  1. Convert the xml that blender exports into a .mesh. You have to get the OGRE XML Converter. Look around for that and how to get it working. I think it might come with ROR, in its program files folder somewhere. Can't remember off the top of my head what i did, but that should point you in the right direction. Anyway, when it's all setup, just open .xml files with the converter and it'll spit out a .mesh.
  2. Always the best trucks from you. So unique.
  3. I don't have a solution, but I just want to ask if there is a reason you are typing in all caps. It drives some people nuts and they might not answer because of it. Also, it's harder to read.
  4. Honestly, I didn't even know an older Bounty Hunter body existed. Looked it up and well...cool.
  5. Hey, look at that. Bigfoot caught up with early 90s graffiti.
  6. This really needs a higher resolution texture. I love the paint scheme on this thing, but the texture is just too dull and flat. Maybe you could saturate and add contrast to the texture. Still, i love the new gunslinger. Very happy to have one
  7. Well this is odd. I do have an importer and it does work. So.......idk. I have no idea where I got it from now, though, so that makes this all the more confusing.
  8. Ooooh. So it wasn't just the Youtube video of speed's coverage I watched. They actually messed up the audio on their end. NBC Sports has done an awesome job thus far with alternative, less popular racing events. F1 coverage is a bit more in depth than on Speed, where Nascar overrides everything. They might be a good spot for Monster Jam. They might actually put some effort into it. Also, I think what would give them far more pull with networks is to develop some sort of series within their schedule. 10-15 of their events could be points-earning. This way it gives people a reason to watch beyond Tom Meents flipping over and carelessly slamming the throttle to get back on all four wheels (hehehe). Digger, Max-D, and whoever else could battle for points at all the major events. This will make racing, which is a throwaway now, much more interesting. It'll also give the World Finals some purpose as well. A REAL championship is at stake. Paying non-Feld drivers based on success, which I don't think they do now, would probably help make the competition less repetitive and predictable. Enough Max-D, Digger, Max-D, Grinder, Digger, Digger, Max-D, Digger Legend, Digger. Jimmy Creten would have a reason to destroy his truck when there is potential for big bucks. My two cents.

    help

Did you put the pack inside the "SMV4" folder or just inside the "packs" folder. I believe you have to put it inside the SMV4 folder.
  10. I don't know how 2.49 works as I use 2.65 and they are quite different, and I'm a relative amateur, but I'll take a swing anyway. Have you assigned the texture to the faces? I noticed when I append/link one of Klayton's crush cars, they show up pink in textured mode until I assign the material with the UV mapped texture to to the faces. Basically I select all the faces (ctrl-a in 2.65) and just click assign in the material tab. If you are using 2.49, the process may be a bit different, but maybe you can get to the same conclusion. Hopefully I didn't cause more confusion than necessary.
  11. I love those Raptors. And they came along awfully quick. Can't go without mentioning that lovely MicroMachines truck.

    help

I don't know the answer to the first question, but yes, there is damageable ("breakable", for future reference) versions of some of the SMV4 trucks. I haven't used them so I can't say how good they are, but here is a link to them: http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/files/file/819-breakable-beta-pack-major-update/
  13. Can you explain how you fixed it, so other people with a similar issue can try what you did? Just think that might be helpful to others. I actually had that problem multiple times and each time it was because i either didn't assign the material to the faces or I didn't put the texture in the folder with the mesh.
  14. I don't have Winrar, but maybe you can extract individual files, edit them in notepad, and then add the file back into the zip. If you are going through all or a bunch of the V4 trucks to change them, a last resort option could be to just unzipped the entire pack, edit everything you want in one big swoop, and then zip it back up. I have all my trucks unzipped in my vehicles folder. It's a mess if you want to download things besides monster trucks, but if you can't find any solution, you could try that at your own risk.
  15. Did you put the body's texture image within the same folder as the mesh?
  16. I made a tutorial with all the info you'd need to get it working properly. Just skip to step 2 and go from there. http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/52-getting-started-with-rigs-of-rods-sim-monsters/
  17. I had the same problem, but I sortta knew it was coming. I have no idea why and I'm not so sure it is supposed to work this way, but I had to put all my sounds into one soundscript to get them working. Copy and paste the script into the normal Grave Digger soundscript, after everything else, and see if that works.
  18. Love that Big Dump truck. Completely unique truck. Glad the update is now out.
  19. Ive been hoping someone would make an El Diablo. Minus the Max-D DoD trucks, it is probably my most wanted. Looks good.
  20. Not to take away from the seriousness of your concern or anything, but that first line almost made me crack up laughing. "Im starting to talk to people online". Oh really? As for your actual problem...idk.
  21. If I understand what you're saying, I think you want to go to "cinecam", not props. I've played around a bunch with the on-board cams to get better viewing angles. I believe it is the second number.
  22. Is the Superman cape going to be changed to black? i vaguely remember you or someone else asking about how to change the cape's color. Was that ever figured out? The red cape would take away from the whole Darth Vader thing. Anyway, I like the concept and from what I can see, they turned out pretty good...minus that darn cape, of course.
  23. I have no idea how far along you are, but I'll take it that you are an absolute beginner. I'm no veteran either. Anyway, here we go... 1. Download Rigs of Rods - Download ROR version 0.37.126 from THIS link. On that page are two files. One is the actual Rigs of Rods game and the other is the content pack. If you want to do anything else besides driving monster trucks (you will), I suggest downloading that too. It has a variety of terrains, buses, cars, trucks, and all sorts of neat stuff to play around with. 2. Download Sim-Monsters V4 Pack - Download the pack HERE. This is the giant pack of trucks we all start with. There is well over 100. It's all the ones you'd want and then a ton you probably haven't even heard of. When it is downloaded you simply put the pack into the "packs" folder inside the Rigs of Rods folder (that was installed automatically) within your Documents folder. 3. Download Tracks - The V4 Pack is only trucks. You have to download tracks individually. Just go to the "Downloads" section of this site, HERE, and search around for tracks you want to use. After downloading them, place them into the "terrains" folder, again, inside the Rigs of Rods folder (that was installed automatically) within your Documents folder. 4. Get More Stuff - Once you are bored of the trucks or just want more tracks, you can go back to the "Downloads" section and find a TON of additional trucks and tracks to download. Make sure any trucks you download from Sim-Monsters.com, unless the description says otherwise, go into the V4 pack folder. After downloading, extract the .zip straight into that folder. For tracks, you follow the same procedure as in Step 3. In addition, you can go on the official Rigs of Rods website's repository (HERE) and find all sorts of other stuff, including planes and boats. Pretty much all of those should go into the "vehicles" or the "terrains" folder. 5. Multiplayer/Online - I haven't gotten into online racing, but it is a main piece of the puzzle on Sim-Monsters. So if you get bored just blasting around like a psychopath in your own little world (I don't mind), you can try that out. I can't guarantee this is still up to date, but it is a little guide that includes a bit of info on how to get started. http://sim-monsters.com/index.php?/tutorials/article/3-guide-to-sim-monsters/. So there you go. I just spent 45 minutes at 2am to give you and any other beginners a half-decent path to enjoying Rigs of Rods. Hope it was worth it. NOTE: - You might notice there is a newer version of Rigs of Rods, 0.38.67. You can use it, but it is plagued with a missing tire issue on trucks in the V4 Pack. There is a fix you can find on these forums, but I strongly suggest that if you aren't confident you won't mess things up, don't bother. No point in dealing with the agony of messing everything up and having to re-download and re-install. I personally do use 0.38, but it was a time-consuming pain in the --- to get it working and I was fully willing to take the risk and "waste" my time.
