  1. Basically what I did was download the model. I replaced the textures in the model and saved it. Then I opened my truck and tried to append both the batteries and transmission as a object, both of which appended with no textures. Ive had no issue such as this before.... heck I have half the truck finished via appending models I used on another truck, but these two just wont work with me. When I reopen the models..... ex. (transmission2014.mesh) it opens textured just as I had left it.
  2. For the record I also ran into the issue with rocks battery being white. I assume whatever the fix, will remedie both.
  3. Technically both..... When I try to append the 249 one its pink. When I try to do the non 249 one its white. Both are respectively saved as blends with textures applied.
  4. Ive been working on a project which ive been appending truck props into the truck. I keep every prop separate and textured so I can add them when/ however I need. However one prop refuses to append with its textures..... that being Rock's 2014 Transmission. No matter how I save it, where, name etc it always appends un textured. Anyone else have this issue? Know of a fix?
  5. I hope you fix the tires facing the wrong direction.
  6. What you basically just proved to everyone.
  7. I really loved those green conseco cars in the nr2002 days. Looks really good on the SK as well.
  8. All new. Combined a little of this current scheme with the old schemes plus a few things I liked from my previous lowes schemes. Refreshed this one a bit. No major changes other than cleaning up the rainbow a little
  9. Butler Built doesnt sponsor monster jam. If you want to create a semi realistic sponsor panel check this and use only sponsors from here(http://www.monsterjam.com/uploadedImages/monsterjamsponser2015.jpg ) or better yet use a picture to try and match the sponsor panels as best as possible( https://www.monsterjam.com/uploadedImages/News/2015/morgankane_maxd.jpg )Probably better pictures out there if you look for them. Probably needs the silly maxd flag as well.
  10. if it walks like bs, looks like bs, and smells like bs............. its bs. (regarding the BKT's)
  11. Shouldn't you be like doing school stuff? I mean this place is pretty slow, it was never my forum of choice to check when I had a slow class with computers.
  12. With round two right around the corner I figured I had better share the happenings of Round 1! Full album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskonxxJd
  13. Huge step in the right direction! For me the brakes were over powerful. These trucks stop well, but not that well. I was taping the brake and getting instant lock ups. personally I prefer a number around 18000. Seems to be the right mix for not being over powerful or "OMG NO BRAKES!" Think there may be a tad bit more grip than necessary, however I'm still testing so the jury is still out on that. I like that you cant throw the trucks around and drift them all about.
  14. Not going to lie, Im glad they are gone. Some people had gotten obnoxious with them and took up way to much space.......
  15. beginsarcasm/ Biggest shock ever [actualfacts/] Adam is driving Grave Digger [/actualfacts] Wow I never saw that coming /endsarcasm
  16. I am still so tired of seeing that f-150 body when I walk by one in a parking lot I still roll my eyes......... The end of that body will never be to soon. They've toned it down but the bedsides still get used on most of the 3d "truck" bodys so...... Wish the Dodge body superman ran and the chevy body Suzuki ran would get used more but w/e.
  17. I'm with Tom........ The Fun Factor left for me......... It had become more of hassle than it was worth. I had achieved what I had always wanted to do from the MTM2 days (win a racing and freestyle event). The challenge of driving the trucks had begun to diminish and it just wasnt fun anymore. The trucks used to be a handful, those who were winning races where on the ragged edge and pushing the trucks for all they had (both racing and freestyle). Today you can do the same with literally no excitement. The trucks slide like they are on glass even at stupidly high rates of speed. No matter what you do they land fine and shrug it off.... The challenge of putting the truck on the edge of control is non existent. Any other sim (Iracing, Dirt Rally, etc.) when you're on the edge of control you know it, and to that point its very hard to drive in each of those sims at the very edge of control. Today in Sim-Monsters anybody can drive at the edge of control because it isn't hard. Its lost the Sim feel..... and thus lost the simulation based fans that originally ran both RORMj and the first season of SM... Im not even going to talk about how online events are run today........
  18. A lot of those mods aren't going to be easy to find anymore SS.net COT mod (site has closed)(became bull ring) 1970 (or something similar mod) Bull Ring gen 6 PWF Trucks (site closed ages ago) PWF Trans-am (See above) Riox COT mod (maybe still avaliable?) Newer old style cars are basically just car files, check NNracing for those Should also be some Nationwide mods somewhere..... SRD had a huge hand in them way back when but not clue now Team Omega also had a newer truck mod as well Tracks are just sorta all about......... It looks bad(because its old) but this is probably your best bet for finding mods and tracks........ over time some have been deleted so dont expect them all to work. http://nr2k3.weebly.com/ EDIT here's and older resource, a lot of the links are probably dead but every once and awhile you can find a hidden gem thats still working http://www.nr2k3tracks.com/
  19. good luck.......... If using the 3d printed parts in stress related areas the parts often just snap. A couple people tried various 3d printed wheels and it resulted in the same out come...... always broken and in a short period of use. If you're going to try to make a fuel cell or other scale parts go for it, should do them well and at a decent quality if done right. Actual truck parts, dont waste your time unless the truck is a shelf queen and you will never ever run it.
  20. Why are you STILL using the sponsor panels that Mark made for josh's digger? Grave Digger isnt sponsored by the Chicago Bears and it never will be......They aren't hard to make.... Fix it. Literally the easiest thing to do for these trucks.......
  21. I guess it was you... misinterpreted what you said....... I also added to much "ARRR IMA PROOVE U WRG M8" attitude(wasn't intentional but re reading it, it sounds like it was). It was supposed to just be a post saying/proving/educating how many top organizations don't use logo changes to meet different graphical "phases". Clearly it was not taken that way. When I said it doesn't matter, I was saying it doesn't effect anything show wise. External effects are obvious, I understand those and the reason for doing so. I knew when I said that it would come back to get me, and it did. Like switching Pepsi's main color from blue to RED would drastically effect its marketability and being able to be recognized by consumer quickly while purchasing. Or like changing UPS to SUP, obviously a huge change and consequences would be drastic..... Though choosing a shipping option for products from SUP might be kinda cool lol. Logos dont effect internal matters, thats how I should have worded it. Its like Make-up for an already great company( if you're company is trash no fancy logo is going to save it) On the note for the BKT truck, Coty's Chassis is still overseas. Thats the new chassis Monster energy displayed on at the Monster Energy Cup.
  22. Did you even read my post? I made a simple comparison from other major sports logos to monster jam. I was using my finding as proof that sports/entertainment doesn't have to change logos to go with the times, and in fact most dont. As for the 1998 claim, I'd love to see proof as I don't recall the triangle being used until the late 99/ early 2000 year. Up until that they had used the USHRA logo as I recall. I believe it was originally called the Monster Jam World Tour and just used fonts rather than logos until the "world tour" part was dropped in the early 2000's/very late 1990's. Even then I don't remember the Monster Jam triangle logo being used until at least 2002/2003 by Monster Jam at shows(though this is all on memory). If you call the 1970 to 2008 a change....... all they did was remove stars...... Color differences can be from where each logo was acquired. But ill take the knock for being wrong on that.My listed NHRA change is from the logo you posted to the second; as I noted, Not sure why you posted it? Only confirms what im saying. My quick fifa search led to my findings, clearly they were wrong. What you used for f1 is the various logos they allow to be used by promoters etc. I was making the note on the change in logo to the stylized F as your post shows. Before that it was something else, I cant find it right now(of course) but it was something very different. But if you going to call the NFL logo a change then technically the monster jam logo has changed a ton over the years. Change from the USHRA logo on the bottom to the Built Ford Tough Logo(early 2000's) Change back to the USHRA logo on the bottom (mid 2000's). Removal of the USHRA logo (late 2000's) Re done logo which dropped the use of the "metal" textures, and instead used solid gray colors (2010's) Advanced Auto Parts banner added then removed (early 2010's) (In advertisements) Use of MJ logo with dirt explosion more widely used. (mid 2010's) I dont care that its changed, mainly because at the end of the day logos effect nothing. My point was being made to which ever person stated something along the lines that logos should always be changed to meet the changing world. I was using my references as examples of major groups similar to Monster Jam that rarely change the logo of their "sport", thus proof you dont need to change a logo to meet the times. That was all that I was trying to show.
  23. Nascar's Logo hasn't changed since 1978 MLB's logo hasn't changed since 1970 The NFL logo hasn't changed since 1970 NBA logo hasn't changed since 1971 FIFA logo hasn't changed since 1994 F1 logo hasn't changed since the early 2000's NHRA- Since the mid 80's So tell me how "necessary" it is to keep logos constantly changing... Looks like every major sport/race series apart from monster jam has been able to keep the same logo for many years, if not decades. Several of which (NHRA, Nascar, F1) all have more corporations involved than Monster Jam will ever have.......
