  1. So I'm finishing up an old project, adding the final details and inspecting the track... Will be released soon.
  2. That driver is fantastically detailed. Great stuff.
  3. Amazing work John. Fantastic stuff!
  4. Freestyle only leagues proved to be quite fun back in the days of MTM2. Those were the leagues I cut my teeth on when I first started participating in online competitions. I've been wanting to see a freestyle only league for sometime now. Most people may not like the idea only because of a personal preference, or wanting leagues to be more like actual Monster Jams where there is both racing and freestyle. There has already been a number of these sorts of leagues. So imho, a freestyle only league would be a nice switch from the norm. As for your question about RII's, all vehicles in RoR have an ignition system allowing you to toggle your engine on and off. In these leagues, if a truck gets in to a certain amount of trouble where an RII is needed, the league officials would then send an in game chat message saying to "RII". At this point, the driver of the truck would have to abide by the league officials ruling, and shut themselves off. Since you're new, I would suggest speaking to some other league owners (refer to the League Directory) and pick their brains. They would be able to answer your questions. You could also sit in for a few of their events to get an idea of how things are ran. As a further recommendation, you could always host fun runs of such an event to not only see how much interest is sparked in such an idea, but to also test things out before making a go at a full fledged league or series of events. If enough interest is sparked in this, then I say go for it!
  5. Seattle, WA. 1999. This was the first show I watched after I discovered that TNN was finally showing monster trucks again in the form of Motor Madness Monster Jam after having watched, and been without Trucks and Tractor Power for years. I instantly fell in love with Dennis again (as the only show I ever saw Dennis and Digger on tv was Anaheim 1991 with the Z course), and was hooked on Digger, the rest of the drivers, trucks and Monster Jam. The rest of my family joined in on watching Monster Jam, with my dad sharing about as much enthusiasm for seeing the trucks and drivers perform as I did. Seeing this track forever immortalized in RoR form is truly special. I always say that when replicating a venue, that the look and feel of the venue/track is the most important, if not the most difficult thing to achieve. You sir have achieved the look and feel of this venue in spades. From the Arena model, the colors and textures of the track/signage/poles, to the tiniest details like the graphics on Spanky's stunt jump, or the crushed starting line pole. For the actual track's working, the ramps are detailed and the trucks launch off these jumps and cars smoothly and easily. It's quite a lot of fun to do some old school freestyling on. This track is truly a treat, and an amazing recreation of the actual venue. I haven't even spoken off the offroad version. That itself is a wonderfully made replica and a fun track to drive an offroad truck or monster truck on. Overall, this is a truly brilliant masterpiece. I hope you continue making more of these classic venues, because this is top notch stuff! Well done!
  6. Amazing, DiggerFan! Wonderful stuff!
  7. Even if tr?cks were released more often, I'd hardly consider it to be an "improvement". "Improving Sim-Monsters" could imply that the functionality of the site is in question, when such is not necessarily the case.

  9. Hot Shoe is off limits. Period. No different bodies, no different shocks or suspension pieces or anything. Not just to you, but anyone else who might have a notion to tinker with it. If I want anything done different to that truck I'll decide that for myself. For now, I want it left alone.
  10. If my truck "didn't look right to you" then don't look at it. I am a bit annoyed that you thought that you could go ahead and do whatever you please with my piece. Listen, it's wonderful that you are finally tinkering and learning how to do this stuff. I applaud you for learning and trying to throw in with the rest of this community to produce content, but you really should have asked for my permission before doing whatever you please with my truck. I know I haven't been around as of late, but I do still stop by to see what you all are working on, until I hopefully get the drive to finish/produce content again. That being said, you could have e-mailed me via this site. I would have received the message and let you know asap if it was ok or not. So sorry to burst your bubble, but I'd rather you cease from continuing on any modifications to my piece. In the future, please contact me first and wait to hear word from me before thinking about noodling with my content again.
  11. My favorite content that I've made would no doubt be Clarkson International Autodrome. While I don't know what has become of the league entirely, this track originated from being in discussions with Alex Vester on a schedule for the inaugural IDS-RoR season. I liked the idea of a venue in the UK. Alex agreed that it would be a cool idea. Yet we were stuck on what kind of a venue could be created. He finally said "just make a stadium and throw a random name on it." I then blurted out "Clarkson Stadium", to which he replied "oh my God! Do it!" Of course I wanted it to be more than a mere stadium with a random name on it. So I knew I had to go all out. Jr Seasock suggested a circular stadium with a circular floor. He also thought up the race course. The rest was my affair. The entire stadium, the incorporation of giant animated screens displaying Clarkson's face, the animated digital banners, the custom made models of Morris Marinas, Ford Transits, and Caravans to name a few. Much love and attention was poured out onto this track to give it the right look and feel. I'm still super proud of it. I like all the pieces of content I created. But this one is my favorite.
  12. MTD for me is the optimal mobile monster truck experience. It may lack Monster Jam trucks, the tracks may not be all that realistic, nor are the moves you can pull off in the game. However, as far as mobile monster truck gaming goes, I prefer something fun to pass the time with over something overly realistic. If I want to play a realistic monster truck game, I'd jump on my pc and play RoR.
  13. Johan, your paints never cease to amaze. Outstanding!
  14. Next Car Game is being developed by BugBear, the same company behind the FlatOut series of games. This game is still in the works and in a new video, they demonstrate their soft body damage system. http://www.teamvvv.com/en/news/comments/BugBear-demonstrate-Next-Car-Games-soft-body-deformation-in-damage-test-video
  15. If he was banned from here there would be a good reason for it. I don't consort with those who go around breaking rules and getting banned from this site, and I certainly wouldn't be giving them any content from here either. But that's just me. And the guy I think you're thinking of was gravediggerfan#1, but I can't confirm that.
  16. I want you to shut up SOOOOOOOO bad. Yeah go ahead. That's a great idea, asking about stuff like that. You'd be no better than this person in question who went about trying to find a way to get an early look at the V5 pack, subsequently causing all this grief, and this discussion. Nor would you be any better than the losers out there who are able to gain access to spoilers, scripts, and other such information from a developer working on today's console and pc games, resulting in that company having to extend development time, take damage control, and suffer financial headaches at the result of a no life loser who couldn't just wait, or be patient. Do us, and yourself a favor: stop whining, asking, and spamming about this pack or the contents therein. You'll get a taste of it when we all get a taste of it. Or continue. Maybe that would result in your ass getting permabanned from these forums, doing us all a favor. I certainly wouldn't miss you.
  17. Now that we understand each other, I must agree that none of this is helping matters. Whether we have V5 or not is again, not the end of the world. Content will come. Not in the form of a big pack, but by smaller releases at a time. That eases the pressure on the development staff and gives the guys on the sidelines an opportunity to contribute their talents to the cause. It's an opportunity. Where one door closes, another opens. And whatever was currently in production and close to completion won't be dropped. It'll be finished eventually and released, to those who have their undies in a bunch over such matters.
  18. Watch your attitude, slick. That is NOT what you said. You clearly stated As what was stated in the inital post: So "there's a good chance" shouldn't have factored in to it if you read it.
  19. You obviously didn't read the initial post. What he got wasn't any where close to finished. Nothing is minute about a hacker going in behind your back, invading one's privacy, trespassing where they don't belong to steal and damage. I'm glad you think this is a matter that can so easily be swept under a rug, but to those involved, it could have lead to numerous other headaches. I fail to see what you mean by "already turning in to MTM2". In MTM2 we didn't have a dedicated group working on truck packs. Whoever wanted to create whatever truck they wanted to see made was able to do so through having the models provided to them. It was left up to those users to fill in the gaps. If a certain Grave Digger didn't exist, then one, two or three users individually, or as a group would work to bring the truck to the community. Eventually, current trucks were brought to the community at a more rapid pace instead of huge leaps, months or years at a time.
  20. I love how an announcement like is made, and most of the annoying "takers" on this site who don't contribute anything useful to the community throw a tantrum and whine about how "they wanted this truck so bad" or "THIS IS PISSING ME OFF" in regards to a pack not being released. All ya'll whiners just shut up, because it pisses ME off. It's sad to see V5 "go out" like this, after the effort and hard work that was put in to it. I think a majority of us are a bit disappointed by the outcome. I however can live with it. I'm not an ungrateful no life peeve who's life just ended just because a virtual pack for a video game won't see the light of day as intended. It's a sad state of affairs. However, I do believe you guys made the decision that you felt was right to make. I'm just sorry that your hard work in this pack seemingly was torn to bits by some jackoff. And what content is that? As was stated, what this loser got away with isn't even a resemblance to what we could have expected from V5. The next line of your post can be taken as a slap in the face. These guys are surely not looking for an "easy way out". If they wanted an excuse not to finish the pack, they would have found one better than this. Have you contributed anything to this community? Who are you to make this statements? Even if these guys did want to stop working on the pack, isn't that their choice? It is done on their own time, their own schedules. They don't owe us anything. They don't even have to work on this stuff. Especially not when in the end, it's released in to the hands of ungrateful users who lose their head when they hear content won't be released that they somehow feel entitled to. My above statement deviates from the topic at hand. In the end, this isn't the end of the world. To those who are getting worked up because they won't get Grave Digger, or feel it's unfair that now they won't get the pack need to ease up, and shut up. Find a different hobby if this bothers you so badly.
  21. Hot damn Tharindu! Charlotte looks spectacular! Truly a fantastic looking piece. Out of curiosity: is that my fencing or did you construct that yourself? Either way, the fencing looks right on!
