  1. Great job man! Looking forward to tearing up my hometown track, but there's one issue I see. If there's no Monster Energy wedged in the bus stack destroying all hope for backflips, then the track is simply unacceptable. Haha!
  2. One of the shots I got tonight of the Jim and Chuck tango in Atlanta. Also, a quick meme I made that sums up how I felt about the backflip situation.
  3. Atlanta was awesome! Sucks that Coty killed the backflip ramp, but there were some amazing runs. Neil and Ryan killed it in freestyle and the Jim and Chuck collision was crazy. I'll have the pix up soon hopefully.
  4. From what I can tell from Tharindu's pic the track looks similar to last year. Guess we'll see what the have in store though. Still jazzed! Tomorrow can't get here quick enough.
  5. Can't wait to see the ATL track this year. I'm kinda digging that purple. It's nice to have a different color for a change.
  6. Not bad considering it's just a repaint of the black one I did for Chris H. I've actually been meaning to make one myself, but haven't made time. Might wanna tone the purple down just a bit, but other than that it looks pretty good.
  7. Honestly I'm exited about this years Atlanta show. This will be my 9th year in a row, and only my 3rd time seeing Ryan in person. Saw him in Vegas in 2010 during the Digger encore, and last year in Jacksonville. Also exited to see Bari in action. Last time I saw him in the Dome was before he was driving and still doing his RC shows. Really can't wait for Saturday!
  8. A few recent pix of my Wraith. Just finished repaiting the driver and getting him, and the homemade racing harnesses in the past couple days. Had just added the scale stuff to the rear and zip tied the driver in here. Got the truck cleaned up after those shot and back together with newly painted custom Axial tee for the driver and homemade five point racing harnesses. Looking to get the truck back out today. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good action shot and have them up soon.
  9. I believe this is just a fan render from Feld's purple Legend. Saw where Adam posted it up earlier. Really cool though.
  10. So just for clarification here, the reason that the Legend truck is called The Legend is because it represents a part of Grave Digger history in the fact that it has a very similar paint scheme to that of the original truck. Now with that being said, why in the hell is this truck still being called "Legend" with this new paint scheme? The only thing remotely nostalgic, in regards to Digger, is the use of the 50's panel truck body. In that case, why wouldn't we consider Chalkboard Chuck to be part of this family? Seeing as how it was running what was very possibly an old "Digger" body. I'm not sure who Feld is letting take charge of these changes lately, but it would seem as though they've let one of the executives' kids start running the design department for these new trucks. Even some of the drivers aren't happy with the "new" styles they're doing. Of course this is just the opinion of one man, but from my viewpoint I don't really see anything exciting coming, as of yet, in 2014.
  11. My sentiment exactly. Also, we're aware it's a render. Meaning that the end result will more than likely only be worse. Like I said though, I like that Feld is trying new things, but this is heading in the wrong direction.
  12. Just like I mentioned on MJ's Facebook post of the new El Diablo, it looks like Feld is trying to mesh it's circus side of the business with Monster Jam. The truck's design is a unique concept, but the application is terrible. The only way to tell what the truck is is for it to be constantly standing on end, otherwise it's just a mess. I'm all about keeping things fresh and exciting, but this is just one huge pile of nope for me.
  13. Yeah I know man, I'm really excited about the show! As long as the Falcons keep playing like crap we're good on keeping the same lineup. I'm excited to see Bari at the dome. Last time I saw him there was back when he was still doing the No Limit RC shows.
  14. Nice job on the Mutt, but there are just a few things I've noticed. First off, and I believe you've mentioned something about it, there is no fur texture on the main body. That effect wouldn't be hard to accomplish with some simple brush adjustments in Photoshop. Secondly, the gradients on the nose area seem to be too dark and too big. Also, the collar buttons seem a little big and there's also the issue of the highlight and shadow of the collar being the wrong colors. Other than that it looks good.
  15. One suggestion I would make is I personally wouldn't got that high on the second number, because in you pic it looks like the camera is on a 3 foot pole on top of the truck, but that's just me. I made a video a while back on how to set up the cinecam just for this type of thing. Maybe it can help you guys out. Here's the link:
  16. Just thought I'd share my latest RC video. Haven't made one in a while. Had some footage lying around from my trip to Joshua Tree, CA last October and decided to finally put it to use. It's nothing too spectacular, just mainly some on-boards of me driving around the dome home we rented and in Joshua Tree National Park. I've got more RC videos on my page as well if you guys are interested in checking them out. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy. Later.
  17. So I finally got the hang of using specular maps on the trucks. A big thanks to Rock and Harlow for helping me out. Spent a good bit of time tweaking the map for the Scorcher and also messed with one for the El Toro I did for Chris H. Scorcher update is in the download section, but read carefully because you'll need to get rid of some files in order to make the truck work properly. With Caelum sky enabled. Sandstorm sky enabled. Chris Hamilton's El Toro with a spec map and Rock's ukraines.
  18. So I've been driving the Scorcher around and couldn't help but notice how flat the paintjob seemed. Since I'm unfamiliar with making and applying spec maps, I decided to tweak the .material file to give it a little more shine. Update should be up for download soon. With Caelum sky enabled. With sandstorm sky enabled.
  19. I told ya I'd take a shot at retro fitting the black El Toro paintjob I did. Just let me know.
  20. Let one of the new guys practice on it.
  21. Meant to post these up here sooner but forgot about it. Took a trip to North Carolina recently and on the way back we stopped off at Crowders Mt State park. Like most outta state trips I go on I had one of my trucks with me, don't leave home without it. I took the Wraith along up the mountain hike and found a lot of nice trailing/crawling spots. Here are a few pix.
  22. File Name: Georgia Scorcher 2 File Submitter: JDeezie82 File Submitted: 16 Sep 2013 File Category: V4 Customs Here's my revamped GA Scorcher. I've included two versions of the truck, one with John Dough's Goodyears, and one with Rock's Ukraines. As always, this is not a stand alone truck file, you'll need to add the files in the .zip file to your V4 files. Just incase, I've included the files that are required to make the truck work that I didn't edit, eg., Dough's Raptor chassis and Goodyears, and Rock's Ukraines. I hope you guys have fun with the truck. Credits: John Dough - Raptor body, chassis, and Goodyear tires Rockcrwlr - Ukraine tires Sim-Monsters crew - Various V4 components Myself - Paintjob, retexturing of a few chassis parts, and V3 Scorcher wheels If there's anyone I missed, let me know. IMPORTANT: If you downloaded a previous version of the truck you'll need to remove the following ".material" files from you SMV4.zip pack in order for the trucks to properly show the new spec maps. Just move these files out of the pack or delete them: ScorcherV2.material, SwayBarORG.material, SwayBarORG1.material, ORG4link.material, scorcherRim.material. Once you've added the new files and removed the ones mentioned above, clear and regen your cache and you should be good to go. Click here to download this file
  23. Yeah but sometimes your constructive criticism can come off as a little confusing and harsh. Maybe he didn't understand what you meant, or maybe he just did what he could, either way it's his creation and if it's not your cup of tea then don't download it. Not trying to instigate anything, just saying that constantly going about on here saying that all the work you don't like is crap tends to paint you in a negative light. No one here claims to be a pro at this type of stuff, we're all learning. Also, sorry for the double post fellas.
