  1. I am form the 90's. 1990 to be exact, I grew up on country and didn't find rock music until 2001 when I was taught to play an instrument. So at the time that's all I knew. That's still all I mostly know (rock mainly and a little bit of country) so I had never heard of Missy. I am aware it was lip synced. But the vocal tracks were prerecorded for the show instead of using the original vocal tracks. My point is that lip synced or not, it was better than most times I've seen her on tv. Not a fan, but I watch Palladia (concert station on cable) a lot while cleaning house or doing other home tasks so... I don't do raves... I'm more of a Kiss, TSO, Journey, Green Day type. I saw Skrillex once with my gf, which isn't good for a person with epilepsy. I was about dead at the end of the night but it was cool. But it wasn't live, but these days it's not always the point. I'm not gonna "gen wun", I prefer live performance, but I also love a good show. I agree with Tylinater, a classic rock band would have been more fitting. I think pop doesn't fit the mood of Super Bowl (whatever that is, I don't watch sports). @Jon Cannon, I would LOVE to see Weird Al at the Super Bowl! He deserves to be there more so than Katy Perry. *Trivia: My girlfriends' name is (how she spells her name) Katie Perry (my gf), but is in no way related to/affiliated with, nor does she make any claims to be related to or affiliated with Katy Perry (musician). NOTE: I have no idea how to use the "quote button", yes I have tried, but I just can't. So that's why I'm not using it. And no I'm not offended or anything, but thought I would just give the facts.
  2. Anyone else see Katy Perry's Super Bowl half time show with Lenny Kravitz and another musician (whom I do not know)? If you didn't see it, it was one of the most incredible concert performances I have ever seen, maybe even THE best (in my own opinion). The flashing lights and fireworks were cool and all, but her voice was actually pretty good, the dancing was just INCREDIBLE, the use of the (what I'm assuming is) flexible matrix screen floor, and her giant lion and the shooting star thing were pretty awesome! If you missed it, be sure to check it out on YouTube or wherever else you can find it. I will post a link as soon as I find one if someone doesn't beat me to it (feel free to beat me to it).
  3. Really feels like they could have done a lot more with the floor than just one center piece and nothing else...
  4. Is it possible to add trucks to the V4 .38? It has been my experience that everything I have attempted to add has come up with an empty or missing file. Is this normal or am I just having a run of bad luck?
  5. Seems to work good. Runs smooth on .38 too. Smoother then .37 actually.
  6. I am having a similar problem, except V4 works but is missing several things (Max D body, transfer case on all trucks, axles and drive shafts on most trucks, bodies not textured). However this stops me from adding new/making trucks. If someone could send me a properly working V4 (stock or trucks added, doesn't matter) it would be greatly appreciated. I have downloaded V4 5 times and it's still the same. I've been here a few years, so I know how to work RoR, I had to redo everything after a virus wiped my RoR files (only them for some reason).
  7. Whenever I try to start RoR (it is .37), the configurator loads up fine, but when I start the program I get sent to a "Not Supported" screen. What makes this all the more strange, is that it's not a screen on Windows, it's the same screen my monitor goes to if I plug in a device that it doesn't support (a device that doesn't need video support, e.g. mp3 players, phones, etc). The only plug in is HDMI anyway. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? I had no problems with the program leading up to this. I have tried re-installing, and now I can't install it because the install can't find some "did you know" files it's supposed to be able to find or download. This is definitely the weirdest experience with any program I've ever had. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  8. we need more female members on this site... almost half the page was about women...
  9. CoD Advanced Rehash, CoD Advanced Rehash 2, CoD Advanced Rehash 3, CoD Special (Ops) Rehash , CoD Special Rehash 2, CoD Special Rehash 3... Oh, oops, I just leaked the next 5 years of CoD games... they're all pretty much the same. My brother and his "boyfriend" are Xbox fanboys that are too daft to see that so I would know...
  10. Window is grey for me too. Re-downloading doesn't fix it.
  11. Though they are not considered "safety violations" by the company, the sport, or the fans (I won't speak for the SM community), and say this as my opinion, not something to be considered a definite truth, I think that the height of the obstacles, along with where they are placed (particularly at WF) can be a bit dangerous. Though the fans are always kept out of reach of the trucks, incidents like Jim Kohler in 2006(?) where he rolled over the fountain onto the dumpsters, Captains' Curse in 2010 (Idk how that one happened) and he almost made it into the stands where the crowd was. Those are a few situations that had me scared when I 1st saw them. The speed of the trucks in racing, the height they gain in FS, it's all cool, but a little extreme and has caused some crazy situations. Crazy things will happen in this sport no matter what, but I think it's gotten kinda ridiculous. Mind you these are my opinions. I'm not trying to force them on anyone, and you don't have to agree. I don't want to start an argument with anyone either. I just want to enjoy the community. I'm not going to discuss this anymore because I want this thread to keep it's intended topic.
  12. I have thought this same thing. I love Monster Jam (all other monster truck events as well), but the size of the obstacles has been worrying me lately, especially this year. The fast J-style track is cool, but when you look back at the events where Captains Curse as well as Titan, slamming into the wall (going over into the stands in CC's case), any malfunction and that can happen. The officials can't catch everything before it happens. Sometimes they just can't tell or don't know. Monster Jam has been a major offender of safety violations and hazards for the past few years and it's really starting to concern me. I think it's time they scaled back on the obstacles (especially in Vegas), and stop cluttering up the WF track and move the obstacles further away from the stands. On that note, put the "sick air" jump on the other side by the scoreboard to give more room in racing so they can thin the track a bit.
  13. I'm ok with opinions, that's the whole idea of this thread, just seen a few threads get locked for that kinda stuff and don't wanna see that happen. Since it's on the topic, I'm ok with backflips so long as they are treated like a normal stunt and not every ramp is a backflip ramp (WF15). As for Feld, I'll take the USHRA over them any day.
  14. This thread is slowly going from it's original topic to a Feld/MJ/MJWF/backflip hate thread. Careful now. It would be sad that the one time I inspire something to be made, it's a thread that gets locked (and if it goes that direction, I wouldn't blame the moderators for doing so).
  15. Thanks for the shout out :-D I've never gotten one before! As for monster trucks in general I prefer the 90's. The 80's were cool (even though I wasn't there for them) when it was about crushing and crawling, but I was there for the 90's and lived the moments, so I identify more with that time. I consider both 80's and 90's equally great in their own ways. I Prefer Monster Jam from 2003-2010. Better track color schemes, it didn't "seem" as much like shows were rigged. No to little focus on a video game or other merch, and it had more of a "televised sport" feel like Lucas Oil Off road for example, and not a circus feel. The courses have always been similar throughout the season, with a few that were different, but there was more experimental stuff that they don't do so much anymore. Vehicles were still crushed by trucks, not tractors. Also the DC/Marvel/pop culture takeover is killing it for me. I see a lot of young talented drivers withy a bright future if they stick to it. Safety enhancements are ever growing. Independent's are making a comeback. Ryan Anderson. Need a say more? The fact that drivers are trying these unrealistic moves you only saw in games that we thought would never happen is pretty neat (i.e. backflips, corckscrews, almost a few barrel rolls), as for making it into competition permanently, I don't care one way nor the other. I fear as the trucks jump higher and further, go faster, and pull more wild stunts, safety will become a major issue, for drivers, spectators, and track/truck crews alike. Once it's in the air, what can you do or build to stop a 10k+ truck (thing)? Sponsorships may run rampant causing who knows what. Finding alternative fuel/power. No matter where it goes, I will always try to find some light in the sport and will follow it as much as I can (from the stands and internet, I have no intentions of being as driver).
  16. Que "Monster Jam then and now" thread lol! (No really, that should exists)
  17. The human race... 1.People who want to know if I'm a boy or a girl, so they can hit on me (mostly on GTA online) 2.Religion 3.The U.S. Government 5.Rockstar Games 6.Microsoft 7.Metal heads (especially ones that hate/say Metallica and Black Sabbath aren't "real" and (insert your next modern black/scream/death/speed/power/hardcore metal band here) (I don't give a $#!-+ about metal but they annoy me) 8.Musicians who think they know everything, but are ignorant, can't focus and think they are the be all and end all to their band while unknowingly tearing the band apart 9.All modern video games I know of are shooters, racing, and GTA wannabe, that's it. (Please inform me of others) NOTE PHRASE "THAT I KNOW OF" 10.Console haters, PS, XBOX, WII, PC, they plays games, people use them, all sell well, they all must be good. 11.Lists that go over 10, or have items that aren't counted as being "in the list"
  18. @Monster Jam Fan- I like this new custom WF! Nice to see one that isn't purple and yellow (though as far as I know only I think 2 and 5 were) but I really like the obstacles. Looking forward to this one!
  19. @DDT it's KatherinesDD for my PSN, sorry could have mentioned that lol!
  20. Trueblood1997 correct? My name on there is KatherinesDD because my girlfriend started it and I just took over when she decided she didn't like it.
  21. I do too. I have PS3 always lookin4friends to have fun with! I added you DDT
  22. Honestly, I don't think AAP did anything to ruin Monster Jam. The tracks were red and yellow (AAP colors) most likely because Feld sucked up to AAP as they were a large corporation, and now that AAP left, the tracks are all still the same (roughly) as the few years prior, meaning that it's likely Feld's doing, or the uncreative track crew if it's up to them, and so much crazy stuff has happened since AAP left that never happened during their sponsorship. You can tell the drivers loved AAP (probably because they got tons of free equipment), but you can tell they have a massive hatred for Feld. Especially during WF 15.
  23. I know your feelz Metallica530, my best friend (guitarist/vocalist/songwriter for the band) got a girlfriend and disappeared off the face of the planet, which means no band either... it hurts. He didn't even say anything either, he just... disappeared.
