Same here! Went to the TORC series the first time it came to Charlotte a couple years ago, and had a blast! That's the bad thing about living on the East coast is there's hardly a following for offroad racing.
Just a couple things I've done recently.
Made a sun.
Took one of my Mojave desert pix from my Cali trip back in October and made it a little more moist.
Two main things i don't like about the Traxxas trucks are that they're only 2wd and have independent suspension, both things that their real life counterparts are not. Other than that they're good.
Depends on what you're wanting to do and how concerned you are about it being close to the real thing. IMO, a Wheely King with a Traxxas Monster Jam body would be a good looking "scale" starter. I've had my King for almost 5 years now and it's a ton of fun. Just do some online researching and find what would best suit you.
Thanks man. I'm still tweaking the colors on the horns. For the yellow i just used the original horns, switched the colors, and blurred then a little. I might just redo them. The truck still needs an AO bake as well but for some reason when I try doing one in the blender I have it roughly shades half the body and had has a bunch of triangle spots missing. I'll see what Chris wants to do and go from there.
Got a little spare time and worked on the paintjob I'm doing for worldfinals'(Chris Hamilton's) El Toro Loco 2013. Adjusted the colors of the flames, repositioned a few things, and got the side logos on. Still working on getting the tailgate to look right. Hoping to have it finished up and sent over to Chris soon so he can get the truck finished up and uploaded.
Just finished up my ATL pix and thought I'd share. Here are just a few. I'll link the albums below. Enjoy.
And here are the album links with the rest of the pix.
