enough space available for speed, Joe Sylvester has a good chance this year to make it onto the front of the World Finals XV DVD.

What would be really cool is if Joe Sylvester were to clear the quintuple jump and actually break his own record IN competition (assuming the obstacle is longer than the record distance).
