  1. Pretty sure I'll be getting the Xbox One. Flame me if you want. I could care less...
  2. He needs to try and find a way to make all four wheels rotate even while in air. Keep in mind that while in air he's still throttling into it, and there is constant gyration of moving parts that can make the truck cork out or "water bottle". None more so I think than those four wheels spinning. There is probably other factors involved, but that's just what stands out in my mind. With that said, I'm quite tired of this "phenomena" already, imho. Throwing away hundered thousand dollar parts and machines, not to mention a driver being put at risk to do a stunt where the outcome could go completely wrong? All it takes is one bad accident in my mind... It might be different if this was more scientifically planned out. So far any testing seems to be nothing more than hear-say or "what if". Well I guess if Tom wants to continue to risk it and Feld continues to pay the bills, he'll continue at it until he nails it or hurts himself trying. Imho I just wish it would end.
  3. I happen to like both the Xbox I had, and my Xbox 360 that I still have. I would like Xbox One all the more if it wasn't for Microsoft's asinine "policies". It personally makes for an even more difficult decision for me as I now have learned that Turn 10 is bringing open wheel racing to Forza 5. More specifically: IndyCars and classic Formula 1 cars. Being the Formula 1 fan I am (especially of the 1950's and 1960's era) this just makes me want Forza all the more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnK_u5s30_g&feature=youtu.be http://forzamotorsport.net/en-US/news/Open_Wheel_6_11_13
  4. If you watch some past TNT shows, especially from Freedom Hall (which a lot of this track is based off of), you'll notice that at some shows there was a tight looking fit for the trucks to get staged. Thus I modeled the staging area as such. And the attach a monster truck to the sled is a hope of mine, but remains to be seen. Thanks for the comments!
  5. It's a hard choice for me to make. Mainly because Microsoft hasn't made it easy on me. Honestly the only reason why I'd get an Xbox One is for Forza 5. However, I don't see spending 560 bucks on the Xbox One with the "connect to internet once every 24 hour period" stuff. There was a period not to long ago that I went without internet for quite a few months, if not a year. God forbid that happens again, I'll just have me a $500 paper weight. I don't see me being without internet in the near future, but I never can tell with my situation any more. That's what angers me the most about the Xbox One. Why does the system that I paid a damn good high amount of money on render itself inoperable if I don't connect it once every 24 hours? Surely they could of handled this "reason" a much better way. Another factor is what console my best friend will get as we game ALOT cooperatively. He's already said that most likely he'll eventually get both consoles, but he'd probably get the PS4 first. The rest of the DRM/trade in/lend games to friends/used games thing doesn't bother me mainly because I buy new games, I hardly ever lend them out, nor do I trade them in. I can see however where that'd annoy some people to not have that freedom with a game they bought. I'd get a PS4 in a heart beat. However, I don't like the controller as much as I like Xbox's. Xbox's for me is more comfortable, and feels better. PS4 doesn't have Forza, and I'm not as much of a fan of Gran Turismo as I used to be (not meant to incite a war or insult any fans). How well does PS4 operate online? I heard from a friend that sometimes the PSN and or servers can be iffy. Now I know what some people might say: Get both. However, $300 plus on a PS4 and a game or two, just to then get a $500 Xbox One with one or two games is a hell of an expense. I had thought of waiting a year or two for the Xbox one to come down in price. By about that time I fully expect for Forza Horizon 2 and Forza 6 to be rolling out of the garage. I still haven't made a decision. At this point it's too soon to tell.
  6. File Name: ORL Figure 8 Shootout @ Mankato Speedway File Submitter: Hot Shoe File Submitted: 08 Jun 2013 File Category: Tracks Mankato Speedway is yet another track that I first created in MTM2. At the time, it was created/set in the 1980’s Renegades TNT Monster Truck Challenge era. Inspiration came from watching the Renegades TNT Monster Truck Challenge at Toledo Ohio. The original track hosted three different versions of racing: Drag, U-Turn (J-Turn) and of course, Figure 8. I had wanted to bring the track to RoR, and in doing so, bring it back with a modern day setting. Before I began construction of the track, Mark Colineri offered me the wonderful opportunity to construct a challenging Figure 8 track for his ORL league. All Mark wanted was for it to be of a Figure 8 layout, and for it to be a driver’s course. Thus, I offered up Mankato to play host to the ORL for this event. During construction, I enlisted JR Seasock to help with freestyle obstacle ideas/forms, and course layout. Eventually this lead to JR being enlisted into the DTC. This is our first track that we have created together. We brainstormed ideas, and JR greatly helped in this tracks development. From realizing the octagonal hit, to the creative idea of the triangular bus obstacle. Even down to the light poles that dot the track. JR played a heavy roll in this track’s development. It’s because of his help that this track is as good as it is. Proudly, Mankato Speedway hosts the ORL Figure 8 Shootout! Mirror 1 Should be the full version of the track. Mirror 2 Should be the LOW LAG version. Credits: Track construction: Me. Stands: Constructed by Me. Light poles: Constructed by Me. Billboards: Constructed by Me. Fencing: Constructed by Me. It allowed me to construct an amazing venue full of life, personality, real-world look/feel, and to bring Mankato from a 1980’s era in MTM2 to a modern day depiction in RoR. JR Seasock. For being such an incredible voice in this tracks development. From the realization of the octagonal hit, the triangular bus stack, the light poles and so much more. JR’s innovative and creative ideas helped to craft this track into the wild, fun and crazy event that it is. File Name: Traviss McCarthy Center - RedMan/TNT MTC File Submitter: Hot Shoe File Submitted: 07 Jun 2013 File Category: Tracks Traviss McCarthy Center – 1980’s RedMan/TNT Monster Truck Challenge Traviss McCarthy Center is yet another track I created in MTM2. Nearing completion, it fell by the way side, never completely finished, or released. Now in RoR/Sim-monsters, this track has been reborn and fully realized! Huge attention to detail was paid in the re-creation of this track in an attempt to make a venue that looked, felt, and screamed 1980’s TNT Motorsports. Hours of watching TNT event footage. Careful scrutinization of the sponsors and logos. All of this was taken into consideration in the attempt to make a custom TNT style event that not only replicated the look and feel of a TNT Motorsports event, but to attempt to take you back in time to such an event. Important notes: This track features a working pulling sled. Unfortunately you can’t control movement of the weight bar from the vehicle pulling the sled. This sled, however can be driven, repositioned, and more importantly, reset to its spawn point. The only vehicle I have found that can be attached to this sled is the 1st Gen Dodge Cummins by Box5diesel. You can get this vehicle here: http://www.rigsofrods.com/repository/view/1275 The sled used on this track is also originally done by Box5diesel, redone by jerom. It is The Black Fury sled. You must download this and install it to see/use it on this track: http://www.rigsofrods.com/repository/view/3891 To use the sled, you must back the vehicle up to where the chain is on the ground. Mouse drag the chain over the hitching ball, and press the L key on your keyboard. If you see the indicator light up saying “Load Locked”, then the sled has been successfully attached the hitch point. All the on track props (hay bales, pennant flags, Christmas tree, etc.) have been set with no-collide properties. For fun, the Truck Shop is in place for you to swap between your favorite trucks anytime you like. Credits: Original venue concept/creation: Me. Cars: Mark Colineri and Slickster edited by Me. 10. I made my MTM2 online racing debut in NTNT. That was such a good league, and great times. Fond memories, as well...
  11. I'm slowly starting to get back to track making. First order of business is finishing this up and releasing it. Until then...where my leafers at!?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=EfpkZ7h6EkE
  12. Could always learn to make it yourself...
  13. On a more technical side if you will...will this pack include updated/new physics for suspension/handling, and gearing/torque ratios?

To download PPRL tracks would mean someone, like Mark Colineri (as RoRFan21 mentioned) would have to make the track nearly from scratch. As was mentioned above me, there is no way to take a .pod convert it into the files RoR uses. So far, the only thing we can convert is the .bin models into .obj which can then be imported into Blender.
  15. I agree with you, Mister McCauley. Why do you care?
  16. I'm online. I'll be able to qualify participants until 6pm tonight. Message HotShoeMTRacing to get your runs in!
  17. Well it was a holiday after all. Some of us were either out with friends or family, while others might have just wanted to relax before having to return to the bump and grind the next day. We do after all have lives outside of this game...
  18. Curt, once again: thank you very much for the work you put into this. Much appreciated!
  19. Definitely will be picking one of these up. Forza 5 as a launch title? shutupandtakemymoney.jpeg.
  20. I am available to qualify from NOW until 6pm TONIGHT! Message HotShoeMTRacing to qualify!
  21. Great work, DiggerFan! Great work!

  23. Lol. Well that's what JR and I figured would make the track a driver's track: The race is made or broken in that long turn.
  24. The version of TS we're using is the latest version on the TS website. it's safe to download/install. We wouldn't ask you to download a program if it was going to screw up your system. ***EDIT*** I'm including a video and screenshot showing how the course is ran. THIS IS NOT A CHICAGO STYLE COURSE where you run three laps of the track. You start over the Penda style roller, into the turn, and across the set of cars once. Also, since it would seem some people have trouble finding my tracks in game, type IDS into the terrain loader search field, and you'll find it. Do I really have to say it? "How hard can it be?"
  25. Come on guys...ya'll need to be speaking up about this. Part of the issues we had last week was due to us not knowing that your replica trucks were post V4. We NEED to know if you have any trucks post V4 we haven't accounted for. Don't save this until the last minute. We can't have what happened last event happen again. We need you guys cooperation on this.
