Metallica530
Am I the only one that sees the shape of an old 70's Nissan Fairlady in that? Yes? M'kay. Looks cool, Mark. Curious to see what the finished product looks like.

Patriotic Canadian
The first of many. And yes, i know it's kind of crap. I think the blueprints i have are way off.
jb1121
How do i add things to a chassis? I'm just wondering
Patriotic Canadian
the way it should be is that there's a prop placing UI, and you pick and choose your part and put it on the chassis, which exports it as a .truck. But how it actually is, either you spend hours lining up separate props with .truck files, by hand editing the coordinates, or you just model everything onto the frame in blender. have fun.
Outlawed
oh god how I would love that
Patriotic Canadian
I saw a screenshot of one they had for BeamNG. But, you know, they didn't release any tools for that yet, and frankly i'm fairly sure that's going to end up killing the game
JJfan48
.DAE models work inside BeamNG, and they have something in game to mess with Jbeams to add to models i believe
SealedGecko
BeamNG is placement is simple. Everything goes into one .dae file. You line everything up in blender, like 4 links from chassis to axle, things like that, the model gets exported the same in blender as it will show in-game. Tom P.
Putting things in BeamNG is SO much easier than RoR. Its insane.
Patriotic Canadian
yeah well, still no nodebeaming tools, and i know they had a prop placing UI. And it makes zero sense that they released without either, and even less when you think that that was three months ago. Anyway,. another one. kind of crap, but i can't be bothered to spend more than a half hour on these things. And the current ones are like thirteen triangles, so yeah. I can't do worse.
JJfan48
Are these for BeamNG, RoR or both?
Outlawed
well its not like you are limited to one or the other
Patriotic Canadian
As i've said before, even on this page, I'll work with BeamNG when they want me too. And i seriously believe the lack of any goddamned tools to make content for a content based game will kill beamNG. It's like GMOD without addon content, what the hell is left?
