  1. Yum! They all look good, but I really would love to get my hands on the new Gunslinger, post-smoothing of course. I've always enjoyed something about the paint schemes and body styles Hartsock used. And this new body is by far the best.
  2. This is the first time I fiddled around with a truck. There was an abandoned Monster Patrol body in the V4 pack (i think) and I made some use of it, adding a custom MP paintjob and flares for the lightbar. Didn't see anybody else making use of it. Anyway, here is a short trial after I finished it up and slapped it onto the Tropical Thunder chassis.
  3. Unfortunately I don't remember how exactly I got it in the game, but the only good, full replacement I've found is Fat Alfie's HUD. Definitely the best I've come across and way better than the basic ROR display. Check out this link and if you can't figure it out (i couldn't at first), just search around the thread. http://www.rigsofrods.com/threads/66628-Fat-Alfie-HUD?p=722387&viewfull=1#post722387
  4. A cheap sub $500 Acer. Year and a half old. Just a 2.2GHz Intel Core i3-2330M with Intel HD Graphics 3000, 4GB ram, 500GB HDD. It is a miracle that Rigs of Rods runs as well as it does on this thing. I expected a catastrophic fail when I first downloaded it.
  5. That thing is pure beauty. I can't think of the words to describe just how lovely that thing looks.

    Wildwood 2011

Great to see my yearly vacation spot in the downloads. What a treat when I found it. Awesome course. The only thing that would make it better is the bumpiness that MJFanatic's Virginia Beach has, but more tame as Wildwood's beach is incredibly smooth.
  7. Higher Education Son Uva Digger Lucas Oil Crusader I also really like Outlawed's Big dump custom.
  8. Probably my favorite track. Love the flat out straights and wide turns you can drift through. Awesome.
  9. Creative concept. The parking lot needs to be extended to not only match real life walmarts, but also to make it less likely to have the truck dip off into the base terrain.
  10. Cool little track. I love freestyling in these little arenas. It takes focus to avoid hitting walls and creativity to make the most of very few obstacles.
  11. I feared this would be unrealistic and overboard, but the jumps are fairly realistic levels. World Finals type heights. I lik it.
  12. It was such a treat when I found this on here. I've been to the Diesel Nationals many times and this brought back memories, even though I think this specific version is for another event at Raceway Park. Sometimes it's a pain to drive, but I think that's how the actual track is, so for realism it's perfect.
  13. Huge points for uniqueness. Sometimes I want realism and sometimes I want fantasy. Well done.
  14. The dips at the edges are a tad frustrating. I don't know if those are really there in the stadium, but I can't imagine they would be for safety reasons. Also, the jumps are a bit excessively large. But hey, some people probably enjoy the larger-than-life scale.
  15. Wow! When you said slippery you meant it. Fun to try to navigate.
  16. This is really impressive. It is visually overwhelming. Really captures the intimidating scale of a stadium.
  17. I like how tight it is. It takes precision to avoid hitting a barrier without losing momentum. One problem is the dropoff onto the grass. That has unnecessarily ruined my runs...though I'm only time trialling
  18. Cool mid-size track. I like it.
  19. I agree with Sean about the starting line gap. It is impossible to run with checkpoints on 0.38 (i realize we are building for .37). I know this was for accuracy and realism, but I still would enjoy the track more if there was a small opening to spin a truck around back there. But this is nitpicking. I really enjoy it in every other aspect.
  20. I LOVE the bumpiness. It lends such a realistic feel to the track. Way better than the usual perfectly flat terrains
  21. Yes. I second this. Texturing is by far the most frustrating part for me. I can build models pretty well for a beginning in Blender, but the materials and texturing just go right over my head. And i've read every wiki.
  22. Yeah, I use .38 without any noticeable issue. There may be little problems I don't notice, but I've used both .37 and the latest stable .38, and haven't noticed a single problem beyond the known issue of some trucks not having tires. But there is a very simple fix where you put the flag data below the tire data in the .truck file. It is time consuming, but 30 minutes of pain and you get all the benefits of .38, which include being able to switch trucks on any terrain (and delete them), checkpoints that actually work, and better fps.
  23. No need to worry about that. Fox Sports 1 is what SPEED will be replaced with. It will merely take the channel position of SPEED. SPEED's channel slot isn't going anywhere. What you do have to worry about is Fox Sports 1/SPEED dropping Monster Jam coverage entirely. That would suck. More than likely, though, they will move it over to Fuel before getting rid of it, which I believe will become Fox Sports 2. If you get Fuel now, you will get Fox Sports 2 when they switch names.
  24. I hope a drop in sponsorship doesn't drop Monster Jam off a cliff, but I wouldn't mind not having to hear "Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam" on every show. What a wordy title. It is even worse when they mention the fans. "Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam fans". Geesh! Alright. We get it. AAP sponsors it. We understand.
