  1. Are you two related by any chance?
  2. RKM

    Hi everyone

AIM yes more than likely, I'd recommend version 7.5.11.9 as the new versions group chat is broken. As of right now all leagues use 0.37
  3. You and your Nazi propaganda. Mine has to be when I was banned, don't we all miss that?
  4. You clearly have no clue that almost the entire population are the decedents of illegal immigrants.
  5. Interesting how this was completely dodged by him. You couldn't find a point at the top of a mountain.
  6. Racist much? Also I'm not sure what you mean by "America", does that imply you also care about Mexico and Canada as well or just the US? Maybe you should look at a map and decide.
  7. 1) Been tried and has failed every single time because it creates an entirely new of problems. 2) It already exists and you're not improving it without modifying the actual code of the entire game though some tracks do offer skyboxes with day and night versions which has been the workaround for such a thing. 3) That would be great to have but I highly doubt we will ever see it but if you're expecting to get point and click full blown truck and track making go find another game because it's not going to happen in RoR. Also you should keep in mind that the original RoR team completely abandoned the game in favour of BeamNG which still has a multitude of the same problems. (As far as I'm aware at least) We all do this in our free time to improve the game for as many people as possible and if you really want to see what it used to be like then go find a download of Monster Truck Madness 1 and 2 because that's pretty much all we had before RoR got really popular amongst that crowd which funny enough always caused arguments on MTM2 forums. RoR is not and never has been nor will it ever be an easy game to create content for, Blender the main ingredient for content creation has a massively steep learning curve that some people don't even get it installed properly before they give up. If anyone really wants to help move everything forward you should start learning Blender and how to use it with RoR. Also something else that really needs to stop is putting down everyone that posts their first mod or creation. The negativity towards it is why we have no one making trucks or tracks anymore and every single one of us is guilty of it. Maybe we should.... I don't know, try to be helpful instead? Almost the entirety of this thread to me seems like you're asking everyone to cater to what you specifically want to have in RoR or to upgrade because you think it' s good idea which it isn't a bad idea but you keep forgetting to look at it from the OTHER side that is the creator's point. Which isn't entirely your fault because you still seem somewhat knew despite having a previous account. Here is the very simple TL;DR version: If you want us to upgrade you shouldn't expect any new trucks or tracks for at least 6 months or a year. Though I have an odd feeling you'd be on of the first in line complaining if that were to happen.
  8. In all honesty and as much as I dislike being the one to put it like this.... re-read all of your posts. You want this and that and you have not offered anything to the community presently no have you in the past (Did your old account get banned?) That is what's wrong with this community and why it is slowly dying and one of the biggest reasons I have almost no interest in the game anymore.
  9. Well for starters 4 posts in a row that could all be in one single one seems like a probable to me. As for why we haven't switched? Because the majority of the threads suggest an upgrade to 0.38 or 0.39 which is absolutely pointless. Many of us are actually in favour of upgrading to a new version but almost everyone I've talked to agrees it needs to be 0.4.X+ to even be worth bothering with in the first place. Problem #2 it will make 99% of the content on this site currently unusable and I do not foresee anyone putting together a team to remake 300+ trucks and hundreds of tracks and just to be safe let's mention the thousands of other variables you need to factor in when using a recently released version of a game that was never optimized well from the first release, surely it's been improved but the only real way to fix it right is to start over and we all know that is not going to happen. Most of the crashing problems people have are actually memory errors which is again how lovely the game is optimized for performance (it isn't) and a fairly stable fix i and others have found was smaller texture sizes because let's face it, you should never have a 2048x2048 image for something you're never going to see anyway. As far as the upgrade goes you're looking at it entirely one sided which when it comes to a major change like that you can not do. You have to take in everything and evaluate where it stands and weigh the pros and cons of staying where we are or upgrading. If you don't like it that's fine but before you rush to asking people to abandon what many of us waited 10 years for maybe you should try to learn a few things about the current version we use.
  10. Than you to everyone that turned out to help make this event happen! Special thanks to Wambo for planning a lot of it with me in a short time including him making the track. Chadwick for saving me a few times during the event when my computer didn't know whether to toaster or potato, Mark Colineri for hosting the server and also officiating in game. Extra thanks to Jon Cannon for streaming the event so everyone in the chat had something to watch. I probably forgot a few people but it happens. We had some pretty surprising races throughout the night including a few from rollovers that swayed potential favorites out early. In the end it came down to #1 vs #2 on the qualifying list and it took all 3 races in the finals to decide the winner and that would be Mark Colineri in one of the closest races of the night. With freestyle being out of a total high of 50 everyone was going for the win and we saw a lot of unfamiliar names land in the top spots with plenty of wow moments and spectacular moves for the new-ish hybrid freestyle genre. At the end of the night with all the scores tallied Blake Thompson and Maximum Destruction walked away with the victory by one point over Chadwick Deerfoot and Andrew Sheets. Thank you to everyone that participated even if you weren't able to make the event tonight. If you wish to see all of the results you can check out the entire google document here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16VIqf2ykhubqQd_fryHW00aFrS21Hi42vRrlP__qucw/edit?usp=sharing Congratulations to Mark and Blake on their wins and putting their names in a special place in Sim-Monsters events!
  11. Yes you can but it involves editing the zip files for textures in the main RoR directory and no it is not easy but it is possible.
  12. Going to extend qualifying until Saturday before the event.
  13. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16VIqf2ykhubqQd_fryHW00aFrS21Hi42vRrlP__qucw/edit?usp=sharing Also in the first post on page one. Going to add this here as well to avoid possible confusion. You back out of the shed to turn around, not back the entire way to the finish. The only real penalty for qualifying is not crossing the blue line in the shed with your rear tires, failure to so will result in a 5 second penalty. Not really going to count or look for one tires because odds are you'll be penalizing yourself but you if blatantly miss a ramp for an advantage you will be penalized. The trees are set to collide so again no extra penalty for hitting them. If you roll coming to the finish your time will still count IF you make it to the finish line otherwise it will be labeled as Did Not Finish (DNF) in the actual racing bracket depending on the severity of the rollover you will be done for the entirety of racing whether you win or not. Extra information You get 2 timed passes in each lane, 1 practice pass that can be timed if you so choose and the option to redo 1 of your official passes if you did not like the time or feel you can do better however if you choose this you will NOT get to pick between 2 times, you will get the redone time and you are stuck with it. In total you get 3 passes with a maximum of 4 with the redo option. Your AVERAGE time is what will be used for the seeding order, this rewards consistency but faster times will help but you are no longer 100% reliant on just that. Any other questions please post here or message me on AIM.
  14. It's open all week and will probably close Saturday at 12:00AM EST this way everyone should have more than enough time to get at least one pass in.
  15. Track is up, and here is the layout. Thank you Wambo QUALIFYING IS OPEN Message me rkmphotog07 or beardman53mt on AIM to qualify!
  16. Trucks all look good. Is it really necessary to quote the post right above yours with multiple pictures? I understand wanting to quote a post but you know you can remove the images from them right?
  17. It's in the RoR configurator under the Network tab, just click update and it should show up. Also just to avoid future problems I'm going to limit truck changes to one as of now mostly to avoid confusing and having to rush officials around because someone changes at the last second because you would think that wouldn't be a problem but I've seen it happen multiple times in the past. If you decide to switch make sure you want it as you will be stuck with it once you make the choice to switch.
  18. That's fine, you could try testing on the CIFPO server also everyone keep in mind we are running on .37 for this event.
  19. Just to note this will be ending on the 19th at 12:00am midnight est.
  20. I wasn't going to make a new thread for this but seeing as I can't edit it into the existing one nor can an admin I don't really have a choice and I'd rather the poll be on the site than through an external source.
